KK's December Check-In

Guess it's not all that easy to post a new thread -- I haven't done it for a while and so my first try just didn't make it. I'll try again.

Today was CTX Power Circuits for me today -- need shorter workouts.

I have posted personal messages to you all, Jeanette, Rhea and Janie, but please forgive me for not repeating it. I need to see if this even posts.

Have a super day everyone!
:D

Good Mornin,

KK, Sometimes it is difficult for me as well to start off a thread. I wonder why? I love the power circuits, but I have to be careful what I pick out, cause Joey does not like any choreography, he thinks he dosen't do well with that.

Rhea, hope the car situation is over.

Jeanette, any biking or golfing lately?

Joey and I are going to be doing The Firm Vol. 1, with Susan Harris today. We are finely getting stronger. Then tonight I'll be doing a cardio from one of Cathe's classic.

Have great workouts everyone,

Janie

Good Evening!

Today was 10-10-10. I was going to do a short workout tonight and then do some abs, but I came home with a stomach ache and am nursing that right now. Sometimes eggs give me horrible stomach aches. Wish they didn't, cause I really do love eggs.

Janie, I think you're wish to pick workouts that don't have much choreography in them. It seems to me that guys in general back off from that sort of thing. Don't forget Intensity series Bootcamp that has some fellows in it -- Circuit Max, too.

Hi Jeanette! Hi Rhea! Hope all is going well with you both.

Well, I'm off to do some more nursing on this stomach ache. Goodness!

Have a super day tomorrow, everyone!

Hi Karen!
Glad you posted here for December. I didn't work out this morning as it's my rest day. I have come down with a sore throat. DH was sick so I guess I got it from him. We did golf yesterday, it was beautiful here (in the 50's I think). There were 4 of us golfing, plus my DH who just drove along. Very fun game, 18 holes this time. Glad you got CTX in, I know how it is to feel crunched in the morning. Wish I had more leisure time in the morning to work out. Oh well, if I ever get to retire. Hope you get the course done quickly. Are you doing much writing lately? How's the hand feeling? We had a really nice Thanksgiving, looking forward to cutting Christmas trees this weekend. Weather supposed to be dry for that too.

Hi to Rhea and Janie, I'll write more tomorrow if I get a workout in. We'll see how I wake up.

Hi all, the above was posted on Karen's other thread last night.

I stayed home from work today as I woke up with a sore throat. Didn't do a whole lot.

Karen, sorry about the stomach ache. I sure hate those. I had that a couple days ago, right before this cold hit. Woke up and it was gone.

Janie, so nice to hear the workouts you are doing. Bet that just keeps your spirits raised. Nice to have a workout partner too. Did you finish the duck painting?

Good night,

Good morning!

Been busy at work, so not much posting. Finally jumped back in on the workout bandwagon. Did A one-on-one trainer with Tony Horton on Monday. It was an all over body workout with the tubing. Ouch. Yesterday I did Dance Fit with Christi Taylor. I'm a little stiff today. But I'm not surprised since everything always tightens up when I start back up again. Not sure what I'll squeeze in today, but something like Cardio Intervals or Core Cardio. I'll just have to see when I get home.

Karen - hope that stomach ache is all better.

Jeanette - my DH got something like a head cold too....started with a stomach ache though.

Janie - Good work on keeping up with those workouts. I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things.

Well, I had better get back to work. Talk to you later.

Good Evening!

Today was CTX Intervals -- boy, I sure do need these short workouts right now -- mornings are really crunched. I'm heading into the last of the course here. I should have it finished by the end of the year. I am so anxious to get home. My schedule is such that I'm not writing right now. It's all I can do to get up at 6AM each day -- take Georgie out for his time outside, get dressed, make breakfast, exercise and head out the door for course at 9:30. Whew! And my one day off -- Sunday -- is filled with housework and laundry and other chores. Sigh...

And evenings are just as busy as I have to fit into a few hours what I used to do in 8.

But at least I'm almost done and so I'm willing to put in the time. Yea!

Jeanette, golf sounds so relaxing and fun. And Christmas tree hunting will be fun. Of course it makes me homesick. Am hoping that Paul will get out here for Christmas, but if not, I'm not going to be unhappy, as it looks like I'll be home soon.:D

The hand is healing still -- sometimes it wakes me up at night when it goes to sleep, but every so slowly (much too slowly for me), it's getting better. Thanks for asking.

