Deanna...now dont you ever worry about us being too hard on you! We're all here for support and encouragement, not to be judgmental. We all have our good days, bad days and in btwn days, the important thing is is to not give up! I dont blame you for not walking at those temperatures, I wouldnt either! Glad it's only in the 50s here!!

My eating today wasnt as good as I planned...mostly an extra serving of cheesy potato soup with an extra serving of bread. My plan was to only have one serving of each....but, well...that didnt happen :(

Weigh-in isnt til Thursday so I hope to get in some good cardio sweat fests and shed off the potato soup and bread cals!!
 
Evening Ladies :)

Okay I did Low Impact Step, I do not know if I like it or not too many jumps, kicking, and combinations. I was sweating profusely, which is a good thing and was sooooooo glad when Cathe said "you are all done." :)

It stormed here for a good 2 - 3 hours, which brought the Temp down. When I completed Low Impact Step my son, the dog and I went for a brisk Walk/Jog. Yes I did both :) The dog wasn't sure what was going on and did not want to cooperate, not sure if I am going to take her next time totally slowed us down.

Tuesday is Total Body Sculpting, I hope I like it. I normally like anything that has weights in it. Maybe I will get up and do Total Body Sculpting or my fav Body Fusion before work, to Kick Start my Birthday. :)

Okay off to the Shower and bed for me, see you all in the AM. :)

I'm glad we found one another too, we've got a great group here!!

Since other people are posting their workout plans I thought I'd do the same, however, life happens so these arent written in stone...

MON...planned rest day

TUES...Michelle Dozios' Peak 10 Cardio Interval Burn + abs (probably the double ab premix from BodyMax2)

WED...CTX Upper Body

THURS...5k program on the treadmill, walking and jogging as my body permits + abs (probably abs from KCM's Muscle Definition, that's a good ab section!)

FRI...planned rest day

SAT...Jillian's Ripped in 30 Workout #4

SUN...25 min interval ride on the recumbent bike + abs

The following week will be a more typical work week so thinking about going back to Pure Strength or maybe doing Gym Styles for a few weeks...hmmm...

Deanna - good for you for doing Step and also going for a walk with your son and your dog. Fantastic job !!!

Stacy - thanks for the link to the pushup challenge. I just read it all and I'm going to do it. I'll start today since we are doing Total Body Sculpting. I'll just incorporate into our Beginner schedule and get 3 days of pushups in this week. I really really really need to do that and this challenge looks perfect for me.

Your workout for the week looks great !!!

Deanna - I never do the jumps in the step workouts. I don't want to go flying across the living room and get injured. So I modify to keep it super safe.

FnV - thanks for the pushup "push." I needed that. Been slacking on the pushups for the last week or so... lol

okay... I did well with food yesterday... a little short on water (only 30 oz), but... not only did I do Low Impact Step, but I went to the gym very late in the afternoon and did 3 miles on the treadmill.... lol

I shall lose 2 or 3 pounds this week. I'm going to do it !!! I'm tired of the scale not budging.

sooooo.. in the spirit of losing calories, I'm off to the gym to do a gentle walk on the treadmill for an hour before coming home and doing Total Body Sculpting. Or I may try one of the recumbent bikes.... or do the elliptical.... but some kind of moderate movement just to burn up some calories. Today is not cardio day, so it won't be intense..... I'm just going to move for an hour.

I did 2 sets of push ups yest.

Got mixed up and started Thurs workout today so will switch those two. So far a set of pushups done and back from GS plus abs randomly chosen from CW. Still have run this aft during dd TKD class and 2 body parts when i get home from work, will bbl to say h to all and report progress. I get a late start to work today

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING WORKOUT BUDDIES :):):):) YES, I MADE IT TO MY 45TH BIRTHDAY....GOD IS GOOD :):):)

Starting my 45 Birthday off with Total Body Sculpting from the Low Impact Step dvd. I enjoyed it, especially the push-ups on the ball much easier. Now I do not have to workout this evening, unless my son and I go for another Walk/Jog. Speaking of my son, he is on his way home from work and just called me all excited to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA." Yall know I have tear in my eyes. I have these tears in my eyes because I was diagnosed at the age of 42 with Hodgkin' Lymphomia in 2009. I went through 8 months of Chemo and 1 month of Radiation (which I shared with Susan previously). Duringt that time I did not know if I was going to make it or not, I could barely walk let alone Jump, Kick, Punch, Walk or Jog but look at me now! :) I AM FEELING STRONG WITH THE HELP OF CATHE AND MY WONDERFUL WORKOUT BUDDIES. :) This is why I am always thanking GOD and saying how good God is. :)

