40's March Maddies

Hi Everyone

Mary - snow?!! Hands and knees?! Can't think of a third thing to boggle over! Hope you enjoyed the film.

Roxie - well done for braving the winds! I'd have been tempted to stay indoors.

Lisa - great photos! Don't knock yourself, woman, you look good! I can see why that thing would really work you hard in a different way. I can't believe the contractors are asking you to work again (well, I can actually, based on past experience), what a ridiculous way to run a company. Well, I hope you get some money out of them and work conditions to suit.

Jody - good to see you. Go for the steam mop, you won't regret it. (I think you're more on the Lisa/me side of the cleaning equation, than Mary!) Congrats on getting the workouts in. How's college?

Had a really nice weekend. Took DD to a talk by one of her favourite authors on Sat afternoon (it was the Oxford Literary Festival last week). She got a book autographed, the author was really nice.
Then yesterday was Mother's Day here (I know it's a different month in the US). It was also the day the clocks changed so I was a bit dopey yesterday morning! DD bought me a letter opener and some candles (which she'd shopped for with her own money) so I was really pleased. Then we had a lovely day out in Stratford. We went for lunch, then had a tour round the theatre. We were the only three people on it, so it was great. We went backstage which they don't normally do - it felt like a private tour! Then we had a lovely walk by the river, the sun was shining and loads of people were out. And we finished off the day with a round of mini golf!
Did KCM Bootcamp 1 this morning. Found it pretty tough. Sticking to 30 min workouts this week as I'm really busy with work.

Good morning! Today did a Cindy Whitmarsh one, cardio/sculpt and abs. I don't think ill do the AB one again, who knew there were so many variations of planks? Ronne, sounds like you had the perfect day! What is your next trip? Lisa, any news when you start? Jody, how many more weeks of school? Roxie, hope your allergies are better. Murphy, how are you? Very cute movie yesterday, lots of grown up puns. Beautiful day here, I can smell spring! Hope a good day for all, Mary

I got my 3 jumping dvds, so I did 15 min yesterday (I started sweating and didn't want to take another shower so stopped :) ), I did 30 min today, another 50 min of reformer and 30 of stretching. DH and I went out for sushi then (was nice just the 2 of us). The jumping dvds are pretty good, not much variation you can do with jumping (it's fun to lay down and jump). They did use bands and weights for the hands, it's hard to coordinate arms to legs, and I didn't want UB work so just did the legs.

Mary, some of the things they do on the reformer I just look at it in amazement. I'm happy with what I can do, best of all I like the no shoes and laying down parts! We saw Gravity yesterday, it was ok, not great IMO. No word yet on start date/fingerprints/machine setup/userids----it will be a pain to set everything up again, wondering if they will do that to me again. If I expect nothing and get something they I'll be surprised :)

Ronne, sounds like you and DD have nice quality time together. You will treasure those times. Thanks for the compliment. I do feel I'm getting a little more flexible, best of all, I walk away just feeling good :) I sure hope I don't feel too rushed with working that I let any w/o's or walks slip!

Roxie, we have wind today, so I didn't walk the dogs, I did go get a furminator brush and bought them treats for letting me brush them. My son's dog hates being brushed, but even she let me and she looks so much better! IF DS and DIL would just brush her, talk to her nicely while brushing then give her a treat I'm sure she would be a much happier dog and they'd have less fur in the house!

Murphy, how are you doing?

Jody, I can't keep up with your schedule, will you be able to join us soon for daily checkins?

Hi all~ thanks for the welcomes.
I've got 4-5 weeks left. O.M.G. I can't wait. In anticipation, I keep singing AliceCooper to myself in the fiercest most maniacal voice.Alice Cooper - School's Out on Vimeo
Mary, good to know about the movie, I'm sure I will see it w/ kids. LOL, sometimes we watch kid stuff, sometimes Game of Thrones, pretty opposite (yes it was the Red Wedding tv show)
Lisa, you are gonna have fun with genuine grand kids.
Roxie- that wind out there is something out.
Ronne, lovely lovely day w/ family.
KCM today- Shape up. I hope to be here and checking in. I've had a few days off since I didn't participate in a 3 day review course. (I've taken it, $$ and time) hopefully I won't regret it. but I needed 3 days off more than 3 more days of classroom.

Good Evening,

Another windy day today gusting to 45mph and it sucked driving home not so much going up. I did KCM Total Body Kickbox 2 Sculpting (not my favorite) and 30 minutes on the TM.

Jody-I didn't get that KCM wishing now I would have, but I really like Trim Down.

Lisa-I hear you on the wind and Jody is right you will love grandkids.

Mary-I like some of Cindy's workouts but I haven't done that one.

Ronne-sounds like a wonderful time.

Hi ladies

Roxie - good workout. You're pounding that treadmill!

Jody - hang in there, you've nearly made it!! Are you going to celebrate?!

Lisa - love the idea of horizontal jumping!!

Mary - are you still working your way through your Collage haul? Still waiting for mine to arrive ...

Went out for early evening dinner yesterday with friend I haven't seen for a while. Had a really nice time, great to catch up with her.
Did LB premix from HR today, not too bad.
Work is going mad, everyone wants their project done really quickly and all on the same deadline. Aaarrghh!
Forgot to say, we also bought a painting on Sunday!! Been looking in galleries on and off for ages and never found anything we can agree on, but we finally saw something we both liked, so had to get it!! Here's a link: http://www.originalpaintings.com/images/Barry_Hilton/barry_hilton_pathway_home.jpg This isn't the actual painting but it's very similar.

Ronne that is beautiful, congrats on your choice. The path is sort of how I picture your home but not as rural.

Roxie, what do you like about Trim Down? I didn't get that one, but others like it. I'm not sure why I passed it up?

Ugh, I have remorse and regret today- starting with school/career all the way to car purchase and including food choices. Hopefully I won't regret my w/o- KCM Muscle Definition on tap.

Good Afternoon,

Quick post right now to answer Jody's question I haven't done all of Trim Down just the boxing premix but even without hand wts it really works your core and I felt it for 2 days. Have fun with MD that's a tough one.
