Getting it done for July 2014!

Good morning! Catching up . . .

Thursday after work, I went dorm room shopping with DS. He's not exactly a shopper, so it was more of a chore than fun. Afterwards, I did get in a 2 mile run and Plyox. Was completely exhausted after that.

Friday night decided to hang with the gals, so that made it a rest day.

Today is S&A, and maybe a run later, especially if the weather stays dry. It's wonderfully cool here today.

Belinda - Sounds like you had a lot of fun in DC. I would probably start to double up, because if you are in M3, the weights are getting quite hi. It will be so much easier to do circuit wo's. Do you have an extensive set of bands? We only have a few, and I'd like to add more because they are so easy to travel with.

Good morning,

I never got my workout in yesterday Went shopping with Alesia instead Always fun! This morning DH and I went for a 50 min walk with the dogs and I also did STS M2 D24. Tomorrow I will start M3. I hope I will get all the workouts in before we go on vacation.

Sherry - that must been fun shopping with DS! Your son sounds like mine. He hates shopping. Good job with your 2 mile run and Plyox. Now we are not leaving until the end of this month. I should be get all my workouts in? We shall see.

Hi all!

Yesterday we took DS to orientation for college. Can't believe it's getting so close. Lots of walking there, but other than that it was a rest day. Oh, and the eating was way off - too many carbs. :(

Today was a 2 mile run outside in new running shoes! :) Liked them - I wasn't fighting to keep the improved stride I've worked to adjust by running on the treadmill only in socks. Also, a dog walk, and finished with YogaMax (needed some Cathe!).

Belinda - Great job starting M3. How will you condense the program to fit in it before you leave? Sounds like you had fun with your kids.

I just finished M3 STS D37 (Squat Rack legs), I also walked the dogs this morning.

D37 Squat Rack legs:

Squats - 2 sets/12 reps/ 65#

Workout: 4 sets/8 reps

Squats - #100
Deadlfts - #65
Front Squats - #65
Static Lunge - #100 (2sets)#85(2sets)

Sherry - I know it's gonna be hard once your son is in collage. Will he be close?
I will do one disc every day until I leave next week. I know, I am nuts:eek:

Very hot here (well, 90*, which is hot for us), so leisurely dog walk then Great Glutes. The rotation called for Core Synergistics, but I needed some Cathe, and the exercises are good for running.

Belinda - WOW! Great weight! How do your arms do holding that much weight, or are you using a vest, too? Let's go with very dedicated. DS won't be too far away, but far enough that he'll appreciate the independence.

Good afternoon,

STS D27 is done! I been doing M2 D25,26 and 27 back to back isn't a good idea I am extremely tired today. Go figure! My original plan was to do the complete M3 in 2 weeks What was I thinking?:roll eyes: I will kill myself by the time we go on vacation in 2 weeks. My UB feels like it's gonna fall off I didn't wanted to lift the last set in D27 today I almost skipped it Glad I didn't. So my new plan is: I will finish Cathe's Bodybuilding Rotation and next week I will continue M3 W2 as written. I will take all my weights, tower and everything I need for STS M3 with me on our vacation. I may do PiYo legs instead of the squat rack legs? Haven't decided ? I do need to train smart and safe


I almost forgot, I walked the dogs this morning and I also did Cathe's Yoga Relax premix#1.

Wonderfully cool here (not trying to run it in) so dog walk, 2.5 mile easy run in the new shoes (really liking them), XTLegs Bonus Barre, and STS Ex Stretch.
Pleasantly relaxed right now.

Belinda - LOL on the UB exhaustion! Glad you DH understand the need to take all the stuff - that's not exactly packing light. ;) I think I would do Plyo Legs instead of squat rack - just a bit easier to travel with.

Gonna take it easy now. Hope you had a good one.

I will walk my dogs and maybe do some ab workout later? I am going to DC today, getting my hair done. We also going to a concert tonight.

