40's March Maddies

Good morning! School and work cancelled today, first we had rain all night, that froze, now the snow and wind have arrived, supposed to get 12 inches. I did a w/o on Booyah, a cardio and weights kind of thing, I liked it. Murphy, I do like CSS, I work out on carpet so no troubles here. I did see Collage going out of business, I ordered 7 videos! Weird, I just ordered from them last month. Ronne, I really like Rumble! Nice and simple! I hope you like it! Lisa, how was Kansas? Roxie, you off today? Jody, we miss you! Hanging out with the kids today, maybe a movie and some shoveling? Have a good day! Mary

I did KCM's Lift today after I got home from my yearly doctor visit choleserol still high and my wt has been the same since 2010 so she said I had hit my set point not happy about that. I ordered both of KCM's new workouts.

Mary-we got lucky and missed the freezing rain 50 here today.

Murphy-I think someone on videofitness said they got a Cathe for 8.00.

Ronne-good job with your workout.

I had to go back and scan the whole month to get an idea of what is going on here. I did it very quickly and my take away is that I want to get Chipotle tonight. Murphy good to see you. I looked at some vids on Collage and wanted some Patrick G. but they were sold out/gone so I'm put them on my mental wish list. Prob will never get them since my mental anything is iffy and the list will disappear. Spring break came and went, at least I'm closer to the end with school. I actually did a KCM yesterday, first w/o in at least a month I bet. Roxie did you preorder the kcms? I would like to as well. Oh I've looked at Booyah and the one Roxie suggested, both seem good. I hope I remember them in a few months. Ronne, voot for new workouts. I still want/need the latest cathe releases. Too bad about collage _ I bet I'm not the only one who ordered from the original catalog in 1987. Lisa and Mary, hi and hugs all around. It is nice to see yall.

Mary - Boo! Did you find something to watch? One of the reasons I ordered Rumble was because I know you like it!

Not feeling too good today. Coming down with a cold caught from my parents at the weekend. Damn! Still did MMA KB as it's pretty easy.
DD is also off school sick, so at least I don't need to take her to gymnastics tomorrow!
May not check in tomorrow. I'm taking the day off, going with a friend to a recording of a TV quiz show!
 
Hi ladies! I'm here! Spent yesterday with DS planning what furniture he wants to take from me and what all he needs, but i did do a reformer w/o of 60 min (and sweated!). And man, I was tired, road trips do not agree with me! I was hoping I wouldn't have to go back to move him in (a moving company does the moving, paid by the company), but he needs that woman's touch, ya know? Today did more reformer about 80 min. I did a plank! Feet up on the bar, hand on the shoulder rests. Ronne, I really think you would like this type of w/o, so much I can't do, either because I'm not flexible or puts my neck in jeopardy.

Jody, I didn't get any more KCMs, I'm putting the $ into reformer w/o's that I find online. Hope you can get back to w/o's and US soon!

Mary, we've been watching lots of movies lately. Yesterday was Catching Fire (I still like the book better), DH and I watched Ender's Game before we left for KS, i fell asleep :)

Roxie, I found an app that tells you your BMI, the interesting part was, that when I put in my age, the Ideal value for AGE goes up, I'd never seen that before. So if I take the weight I was comfortable maintaining at age 42, at age 50 the weight to be in the same BMI range for my age is 6 lbs heavier. Not sure if I'm rationalizing here :) I still have about 8 lbs to go to even get to that number!

Murphy, I have pads, but can't use the covers on the discs either (they come off), so I bought a carpet to put over (don't have room to move off to the carpet with my smaller w/o area with DS and DIL here), the carpet shifts during step though so that after a few sessions there's a bulge since I have it weighted down (it still moves :) )

Ronne, hope you feel better! I realized I'm tightening my neck area during my reformer (teacher mentioned it in one of the online classes so I guess it's normal), anyway, my jaws have been hurting and I think it is all tieing in , I need to relax more (not sure why I tighten up, but at least it seems like a normal thing since it was mentioned in my online class today). Seriously you need to try this out! This site has just regular Pilates mat w/o's too. There is some Fuse Dance w/o I want to try before my free trial runs out.
 
Hello! Today did BC from 4DS. I have a lot of paper work from school to do. Lisa, I don't do well on long car trips either. Maybe if we could make a lot of stops? You are really loving your reformer aren't you? Jody, our spring break is next week. Not much longer and you'll be done! How was your Chipoltle? Ronne, I got 3 Cindy Whitmarsh, 2 Dana Pieper, a Toby Massenburg, an an Ilaria. Kind of felt like a vulture, but I couldn't resist the bargains! Hope you feel better, mine only lasted 2-3 days, kind of a nice surprise. Roxie, how was work? Hi Murphy! Next week is surgery? Well, I better get to my paperwork! I'm procrastinating! Mary

Another busy day at work but man the weather was great so it was nice to be outside. GS gets tubes in his ears in the morning so I am hoping that goes well for the little guy. I did KCM's Body Training 1 Standing and my legs are fried glad tomarrow is upper body. I really need to figure out how to get more cardio in.

Lisa-glad you made it home traveling always wears me out.

Ronne-you are right about not going up but my cholesterol is 251 so I really need to work on that and she wants me to do a treadmill stress test.

Did glutes yesterday - OMG, WTH. Sometimes I think Cathe is mad at someone when she thinks of her programs. Some of the floor work was real hard for me. I know I have to work up to it but OMG... Was supposed to do AT today but got up late. Got some abs in so I could feel like I did something. I guess today will be my rest day.

