40's March Maddies

Quick hello! Today did a Dana Pieper w/o, muscle something. More like muscle cardio! Only 40 minutes, worked up a sweat! Ronne, enjoy the wine! Lisa, hope you are feeling better! Roxie, hope that guy didn't come back! Hi Murphy & Jody! Have to get lunch, I'm late! Mary

no w/o today, I just feel blah. I did go find a new table/chairs for the breakfast nook (DS will get the old one). Got a call from my contracting company today, I'm being asked for by name for some position (didn't sound like it was same area I was in before, but who knows). Gave them my demands (same or more pay, work from home) and waiting to hear back the job details. Not sure how I feel about it, just rolling with the game of life. :)

Ronne, everytime someone says I doing a lot of w/o, I seem to take a slack day :) How can an editor not have one red pen in the whole house? I'd take it as a sign too!

Mary, wow, you got a lot of variety in w/o's!

Hope everyone else has a good weekend!

Good Evening,

No workout for me to report today I guess its a rest day.

Lisa-that company has some issues.

Mary-no he didn't now the bosses are at each others throats main reason husband and wives shouldn't work together.

Ronne-no red pens that is unbelievable.

Roxie, I'm all for someone telling me I'm hot but that sounded a little weird,
Lisa, can you put a pic of your reformer up? I really can't picture it. Maybe you have but I missed it. Also, new steam mop, I might get one- your brand, model?? Wow, that is too funny about the job.
Mary, I like how you do different w/o- you seem open to trying new things. Any thoughts on steam mop?
Ronne congrats on bargains and workout.
Gosh, March is almost over. I did AT this week with the intention of just getting thru it at whatever level I could. I started whining during the warm up but kept moving and made it to the end, or rather the point where I usually quit/speed thru anyway b/c I don't feel like doing excessive curls.
ps, funny Ronne that you ran out of red pens.
I did KCM Wts

Good morning! Today did another Dana w/o, (there are 4 on 1 disc) cardio quick fix, too quick for me! Jody, your back!!! No steam mop for me, hand and knees! Gets cleaner. Hope school/work is going well. Lisa, are you going to have to go thru the finger printing, etc all over again?! That would crack me up! Murphy, how are you? Roxie, don't overdo today! Ronne, how was the wine? We are supposed to get a snow storm tonight, is it April fools? Mary

Good Morning,

I did KCM's CB 2 and then Trim Down Boxing Premix man was that a tough workout I forgot that it was boxing and not kickboxing.

Jody-welcome back.

Mary-good job with your workout.

I did HR today. I'm getting to the point I think my muscles are responding...ie. DOMS in rhomboids last week, in triceps this week (exact areas nerves were damaged). I did nothing knew with triceps so that's interesting.

Mary, oh yea, it will be a real hoot to do fingerprinting again (she says sarcastically). The recruiter didn't think so, but he talks out his a-hole. This is an example of them cutting to make their first quarter numbers. I'm guessing I won't be cut for 2nd quarter because one of the girls are going to India for 6 weeks. I've only done hands and knees mopping once, the rest of the time with swiffer (I know bad). I have about 1000 sq ft of hardwood to do (foyer, dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, great room). We had a brief blip of snow Thurs night I think.

Roxie, I'll have to check out that w/o someday. As you noticed I did TLC after you did it :) It's nice to have each other to remind us what w/o's we haven't done recently :)

Jody,

This is the steam mop I bought, last I looked it was $99 on overstock, now it's up to $149, maybe it will come down again?
Stamina AeroPilates Box & Pole - Pilates and Yoga at Hayneedle

Here is a link to vid fitness forum talking about reformers, I found it interesting:Anyone do regular pilates reformer and/or wunda chair classes - Video Fitness Forum

Here is where I bought the reformer:
Stamina AeroPilates Pilates Reformer with Free-Form Cardio Rebounder - Pilates and Yoga at Hayneedle

The box and pole: I'm sure your dad could make you a box :)
Stamina AeroPilates Box & Pole - Pilates and Yoga at Hayneedle

This reformer has 4 black cords, seems to be enough. I bought a red cord that is basically 1.5 black cords and a yellow cord that is basically 1/2 a black (for my single arm work).

I wouldn't waste my money on any dvds. I haven't found any worth the money. I do have the jumpboards on order. So far pilatesanytime seems good (the only one I've really researched), there is a way to stretch your monthly subscription by pausing it and restarting. If anyone ever gets into this I can explain more and other sites as well.

Will create another thread for some pics I took on me on the reformer (hope any lurkers don't criticize my form too much!), I just wanted to show the little area I'm doing it in right now! It says it folds but it's too awkward to fold (plus then I wouldn't use it 2x a day to stretch).

stretching quad and psoas with bent knee (2nd pic), then adding hamstring with straight leg on floor. The stand for reformer is needed for this stretch.

showing the jumpboard portion (had to take suki for a ride :) ) Thanks to DH for taking the pics. I'm sure we could have gotten better pics and angles, but again, showign the little workout space I'm using it in right now (oh I soooooo want my workout room back!). Yes, it's in my bedroom and yes I have a messy bed! So don't look at the bed or mess Mary! lol See even one of my sewing machines are displaced from it's normal location! The things we do for our kids!

Lisa, that is your whole workout space? zoiks. Thanks for the mop link. I'm cleaning up my food this week.
Mary, my dd uses a steam mop at work daily, she is the one getting it for me, says its easy and quick and will lend itself to frequent use- I hope so.
Roxie I did KCM step boxing pm w/ dumb bell drills. I'm not a boxer for sure but I got a good workout in.
Ronne I hope you got some red pens and continue to feel better.
Murphy, are you getting workouts in? Hope all is well, I'm keeping you in thoughts.

No Game of Throners on this thread?

Took 1.5 mile walk yesterday, then 2.25 this morning, then did I think 30 min of jumpboard. My quads were sore from HR yesterday, then while jumpboarding I heard my glutes talking to me too :)

Jody, that is just the reformer space. I have probably a 8'x8' area in the basement for step/cardio/weights. Of course I have space in my great room/dining room, but that reformer can put you in some "interesting" positions that I don't want anyone else to see. One day the kids will be moved out and I'll have my huge area in the basement back (they haven't even broke ground on the house :( ) I bought the lift away steam mop to clean the shower (you know how big my master is), I feel I don't have to put the elbow grease into it either and that's good because after working out I just don't have much ore elbow grease left!

Good Afternoon,

I went for a 2.09 mile walk in winds gusting to 35mph and now my allergies are pissed but it felt good.

Lisa-I would love to have one of those.

Hello! Today did a pure barre w/o. Lisa, I don't think I would ever be able to walk again if I got on that machine! Impressive! We have a lot of hardwood floors also, I have a system tho, only takes me about 25 minutes to wash it. When will you start you new job? Jody, I have never seen that show. Is it the one that had the "red wedding?" Roxie, what are you up too? Murphy, how are you feeling? Ronne, what other fun did you get into? We got about 8 inches of snow, will melt by tomorrow when it's 60! Kids and I going to movies, Mr. Peabody. Looks cute. Have a good day! Mary
