What do you do wen u feel your about to explode???

Do you ever have one of those days that just starts all wrong? Puts you in a mood so foul, that everything just pisses you off and you feel like you're just gonna EXPLODE!!! x( . Well i'm having one of those days right now. Everything just seems to be going all wrong!
I guess I'm just curious to know what different techniques you all try to relax and get over your anger? It's different for everybody. For me it's kickboxing and yoga. What helps you?
 
Yep, I had one of those days last Friday. Where everything I touched just turned to crap. The good news was I had a pedicure scheduled for that night. The even better news was I got a mini-massage & my hair trimmed b/c the other girls weren't busy. So by the time I got home I felt pretty & much more relaxed.

So my short answer is: pamper myself! :)
 
I work out, meditate, and try to remember that this too shall pass. :)

I had one of those days last week and a relaxing hot bath and a cat nap put me into perspective.
 
While I am totally in favor of all the relaxing methods and some agressive ones like kickboxing....

sometimes I need to just go into the bathroom, take a hot shower, SCREAM at the top of my lungs, have a good cry, and then all is well.:+
 
I used to eat ALOT! Eating always made me feel better :). It also made me FAT!

Now, I go ride me bike really hard! If things area really bad, there's a secluded bench in a park I pass while Im riding, I stop and pray about it.

I still might have a Martini when I get back ;-)
 
LOL! Yea i know exactly what you mean. I occasionally have to do that as well. But since i live in a neighborhood where my neighbors would call the police If they heard me yelling, I can't always do the yelling thing. but having a good cry every now and then, definitely helps. That's what i did earlier. :)
I just came from the gym and i feel sooo much better now. I did a vigorous workout and i feel great! I worked my chest, biceps, triceps, upper back n hamstrings. I just had so much pent up energy that i had to release. I felt like i could go on and on and on. Lol!
Nonetheless, i feel like a million bucks right now! I wanna thank all you guys for your input. But please, keep them coming! ;)

I grab DH by the scruff, haul us both home, lock the doors and hide.

Nothing calms me down (aside from working out) like some quiet time with my husband.

Can anybody offer any Words of Encouragement?

A-Jock, i wish it was that easy for me. ;) DH has just been gettn on my nerves lately!!

Right now, i'm having another one of those days. I don't feel like i'm gonna explode really, i'm just feeling down in the dumps. I don't know If it's becuz "Aunt Flo" is in town or what. I just know i haven't been feeling like myself lately. I need some words of encouragement. Can anybody offer any?
 
Exercise!!!!! Any kind of exercise that doesn't require too much thinking so weights or non choreographed cardio like running or something.

I also find that taking a nap will help to calm me down...so long as I'm not so worked up that I can't fall asleep. Like today, for example, I was in a FOUL mood. I was not MAD at anyone but just uber cranky so I laid down and took a 20 min snooze. When I woke up I felt better. DH came into the room and I felt even better! }( ;) Then I finally got my work out in and my day was perfect! No more bad mood!:+

Actually, scratch that...it's probably not a good idea to take advice from a pregnant woman (at least not this one) on how to control emotions.

I had an "explosion" day a couple weeks ago where EVERY little thing made me want to flip out. I was about to completely go off on the next person who crossed me. So...I went to one person who has been relatively forgiving of my emotions--my hubby. Through massive tears, I let him know EVERYTHING that I was upset about (luckily none involved him). I felt like a new person after getting rid of all those tears. :)
