Hi everyone. Today was cardio but my knees are bothering me some and the bottom of my left foot is a bit tight. I really need to start stretching, I think that is my problem. My calves are so tight along with my hamstrings and I'm sure that all pulls everything tight and is making my foot hurt. I walked 2.25 miles on my treadmill and then stretched for about 10 minutes. I feel much better. You would think I would learn my lesson about stretching, wouldn't you? It causes me all kinds of problems - always has. I need to be vigilant with this and really take the time to stretch out.

Belinda - Where will you and you DH be going?

Nora - Excellent workouts yesterday and your calorie burns are amazing!!! Nice job as per usual!!!!

Roxie - Looking forward to the rotation we will be doing together. I have the workout sheets done and will be emailing them to you soon.

Chris - Hope all is going well with you!! Hope your mom is improving.

Debbie- I totally can relate to the stretching thing. I know I should do it more and always feel better for it when I do but I always seem to put it off. Good for you to listen to your body and stretch. Great job on the walk today of 2.25 miles on the treadmill followed by 10 minutes of stretching. Bravo and WTG!!! Nora-She put me on an estrogen patch.
 
Today was Shoulders and Abs and I had a pretty good workout.

Shoulders
Arnold Press:
20's - 3 sets/8 reps
Upright Rows: 45# - 3 sets/8 reps
Dumbbell Front Raise: 8's - 3 sets/10 reps
Lateral Raise: 10's - 3 sets/10 reps
Barbell Shrugs: 50# - 3 sets/12 reps

I just did some ab exercises in between sets.

I also walked on my treadmill for 1 mile and then did a stretch.

Did the Estrogen Patch help to eleviate any sleep issues associated with menopause hot flashes, night sweats, or mental fog? I ask because I feel like I can't go on like this much longer. I don't want a load of prescriptions either. I have been drinking soy milk, eating more flax seed and nuts etc trying to help with diet. Looking forward to hearing your answer. For me the nightsweats, lack of sleep, and mental fog are the worst and lately some hair loss as well. Aside from all that I hope you are having a great Friday and feeling amazing. I bet your are having a great blessed day. Take care :);)

Belinda - I use Black Cohash - works awesome for hot flashes. I get them at Wal Mart in the supplement aisle. I had no hot flashes after taking them for about four days, it was amazing.

Not sure why I addressed this to Belinda, I meant Nora! Sorry!

Nora-I haven't really had any menopause symptoms so I don't know if they help or not and I stilled have a tender stomach my boss says it's nerve damage.

Nora, I saw your question about the patch and relieving meno symptoms. It's been a life saver for me. Sleep much better, mental fog and memory better too. I felt so awful, now I feel like I have 'me' back. Hope that helps, feel free to message me if you want.

I am going to see my doctor Monday because I can't go on like this lack of sleep and in a mental fog, along with my MS fatigue and the fatigue menopause brings. The hot flashes and night sweats I had before my surgery, now after it only crancked them up. The night sweats are bad I can't sleep. I get more sweaty than with a tough workout. I feel like I need help. Thank you again Lisa for your positibe input.;):)

Nora - I accidentally addressed Belinda, not sure why - sorry! I use Black Cohash for hot flashes and menopausal symptoms. It works great! I get mine at Wal Mart near the supplements.
 
Good morning ladies,

We are in Carthage Missouri (small town), we were greeted by the park owner with chocolate chip cookies. We did beat the blizzard in DC, only caught a little bit on Friday in Maryland and West Virginia, that sounds backwards but we live in the East panhandle and when we go north-west we hit WV a couple times. Once we got to Ohio it cleared up. It's freezing cold outside, Friday and yesterday it was in the 10' :( Here it is at freezing. We should be getting into Sweetwater TX today (70-yeah), looking forward to warmer weather. We did run into a lot of problems with the RV. Yesterday we got propane and the guy forgot to reset the system, which caused us a lot of headache, everything like the heater, hot water, refrigerator/freezer runs with propane. Nothing was working? It took us 1.5 hour to figure out what was wrong. We called Good Sams (Roadside assistance for the RV) they couldn't find anybody in Indian that knows about RV's, WTH? Indian is huge:( Somehow my husband (it was already 8pm) got a hold of some dude in California (RV mechanic/specialist) that talked my husband through resetting the system :) We have a full kitchen and bathroom in the RV, the water pipes and tank froze, that was a lot of fun. We also got into an accident yesterday. The entire left rear (10 feet) and the slide out on the RV is torn up, we can't open our slide out, still a lot of room. Motor is working fine, but like I said no slide out in the living room area isn't as big as I am used to :) I haven't worked out once, we just trying to get away from the cold. As you can see we are having a blast :) Hope you all staying warm. I will check in tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a workout in. Take care, everyone!!

This week will be a recovery week because next week I'm going to start that full body rotation again. I really like it and have great results with it so I'm going to start it over. Today I walked on my treadmill for 1.75 miles and did Yoga Stretch. That workout says it's 20 minutes but it's more like a half hour. I didn't have time to finish it but I feel good with what I did do of it.