I just got my butt kicked by a sweet red-head named Amy Dixon in her Breathless Body workout! (I had said I was going to do Dozois' workout, but this was actually the workout I had in mind all along, just got the name mixed up!). It's a tabata cardio drill type workout that I have a love-hate relationship with! I hate it when I'm crying for mercy but I love it when I'm all done! I finished that with abs from BM2. That workout definitely kicked things up a much-needed notch!

Susan...thought you might like the pushup link. I may have to look into that again sometime soon.

FnV...let us know how your workouts go later!

Off to the grocery store with my wobbly post-workout legs! Planning on a salad with grilled chicken for lunch, had a bowl of shredded wheat with skim milk before my workout. Hubby wants Philly Cheese steak sandwiches for dinner tonight. I tend to go light on the beef and load up the peppers, onions and mushrooms, and usually skip the cheese and if I have to have a bun I only use half and make it open-faced, gotta shave the calories wherever I can but still enjoy life!

Deanna - don't you take any you-know-what from the bitter old ladies.... You are a strong, dedicated, hard working, responsible, intelligent woman. You show 'em !!! And .. please... do some little special thing for your birthday.

It certainly sounds like you and your son are getting along a whole lot better. That warms my heart. You raised him right and it will all work out well in the end.

midday report... so far so good....

I had a banana, a nice hot bowl of oatmeal and my usual coffee with ff 1/2 and 1/2 for breakfast. Then I went to the gym and did 3 moderate paced walking miles on the treadmill and then slipped in to the last 30 minutes of a dance aerobics class... lol

I just finished 1 cup of ff plain Greek yogurt with 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries, one piece of whole wheat toast with 1 tsp of my special butter. I love butter, but not the fat. Land O'Lakes makes a butter with olive oil Same # of calories as regular butter and it tastes like regular butter, but it has half the saturated fat.

However.. you will notice that I have eaten no veggies yet today...sigh. I must start eating more veggies......

I still have Total Body Sculpting to do later this afternoon. Deanna - I love the pushups on the stability ball. soooooo much easier than regular pushups.

I will start the Push Up Challenge today as part of my Total Body Sculpting workout.

I am also very grateful for this group! Deanna, thank you for sharing, I didn't have any idea you had been through that. All I have seen is your strength and commitment so knowing what you have been through and that you have so much gratitude and happiness just to be here is all the more inspiring.

Stacy, great site for push up challenge! Your workout sounds great! I like the HiiTs, but I am not familiar w/ that instructor. I do some bodyrock. Speaking of impact, did Cathe answer you?

Susan, how about making some weight watchers style veg soup to increase veggies? You can fix a big pot, load it with veggies and have with dinner or lunch? That is what I wanted to make when I heard Stacy say she was making soup, but it didn't happen so maybe next weekend~

I did a 4 mile run w/ intervals at the end, then some unscheduled walking lunges, squats and plie squats and static lunges. I will have to figure out how to catch up on my GS upper bod cuz I don't wanna do anymore sweating today.
 
Morning Ladies

I had such a wonderful Birthday. :) Everyone was so nice, a good friend from work brought me a Carmal Cake, and I went to Red Lobster for a late Lunch early dinner. I am scheduled to go to lunch with someone from work the rest of the week.

My feet are killing me from the hills I had on yeaterday, trying to look cute....LOL I noticed how sore/tender my poor feet were when I came home and took my shoes off. :( I got up this morning to make my coffee and exercise and realized my poor feet are still tender. I am going to push through the pain put my tennis shoes on and attempt Low Impact Step this morning and after work my son and I are planning on going for a Walk/Job.

Hey workout buddies, I just finished Low Impact Step and I am sweating profusely. :)

My son just came home from work and said he was going to the GYM to play basketball after he wakes up. He is also scheduled to go to work early tonight so we may not be able to go for our Walk/Jog. The sun is still up when I get home from work so maybe the dog and I will go, we will see.