I did 15 min of this Fuse Dance w/o....got me sweating, then 40 min reformer w/o. I have sore muscles from the reformer work last 2 days (quads and best of all rhomboids---I feel my shoulders are pulled back). During some w/o's on the reformer i"ve gotten cramps in my calves, never have had that before, I feel I'm working muscles that haven't been worked regularly :)

Mary, I think travel affected Suki, she didn't eat much on the trip and didn't seem to get good sleep either. I ate junk, but at least didn't gain weight :)

Roxie, good luck for DS, I'm sure the tubes will help.

Murphy, GG is tough and I have a dread factor with it (not as much as I do GS legs :) ) Good to see you getting back in the groove.

Ronne, how was the quiz show?

I didn't get up to workout this morning and this was my long day so I am hoping to get caught up tomarrow and also go for a walk its suppose to be nice wasn't bad today.

Lisa-GS's tube procedure took exactly 5 mins. 15 total. Good job with your workout.
 
Did AT today. I really like this one. This time I did not use any risers and was able to complete it. I learned from the past...I am still only using 6 pound weights for the most part, but I feel strong. The scale finally moved so I am on cloud 9!

Roxie - how is GS?
Lisa - feeling less sore?
Ronne - feeling better?
Mary - our spring break is not for another few weeks, middle of April
Jody - how do you like KCM? Someone said she is in NJ. I have never tried her stuff but maybe I will try to find her. Someone said she is in Cherry Hill - I used to live there. I wonder if she was there when I was. :-(

I needed something uplifting so did Imax2. Did a very LI version....not even getting on my toe as I'm trying to figure out what part of step makes my skull/neck hurt. Going to get my hair cut today, woot! Then I may color it (if I don't get lazy).

Murphy, good work on modifying for you! My quads are still sore today, amazing how that pilates reformer works differently on your muscles. I did overdo it a bit and had trap soreness last night( verging on the bad kind of soreness), all fine today, so that's good.

Roxie, glad it was quick for GS, he should start feeling a lot better!

I did KCM's Your Best Body Upper Body Only and Circuit Burn Cardio & Boxing now I feel like I need a stretch but I am doing laundry and need to run into town and get some groceries then clean my car out and go for a walk unless it starts raining.

Lisa-DD said GS was good today he just doesn't like the ear drops he has to sit still to long.

Good morning! Sorry to be missing, the kids have kept us running! Friday did RK, yesterday physique 57, today yoga. Roxie, glad to hear about GS, glad he did well. Lisa, how are you feeling dater imax2? Murphy, I LOVE GG! I will keep you extra in my prayers this week. Jody, hope school/work is treating you well. Ronne, I know you found some fun this weekend! Last night we went to a baseball fundraiser for the neighbors son, we won a chocolate fondue set with strawberries, pineapple, bananas, chips pretzels, marshmallows, cookies and 10 lbs of chocolate! I was so excited! Everyone come for a chocolate party! Mary
 
I did KCM YBB both w/o with cardio rests. My left arm seems as strong as the right now, normally I would be able to feel the weakness with The alternating pec flies. My lower right back is knotted up again, woke me up it hurt so bad. My massage isn't for 7 more days, boo, had DH try to work it out some. NO neck pain from Imax 2 yesterday, I'm slowly getting back to my new normal.

Murphy, can I borrow your scale? Mine appears stuck for some reason, surely it must be the scale, right?

Mary, you hit the mother load of chocolate, sounds great!

Roxie, good job on your w/o, I am loving the reformer to do stretching after w/o's.
 
Hi Ladies

Lisa - I would love to buy your machine, but I'd have get DD to leave home to create the space! (Perhaps an idea for a few years time :D) Well done on all the workouts.

Mary - chocolate fondue is DD's favourite dessert. We went to a nice restaurant several years ago where we had it - then we went back a while ago and they'd stopped doing it. She was gutted.

Roxie - glad GS is doing well. Will this help stop him getting ill so much?

Murphy - you're doing really well! Hope things go well for you this week.

Had a great time on Friday. It was really fun and we had front row seats.
I did TBT total body express premix on Sat but felt quite rough after. The cold has turned into a really bad cough so I haven't worked out since Sat. Not sure if I will tomorrow either. Work is really busy and I can't take any time off, and I think exercise is just making it worse.
Did manage to get to the cinema yesterday to see The Grand Budapest Hotel - great fun.

With all the talk about AB, I decided to do it today, wow, what sweat. then stretched on reformer, walked 2.75 miles, then stretched again. Lower back a bit better with DH pushing on the knot but it needs some serious attention, I may take my sisters massage appt on Wed (she is feeling better with the stretches the massage therapist gave her---see, she should have listened to me sooner!

Ronne, I don't really have the room for the reformer right now either but I know it's temporary (I HOPE), can't wait for DS and DIL house to get built.

Mary, the martini was more ice creamy than alcohol, but it was good. enjoy your green beer :) I have to get back on the weight loss wagon, I just hope it moves this time! lol

Good morning! Did one of my new ones that came from Collage, Dana Pieper, total body conditioning. I liked her, the workout was challenging, just kind of all over the place! First started out with the stability ball and cardio, then weights and cardio, then kickboxing, then the band and cardio, then abs! I thought it would never end! I liked it in pieces, just not all at once! Ronne, how are you feeling? Lisa, did your sister give you her appointment? Are you feeling ok? Jody, hello out there! Roxie, do you have all of KCM's DVDs? Murphy, I'm thinking of you, tomorrow is surgery? Keeping you in my thoughts! Did go out for corned beef sandwiches, no green beer, just regular!
