Strength in Numbers

Our son and wife with our grandson came visiting today and tomorrow. We walked the beach and had a great time. Tomorrow will watch the Sea-hawks play together.

Friday morning I did Tabatacise again. That was the last day at work in NZ and it was just a half day, so after we finished I took a ferry to a little island off the coast. It was just beautiful and so much different than Auckland. It was a beautiful day and I walked around town and then had lunch in a little cafe before heading back over. Thursday night one of the guys in the class had us over to his house for dinner. It was so nice, we had dinner with his whole family (4 kids and a niece) and some neighbors of theirs. Friday night was the long flight(s) home- 12 1/2 hours to San Francisco and then 5 hours from there. Then it was a crazy weekend because Doug's niece got married on Saturday. All the kids were home for that and all of his family was in town. We had the wedding and reception Saturday and spent the night at the hotel where the reception was, then I came home and did my errands and laundry. I had to strip and remake the kids beds because my BIL had two friends coming to stay with us last night. They were all here for dinner and my DH, BIL and his friends and 4 of DHs other friends left this morning to go play golf in Pinehust for 3 days :rolleyes: I think I could sleep for about 3 days now!! This morning I did disc 31 chest and back. I took Julie's advice and am repeating meso 3 week 3 this week and will do week 4 next week. Have a great day ladies!

This weekend did not go as planned but I did get some workouts in. Friday night my mom ended up in the emergency room with extreme stomach pain. They determined it was her gall bladder and scheduled her for surgery Saturday morning. DH and I were supposed to do a charity walk that morning but had to drop out because of the surgery. I did do Afterburn Double Trouble premix before heading up to the hospital. I was able to keep up with everything but the spiderman climbers which is nothing new for me so I think my cardio is increasing slowly. DH and I spent most of the day at the hospital and then did some grocery shopping before coming home Saturday night. Sunday morning I did a Get Glutes inspired strength workout and then went to my mom’s to help her get home from the hospital. I did the dishes for her and washed her hair in the sink since she couldn’t take a shower until today.

Janie So glad you got to spend time with your family. Great job on your beach walk with them. Hope you all enjoyed seeing the Seahawks win. For me not being a football fan, it was actually a pretty exciting game the last few minutes of the 4th quarter. Great job on your walk with Rolly and bike ride!

Pam Great job on Tabatacise before heading home. Your weekend was jammed full of things to do. With the long flight and the full weekend, I bet you could sleep for 3 days. I feel that way just reading what you did. I was actually surprised that CLB didn’t destroy my legs and glutes like plyo legs had the week before. I was actually able to pass the toilet test with a solid A.

Fast walk on the beach with Rolly for 20 min. and walked 20 min. Tonight is a yoga. My eating is suburb. Healthy, right balance, and food to lower cholestrol. Rice, black beans, garlic, onions eggplant, quinoa, tomatoes stuffed in red peppers. My own version of vegetarian stuffed peppers. I tasted it and it is soooooooo good before they went inside the peppers. Roasted the eggplant, browned the onions and garlic in olive oil. then put the rest of the ingredients together, stuffed them in peppers and are in the oven until peppers are done cooking. On 300 degrees for about an hour and a half. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. We try to eat meat 3 times a week and the rest of the time vegan. We are trying anyways not to eat too much meat. LOL

Pam, Great job on Tabatacise. Sounds wonderful taking a ferry to a little island (?) off the coast and having lunch at a little cafe. How sweet is that? Also how nice to have dinner with one of the guys in class. Wow he had a full house! Ugh, 17 1/2 hours to get home. sigh You have been a very busy girl with also a wedding to attend on Sat. How fun though. And all the rest of the weekend having BIL friends. You are a Super Person! Great job on this mornings disc 31 chest and back.

Julie, Oh My! With your mom in the hospital and all that stuff you were still able to do Afterburn Double Trouble premix before you headed out for the hospital. Wow! Congrats for cardio increasing. That's always nice isn't it? Also great job on doing errands and Get Glutes inspired strength workout and helping your dear mom get home, doing her dishes and washed her hair. You are such a good daughter. I'm very proud of you. Really! Yes the Seahawk game was so intense! LOL Loved it!

JulieOh my goodness Julie, so sorry to hear about your mom. I'm glad that they got her taken care of so quickly and she is back home recovering. That must have been quite scary and upsetting for you. You are a great daughter taking care of her like that! Great job managing to get AB and a strength workout in on top of that!! Great job keeping up with AB too. I'd say your cardio capacity is definitely back if you were able to keep up with everything except the spiderman climbers!!

Janie Great job on your fast walk and yoga. Wow, congratulations on your healthy eating too! Good for you. That is awesome! I could never get my DH to eat vegan that often, but I feel accomplished because I have been getting him to do more chicken and fish :rolleyes:

Yesterday I was so tired I couldn't think straight. I worked at home because I wasn't feeling very good in the morning and about 4 o'clock I turned off my computer and laid down. I immediately fell asleep but I made myself get up after about 30 minutes so that I wouldn't be awake all night. I went to bed at 10:30 and slept straight through the night, so feeling pretty good today so far. I was feeling really weak when I first woke up though and really struggled through 40/20, but I made it and then did NE abs. Have a great Tuesday!

Did a 20 min. Jane workout, combination of leg work and cardio. Rainy day so no beach walk. Had white fish tonight, about 4 oz. with rice, garlic and onions and chicken broth. I added broccoli to the mix. LOL

Pam, Congrats for getting through 40/20 and NE abs when your body was at odds. You take care of yourself and listen to your body.

This morning for me was plyo legs disc 32. no half turn jumps, but it has the one legged squat thrusts. Then I added on the firewalker tabata from Crossfire just for fun :) Have a great day!