Good morning everyone !!!

Deanna - I am so happy that you had a wonderful birthday !!!

Just a quick note this morning... I have a busy day out in the world today.. lol.

Food was good yesterday... that's 2 days in a row !! Woo Hoo... 5 more days to go to get to a full week of eating right. One day at a time.

As I said yesterday... did an hour on the treadmill and 30 mins of dance aerobics class at the gym. My intention was to do Total Body Sculpting in the afternoon, but.. as always.. if I don't do it in the morning, I get busy with other things and don't do it.

So .... since I did 1 1/2 hours of cardio yesterday, I'll swap and do the Total Body Sculpting today..... FIRST THING.... before I get distracted with friends and errands....

My legs/thighs and poor feet are talking to me this morning. I guess that means I am really working them, I know I worked my poor feet yesterday with those high hill boots on. It is suppose to rain in Vegas again today, I LOVE IT. I am not a fan of the heat!! I am really going to try and kick my workout up, the scale is not moving still at 179. I hate that darn scale! With the holiday season approaching, it is really going to be difficult to lose weight. All I can do is my best and try to have discipline.

Okay, I am turning in a request to have some time off work that are attached to upcoming Holidays which will give me a 4 day weekend.

Monday October 31st - My office will be closed on Friday October 28th and this wil give me a 4 day weekend. :)

Monday November 14th, office will be closed Friday November 11 for Veterars Day.
Monday November 28th, office will be closed the 24th & 25th for Thanksgiving.
Friday December 23rd, office will be closed Monday for Christmas.
Friday December 30th, Office will be closed Monday for New Years.

I am going to stay positive that my request will be approved. :)

Keep your fingers crossed for me workout buddies and say a prayer as well. :)

FnV - thanks for suggesting soup for increasing my veggies. I haven't made homemade soup in decades. I've pulled out several cookbooks and I'm looking through the soup recipes. I have a nice bag of organic green lentils that I was debating about doing something with... so lentil soup would be nice. I'll have to see what other ingredients I need.

I did Total Body Sculpting !!! I don't have the Beginner Rotation right here.... it's downstairs.. but I think we have abs and stretching tomorrow... so I'll head to the gym first thing to do some treadmill, then come home and do the abs and stretching.

Stacy - I think I'll try our double ab Body Max 2 workout... that should do the trick.... :)

off to the kitchen to find something healthy and low fat to eat. I'm doing good on the food today... right on target for calories and fat grams.... and.... for lunch I ate a whole baked acorn squash... I dressed it up a tiny little bit with a teaspoon of my olive oil butter and a sprinkle of brown sugar.. lol

It was good and very filling.

Ugh, today was one of those days (again) at work that it took everything in me not to just yell "I QUIT" and walk right outta there!!!!! My feet are killing me from being on them all day, I didnt get an official lunch hour in and I worked 11 hours, I shoved a banana down my face around 4pm :(

I had plans to do upper body tonight and I'm SO tired I just want to veg out, but this is how I got into my rut and downward spiral last time. I let work get to me and I stopped working out and started stress eating. It's hard to balance things though b/c here it is 7:30pm, I just got done eating dinner and I want to do nothing but yet I've got a workout planned for today. I know I'm whining but I'm just frustrated.

Deanna...good job on the workout despite your sore feet! I would definitely skip my workout if it were a lower body or cardio workout!

FnV...no, Cathe didnt answer me yet, she usually doesnt. I think I must ask tough/controversial questions (???) You should check out Amy Dixon's workout, it's a good one. My thighs and booty are feeling it today and it was only a cardio workout!

Susan...how did your workout go today? Good job on the healthy eating. My dinner wasnt the best but I only had 1/2 cup of yogurt and a banana up until that point. Tomorrow is weigh-in and with my late dinner tonight, no telling what the scale will read!

Ok...going to at least attempt my upper body workout. I know I dont have the energy for CTX Upper Body so I will pick an alternate, start it and see how it goes. If I'm truly fatigued I'm going to just call it a day.

I'll report back later tonight....
 
I did it, it wasnt pretty, but I did it! I chose Cathe's SuperSets, Upper Body Blast (basically double upper body) 59 minute premix.

I've got cardio planned in a mere 10 hours from now before I head to work in the morning. Wish me luck!
