I hope everyone refrained from Easter candy better than I did! Today's plan is a 30 min run/walk after work, some chest work and core work.

Diane, I didn't do so well with the candy yesterday...and some of it wasn't easter stuff! LOL:eek:

I am hoping I made up for it b/c I just did a 8 mile run on a empty belly and I am not starving! But I am going to do GS legs before I stop for the day, if I don't do it now...I never will.

Yesterday was 7.5 miles, and I was wiped the rest of the day. Felt like I couldn't recover. Legs were shaky and everything. Pretty weird. I think today I'm going to keep it light, maybe three miles on the treadmill and some yoga. I didn't get my AM cardio in today because I overslept. :(

For those of you who are having Easter candy guilt, isn't that stuff calorie free as long as you eat it on Easter? ;-)
 
I won't run today. I did 60 minutes on the elliptical this a.m. and I am off to do Muscle Max. 19 Days to Marathon day!!!

I am so happy to hear that Easter candy is calorie free as long as you eat it on Easter! Whew...what a HUGE relief!!!
 
Good morning,

I had a pretty bad longish run on Saturday. I had intended to do 10 but made it only to about seven, with periods of walking interspersed in the run. I couldn't get my breathing to regulate and felt like I was really huffing and wheezing... not fun! So I'd run a few minutes and walk a few minutes, and finally went home. Then I had a migraine the rest of the day. Ugh.

On a brighter note, I had a pretty nice run on the treadmill this morning. I did about four and a half miles without any major breathing problems. I think I must have just had a bad day on Saturday, and now things are looking up. I now have just one more long training run this weekend, an 8k on April 29, then the half-marathon! I'm getting kind of nervous!

Does the no calorie rule apply to cake and ice cream too? ;)

Ellen, not every run is a winner (I’ve learned that!)….I’m glad today was better. Yeah, I hear ya….my marathon is 13 days away and I’m starting to get jittery. I have this “fear” of tapering, like I’m going to lose any endurance I’ve built up. Unreasonable I know, because last time I was fine on race day.

I woke up late this morning so I’m going to run on my treadmill this evening for 90 minutes using Cardio Coach Volumes 6 & 1. Do any of you have these and like them too?

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a great Easter! :)

Yesterday I ran 11 miles with my mom who is just totally awesome and then played kickball with my family for over an hour. I slept SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good last night! ;) Today I am going to do the step part of SJP and do some yoga since I feel so tight. I felt my hammies start to tighten up after about 8 miles and even though I stretched them out pretty good I still feel like I need something more intense.

Carole, I think it is so funny that you say "only four miles". Three months ago I would have though "ONLY FOUR???? IS SHE CRAZY?" but now that I have been training, four really does feel like nothing, doesn't it? :D

Saturday's workout: ran 4miles and did 15mins on the ET
yesterday: rest
today's workout: ran 3miles and half of SS FIRM it up. will finish it up tomorrow!

GLAD to hear that easter candy is OK on sunday!! haha LOL!! didn't have that much anyway!

ya'll are doing great!
