What's your favorite step workout?

I love Step Blast and tend to pull it out more often than not. I also like the step routines from Cardio&Weights and Step Jam but I feel like it is time to branch out and have more variety. What are your favorites and why? What should I try next?

If you like more choreographically challenging step routines:
Step Moves
Party Rockin' Step #1
Step Sync (and Bonus Intermediate Step on the same DVD from Step Boss series)

If you like more athletic-focused (less intricate choreography):
Low Max
Imax 2
Imax 4
Party Rockin' Step #2
Higher Intensity Step (from 4-Day Split)
Lower Intensity Step (from 4-Day Split)
Body Max 2 (this has weights, too, but it's after a thorough cardio-only segment)

If you don't mind step mixed with weights (or are good with reaching for a premix that will exclude the weights):
Low Impact Circuit
Cardio & Weights
Drill Max (this has floor cardio, too)

Note - there's LOTS more step workouts out there, but I listed these as personal favorites - I enjoy the music and intensity levels in these.

If you want an all step experience, consider getting the Step Boss set, or, at the very least Step Sync and Imax 4 from Step Boss.

My favourite have been listed above by kellyro77.

I also like :
  • IMAX3, it is quite brutal.
  • Low impact challenge
  • Step segment from INTENSITY this one has teethes!:D

Overall, for me, it’s Cardio &Weights. Just the right combination of fun factor and complexity.

Production-wise, it’s IMAX 2. Great music that makes you want move and “jump higher”

I’ll confess, though, this morning it was Karen Voight’s Energy Sprint. My feet are not as fast as they used to be. I enjoyed it

I did the Cardio and Weights step premix this morning. It’s my all time favorite because I’m able to hop, skip, jump, turn and dance to my heart’s content while working out to fun music. It’s really more fun than work out.

I actually used to love the imax step workouts but I lose too much weight from that kind of workout these days so I’m a premix gal.

Totally in love with everything Step Sync has to offer.

I even love Basic Step. I add height and jump it. I love anything I can jump.

Step Jam too!

Same here....I love step, i can not do more than 1/2 an hour. stepping for more than 30 minutes is counterproductive to my actual goal. Step helped me to loose weight and fat. I burnt a lot!:)

All Cathe step workouts work for me. on a desert island, I’d want all IMAX, Step Sync, and Low Impact Circuit Premix for step. I love that last one, and I do the bonus too.

This wasn’t my first Cathe step workout but I did and still do love this one. I originally had the VHS and upgraded to the DVD.

It’s interesting that you also only do 30 minutes of step and for more or less the same reason.
I still love all body max

"calm before the storm" "you wil love to hate the word accelerate" Cathe said during IMAX 3 #7☺️.
I wonder how I survive interval #7.
When it is fun, mind is off burn focus FUN FUN FUN. plyo is fun. #shape those legs and BONES while flying

Party Rockin Step 1 & 2 - Just plain fun & good music. I would do them every single day if I didn't know variety is important.

Step Blast, Rhythmic Step, Body Max 2 Step, 4DS Hi and Low Step, Cardio Fusion - also just plain fun. Fun moves, fun music. Goes by very fast.

IMAX 3 & The Terminator 3 workouts, Imax 2 - not so much fun as I just feel accomplished when done. This was Cathe's first step video I did, so also a bit of nostalgia for me. And it has the song "Tainted Love"!

Step Sync - easy and perfect for my "lazy" days. Fun moves.

Cardio Hits & Classics Volume 1 (6 step workouts total) - Nostalgic, steady state, full hour step. And gives a good laugh at the outfits (lace thongs).

Cardio Party and Cardio Slam - I just find them fun and great for easier days.

Step is my absolute favorite type of workout! I wish she would do more. There are also several LIVEs of step workouts that are really good.

Rhythmic step is my all-time favorite step workout--challenging, great choreography, and really fun. I Also love Step Sync and IMax 3.

I have to say that especially for the sequencing I'd have to say Rhythmic Step. I have on Demand so I have put together a number of step workouts, including ones that are just finished combos. Rhythmic Step used as part of that is great.

I love step too. I bet you can naturally rock those moves:D;).

I love Party Rocking too. Both of them. Your post has just reminded me how adamant I was to master the choreography. It is pure FUN.

I believe that was the last time Cedie joined the crew. I miss her. I think there more step coming from Cathe ;) :):). Here is a filming sneak preview.

What a blast from the past! I can't believe how long ago PRS was. Thanks for posting this. You mentioned there may be more step coming from Cathe....do you have some secret info to share? I am not on any social media, so only get my updates from here and the emails.

No I do not have any secret but I think Cathe enjoy and love her job.
The creative side of her job which consist of designing step choreography.
Fact: she felt into teaching step after taking a class.
