Tonite is ME upper body and abs if I am feeling better stomache still upset.

Amelia-she said if your goal is to lose wt then you need to do cardio first that is what burns the fat.

mmmm,thats confusing? I thought the whole idea of weight training was to boost your metabolism to therefore burn cals/fat? Plus the added benifits of muscle?

To me all of this stuff is confusing more cardio more weights who knows. I think the theory is cardio burns fat if you do wts first you are to tired to really get your hr up to burn cals.

On another note I think it really matters on body type and how you feel.
If you perfer cardio 1st then do it. Do what works for you and keeps you going.:D
 
Oh....i see what you mean Roxie, i am kinda beat after a tough weight segment, then the very idea of doing a cardio coach or cathe step is exhausting.:confused:

Im glad i decided to start doing rotations! so far, im not feeling that exhausted feeling.

Workout done...stretchmax was fun! My first time doing segment two...i may have to purchase this one;)

Yesturday I Bootcamped and the "PUKE" Factor was there. Do I like feeling that? NO WAY!! I feel like Im going to vomit!:confused::confused::confused:LOL. (Hey isn't that the point? Andrea? ););)

To join in the discussion re cardio first or weights. The jury is still well and truly out on that one. Some say, do weights first, others say do cardio first. ALL say, mix it up. Trick your body. Body Builders, generally do a quick cardio session to "warm up" Quick is just that, 15 - 30 mins, followed by their weights. Fitness competetors, some ladies do cardio 2-3 times per week (on off weight training days ) Others do cardio daily with their workouts. Some train between 1 1/2- 3 hours per day. It depends on what is going to work for your body. I'll ask on my body building site and see what is recommended there. Most of the girls on that site are in their 40's.

Today is MIS Back,shoulders,biceps then abbs. My hiney is still sore from tuesdays legs, the workout rocks. I forgot i had it:eek:

Roxie-Im sorry your not feeling well:( Hopefully todays rest day will help. Hey,did you catch so you think you can dance last night? I still can't believe Gennett was eliminated last week:( she was my favorite! Brandon is my favorite guy dancer,but there is something about him that gets on my nerves?:eek: Melissa/Kayla are my next two in line for the women...there all such wonderful dancers. New season starts in Sept.:eek::eek:

Andrea-I will be curious to see what your fitness forum women say. Great job on your bootcamp puke factor yesterday;)

Tonite I am suppose to do 4ds HIS step only and SM segment 1, but I have decided to do Imax 3 step only no blasts and SM. Still not quite feeling up to par.

Amelia-brandon says he has self esteem issues when it comes to dancing I think he is a little on the arrogant side. I believe Kayla is going to win. I really didn't like their disco dance last nite but the judges loved it and I think that Brandon and Kayla are theyre favorites and they are trying to influence America, but I think america loves Evan.
 
andrea: what body building site do you go to?

This morning I was pressed for time. I did KPC premix for 41 min. no abs.

I went to check out a kennel for our dog. We want to go to Block Island RI for the night and need a place for her to go and be taken care of while we are gone. It had a lot of dogs there. she was shaking in her boots(paws). The poor thing.

Okay, gotta go.

Workout done as planned, I also added on a 30minute powerwalk. It was a nice workout. Burned 430 cals in 65mins.

Roxie- I completly agree with you about brandon. I too didn't really see the big deal in last nights disco routine? I too think america loves Evan...he is a cutie:p. Im anxious to see who gets voted off tonight. I think it will be the dark headed girl(can't remember here name) and sadly,Evan. Will See

Elaine-have a safe trip and im sorry you doggie was shaking.

Another awesome bootcamp yesturday, heaps and heaps of running - sprinting. My quads are sore To Day!

Heres the reply to the cardio vs weights first. FOR FAT WEIGHT LOSS!

I asked which way around was it best to do for weight loss. (Thats the only thing us gals here are interested in right?

Answer : Cardio after weights. That your body burns off the glycogen (that is the carbohydrates stored in body), which is what we want to do.
So Gals, lets get to it and do it!

Im dealing with no water...agian. I knew it was only a matter of time before this happened so this time i was prepared. I have about 12 gallons of water set aside;) We are SOOOO out of here come next march! Guess i will have to take a 'sponge bath' after my workout today:rolleyes: Do what you have to do, right?:)

Anyways, today is a 60min cardio. Im thinking about doing a CC. Isn't CCV6 60mins? If not, I will make up the time with HIIT until i hit that 60min mark.

I forgot to say that my eating has been great this past week! Im real proud of myself. The hardest part for me is at night right before bed time. A couple of nights this week i went to bed a little bit hungry:( I don't eat after 8pm and i don't go to bed until about 11ish so i guess thats why im hungry? I just drink some water or crystal light.

Good Morning,

Tonite is Body Fusion suppose to do Bootcamp but those scare me. I ended up babysitting last nite so I didn't get a workout in and that is now 2 days in a row it has to stop. I am seriously going to have to change my workout routine and do it in the mornings because babysitting could happen more often and I won't know exactly when he is coming until the last minute.

Amelia-what did you think of the results of last nites show? I had to watch it this morning. Sucks about the water.

Andrea-how is the bootcamp classes working for you any results yet?
 
Hi ladies. Just a quick hello from New Jersey. This morning was spin class at Cathe's gym. The real festivities don't start until this afternoon, but several of us wanted to go to the gym and work out this morning. I haven't had time to read you posts, so I hope everyone is doing well this week and I will have to catch up later.

Hi all.

Today, I will try to get weights in and follow up with some cardio. My eating this week has been disgraceful. last night I was sooo hungry, couldn't fill my tummy and I had to eat before dinner due to starvation. So I ate, everything and anything! :mad::mad::mad:

Elaine - I thought Jean was Gayle too. LOL I'm thinking, whats gayle doin'? How nice of her to pop in and say hi. Hope Jean has a blast of a time. She does the road trips every year. Lucky duck.

I chose body fusion tonite thinking it would be easy forgot how tiring this one was and I didn't do all the abs but I have to do abs tomarrow.

Roxie-I didn't like the results from SYTYCD. Ade was an awesome dancer, i thought Evan was going home. Then Mellisa over Jeannen(the dark haired girl,don't like her that much) I knew Kayla/Brandon would make it through. Great job on BF yesterday, i almost bought that workout couple of days ago,but got outbid. I don't know why its so expensive everywhere?

Andrea-How did your weight work go yesterday?

Today the rotation calls for legs so since ive already done MIS legs this week, I thought i would mix it up with PLB.
DH and I met some friends @ a ATL Braves game last night. We had some drinks and my eating wasn't good,but it was my cheat meal day so im not going to feel bad about it;).
