I love Rhythmic Step. I never do the other 2 workouts. MIC is dated, and I never did the step portion anyway. It inlcudes several moves I dislike and the music is not terribly motivating. I think, that if you have Step Blast, a superior Cathe step workout, you do not need MIC and would be wasting your $ buying it, especially in light of all the great new stuff Cathe is doing now. I don't do IMAX much either. Most of the blasts are done on the floor and I find that there's a disjunction between having this be a step workout and yet the intervals mostly do not use the step. That doesn't work for me. Imax 2, on the other hand, is a superlative interval workout and is such an improvement upon the formula. It incorporates the step into the blasts, the music is terriffic, the whole workout rocks and is not so painful to do as the original Imax. Less dread factor.
I do love RS though and I bought the DVD for this workout alone. I wish it had not been included with the other 2 workouts, but, sigh....what can you do?
In your place, however, given that Cathe has just released the Drill Max series and has the 4 day split coming out in Sep, and she has plans for 2 more filming events in 2008, I'd be tempted to save my cash for all of these and give RS a miss. (Unless you can get you can get this workout DVD cheap on ebay.....).