Sherry - it rained here too. Glad you like your new running shoes. Which ones did you buy? DH had not problem me taking all my stuff on vacation. I didn't wanted to bring all that stuff:roll eyes: I think, that's what I will do for the squat rack legs, just do Plyo Legs? Unless, I can fit all the leg workout in before I leave?

Quick post - dog walk and KenpoX done.

Belinda - I bought Brooks Pure Cadence - a low drop, lightweight shoe that still provides stability. So far, really like them. Definitely do the Plyo - and be sure to take recovery breaks if you do compress.

Been super busy here...No workouts for S,M or Tues. Weds I did Wup from Super cuts then a TM run for 1.25miles and a Z Kettlebell workout from her disc series. Disc 2 WO #1.
Oof! Still feeling my hamstrings from this one!

Yesterday: Burn Sets for bi and tri. Then a Daily Hiit Transformer challenge Day 11.

Oh Boy! I am sore in my upper this morning! :)

Plan for today: XT Tabatacise Wup, Z online week 7/21 Monday's Kettlebell workout and then finish Tabatacise. Only doing one round per tabata group though.

Z's WO breakdown: Use 15-18#KB
• 40 Side-to-Side Kettlebell Swings
• 10 Warrior Rows (LEFT) (Bent over rows)
• 20 Reverse Squats
• 10 Warrior Rows (RIGHT) (Bent over rows)
• 20 Clams (this is a sit-up with kettlebell and bringing knees to chest)

Well that's my plan anyway..... ;)

Hi Sherry: Hmm I did not... went to work early and of course it turned into an all day hectic one.
Nice job on your walk, run and stretch! :)

I did however do my plan today:
Tabatacise Wup
Z Kettlebell online 7/21/14 used a 15#KB
Tabata #1 only once though:Totally out of breath....Sweating big time from first workout.
Moved into a TM run for 2 miles. Increasing speed every 5 min. This ifit WO changes the hills for you so I just did speed changes for it to make it different.

Hey Belinda!: How is your DC trip going? :) Enjoy!

We stayed in DC a few day's longer, we had a blast with the kids. Besides walking I didn't do anything. Today I will do a workout?

Heidi - ZWOW's are looking amazing. Fantastic job!

Sherry - you doing amazing with P90X. Keep it up!

Belinda: Sounds like a lovely time. :) What workout are you planning on?

I like the Z workouts but yesterday's got me good! One move which was reverse squats using the kettlebell is really not advisable. You get into low squat with the kettlebell held in front of you and you lift upwards with your legs to a half squat position while raising your arms up...this is a big strain on the back. YUP! Felt it for the rest of the day! OI! For the second set on that move I did drop the weight to 10#'s.

Sherry: What are your plans for today?

Today was a well needed stretch out. I did Yoga Relax and oh did it ever help with my back and tight legs and hamstrings. Feel so much better now! :)

Off to the rest of my Sunday. Not sure what I will be doing but it looks like it may be raining.

Happy Sunday!

Decided to take a rest day yesterday. Wanted to relax and get some things done.

Today I already did a dog walk and a 2.5 mile run - tried to get in in before the heat started, but not quite sure I accomplished that goal. Getting ready to start laundry, so I'll do some yoga while that's going. This finishes off the recovery week, so tomorrow it's back to weights.

Heidi - Sounds like you are getting back on track. Great wo's. Love how you mix and match. Are all your wo's digital? I'd be popping DVD's in an out.

Belinda - Glad you had fun in DC. Maybe an easy one today? You do like to do the heavy weights, so maybe a lighter circuit?

Looks like the RT'ers are having a blast. Would be great for all of us to go together one year.

Today I will start M3 W2 D? Today I am starting SBF 2 week Bootcamp, I will do Cardio Interval 2 = 20 min + Vintage Thin Thighs Fast = 10 min.

Besides walking a lot, I haven't done anything this weekend:(

Heidi - wow, you did 2 Zuska workouts in one day? You go, girl! Those are tough.

Sherry - I also ended up taking a rest day yesterday. I like heavy weights and circuit workouts.

Off to get more coffee, than get moving. BBL!