Happy Thursday ladies. Today is dragging by for me! This morning was supposed to be MMA Fusion, but I didn't want to do that one again so I did Rockout Knockout and the abs from Low Impact Circuit. I hope you are having a great day!

Oh boy! I haven’t posted since Monday. I had all intentions to post but darn work got in the way again. I did get a strength workout in on Tuesday, Wednesday I did a timesaver premix from Rockout Knockout, and last night I did plyo legs 29. So ready for the weekend. DH and I stayed up past my bedtime last night watching a baseball game and I am pooped out today.

Janie Great job on your beach walking! Love your vegan stuffed peppers. Sounds delicious. I have been trying to eat vegan about 80-90% of the time lately. I occasionally have cheese but not often. Aw your sweet for saying I am a good daughter. I feel it is just part of being a daughter. She took care of me when I needed her. Great job on your Jane workout (love it)!

Pam Great job with getting through 40/20 with being so tired. That one is exhausting in itself. It was pretty scary especially since it took the hospital about 6 hours to even tell her what was wrong. They just kept pumping her full of pain meds. Great job on plyo legs 32 and those 1-legged squat thrusts. Maybe I should have chosen that one last night instead of disc 29 since that had those evil ½ turn jumps in it. Great job on RK and LIC abs! I hope your day goes better today. Let’s hope for a quick Friday work day and a long lasting weekend!

Julie That pesky work does tend to get in the way of things, doesn't it?! Great job on your strength workout, RK and Plyo legs. I am always happy when I'm doing the plyo legs workout that doesn't have those 1/2 turn jumps. Of course I never remember which one it is, so it's always a nice surprise. Wow, 6 hours of not knowing what was wrong must have been really hard! I'm definitely hoping for a quick Friday!

This morning was disc 33 shoulders, biceps and triceps. The biceps are always a big struggle for me, but I made it through the concentration curls with 20 lbs, which was a first for me. I did have to assist on the last rep of the last set, but I will take it! Happy Friday, I'm hoping we see the sun today, we haven't all week!

I've read everyone's posts and you all seem to be doing well. Love you guys, can't wait where I can post correctly. Just know you all mean so much to me.

Been walking fast on the beach except for today. Took my time. Weather is gorgeous out side. Will soon be starting to paint again with acrylics and getting some color back into my life. I first have to finish my tangle I started. LOL But I'm getting stuff ready to do it.
Joe just made his bed and Hig-one-one is relaxing on it. Purely Joey's kitty. She's such a love bug and had to share her.

Today believe it or not have done my yoga and I'm off to walk in the woods with Rolly right now. It's beautiful weather. Maybe, if I feel the energy will do a weight workout tonight. Will post again to let you know.

The next time I post will try to reply, so I'm looking forward for someone to post LOL .

Just edited and that works. So far so good. Thinking I like this new set up.

Tonight was a walk with Rolly. Just a few times around the very long driveway we have here in Shelton. I have an appt. to talk to a dentist who specializes in gum grafting. I have a tooth which is on the dangerous side of loosing it. Not looking forward to the actual gum graft, because I hear it hurts. But it needs to be done.

The weekend flew by again! I am still hoping and praying that 3 day weekends come into style or become mandatory. Saturday I did X10 Low Impact, Cardio Blast, and Fat Burning Circuit. Only had to take a few breaks which I consider pretty good. Then it was major cleaning day at my house and then going to my mom’s for some light cleaning and bathing 3 dogs. Sunday I did a strength workout and then was pretty lazy except for laundry. Now it’s Monday and I am already wishing it was Friday again.
Pam Great job on disc 33! Wow 20 lbs for concentration curls is awesome! I am very impressed. Hopefully you had a nice sunny weekend. Not seeing the sun for days is such a drag. It’s kind of expected (at least around here) in the winter but the rest of the year should have the sun around most of the time.

Janie Great job on your walks! That’s great to switch it up and have a more leisurely walk to enjoy the scenery and feel of the beach. There you go getting all creative again. I can’t wait to see what paintings you have in mind. Love the picture of your kitty! The new forum is certainly a shift from what we are used to. So far, it doesn’t look like it works with the Cathe app on my phone which is a bummer. Oh no, that gum graft does not sound pleasant at all. I didn’t even know they did such a thing.

Julie I know what you mean about the weekend flying by. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and was thinking it was Saturday night. Then I got a little depressed when I realized it was Sunday. It would be nice to have 3 day weekend all the time, wouldn't it? Of course then we would be wishing for 4 days! Great job on X10 and clean max on Saturday and your strength workout on Sunday. We did have a gorgeous weekend which was wonderful.

The new emoticons are interesting, I can't tell what they are from the little pictures. Happy Monday!

Last night I did a strength workout. I also had a dentist appointment yesterday (just a cleaning/checkup). As I was lying in the chair getting my teeth cleaned, I noticed a spider hanging from the ceiling. It was descending down farther and farther. I finally had to stop the hygienist and point it out to her cause I was afraid it was going to land on her head.:eek:

Pam Great job on Steph Moves w/CB cardio only PLUS abs from ME! Wow you were having a crazy high energy weekend to do all that and throw in Intensity on Sunday too! Great job on AS plus cardio from X10! I have not played around much with this new forum. I did add the Tapatalk app to my phone but I am not sure I like it. I liked the Cathe app way better but I guess they do not support that anymore.

Janie What a cute picture! You too are adorable together. So made for each other! I would not call you a couple of old farts though. I wish I could help you out with the multi-reply but I never used that feature in the old forum and don’t know anything about this new one yet. Hopefully Pam can give you tips on how to use it. Hope the dentist went well and you got good news.