The stomach ache is better, also, but I'm taking it easy on eggs for right now.

How's your DH now? And your sore throat -- is it better?

Rhea, am so glad to see that you're back on the exercise bandwagon -- and I so love Dance Fit -- you just reminded me that I do have that workout -- it's just a little long for me right now. How's work right now? Busy, busy? Or with the holidays around the corner, have things slowed up a bit?

Janie, hope all is well with you and Joey. And how is the painting coming along?

Well, must get a bunch of stuff done and get to bed as quickly as I can (So I can get up at 6 and start all over again).

Have a super evening!:D

Hi all,
Again stayed home from work today, but will go in tomorrow. I didn't want to do anything with lots of intensity so I did step from Christi Taylor's Stepsational and then Totally Cool Step. Both are fun. I did about 40 minutes of step.

Karen, glad the stomach is feeling better. There was an article in our paper by someone complaining of chemtrails in the sky above our area. I thought of you. I should google chemtrails to see what they are. So glad you are on the home stretch of your course. That will be such a relief when you are all done with it.

Rhea, I need to order Dance Fit. Think I'll do that right now :D. I so love all of the Christi's that I own. They are my go to workouts when I don't feel like anything else.

Janie, hope you are fine.

Good Evening,

There are problems that are occurring (bacteria in my wound) and I need to deal with this. It was hard to get the care I needed for my wound to heal. To make a long story short, my PS is not communicating for some reason with the wound care specialists, and therefore my wound care is being compromised. I need some prayers, good vibes, anything you got I'll take, please. I just don't want to have you listen to more of my saga. I think it's already too much to keep hearing about. My regular doctor is intervening (YEAH!) and if my PS dosen't return their calls by Friday, she will give me the antibiotics I need to heal.

Didn't do well eating or exercising today, but will get right back on it tomorrow.

Looks like everyone is doing well.

Janie

Hi there everyone! I'm in Reno again at a Emloyee Liability class for my Human Resources certificate. It is rather dullusih, but I'll manage to stay awake somehow. I might have to surf the web, but that might be a bit obvious with my Blackberry in front of my face.

So there will be no workout for me today or tomorrow. Well, maybe tomorrow if I have any energy when I get home.

Janie - I hope that everything gets straightened out. Too bad the PS doesn't communicate better. Well wishes to you. Oh, and it is never too much info!

Okay, back to my book (at lunch right now). Havew a gr8 day everyone.

Good Evening!

Janie, I wanted to post this right away. You can go to a health food store and get GSE -- Grapefruit Seed Extract -- it is a natural antibiotic and it is very strong. Also, go to your Health Food Store and you can find Olive Leaf Extract. It, too, is a natural antibiotic. Go tell the people there what's going on with you. But these are antibiotics that are food and so (I am not a doctor and so can't tell you what you should or shouldn't do) -- I can only tell you what has worked for me. They are strong -- they kept away the terrible bacteria that was growing in my root-canal tooth that was leaking poison into my body about 10 years ago.

I'll post this for you and then go and post my day. :D

Good Evening!

Today was CTX AllStep -- I may be doing CTX series alot until I finish my course. You should see my mornings -- rushing here and rushing there. Goodness! I forget that this was my life in school and in work most of my life -- that was before I became a writer.

Thank goodness for CTX series. Wish Cathe would do another one.

Jeanette, yeah, I don't like those chemtrails. Thing is, information on them is sketchy -- and most government agencies deny they exist -- guess they haven't looked at the sky lately. They were tending to make me sick every time they sprayed us here in LA and that's when I became aware of them. Gee, hope that sore throat heals up real fast. I think you're right not to exercise too strenuously when you're sick.

Rhea, your post made me smile, with the picture of you in class with the blackberry in front of your face. :p

Janie, I agree with Rhea. It's never too much information. We're here to talk and share.

Well, gotta get to bed early and start the day all over again with my mad rush in the morning.

Have a super day everyone.

I have to run here soon to go to the wound care facility. My regular doctor gave me a call this morning to pick up the prescription. It's a specific antibiotic that will take care of the bacteria inside me. They also want to take blood work and other tests. The Infectious Disease doctor is prescribing the antibiotics for me. This is all happening because of the nurse at the wound care facility. She is very voiceterous (misspelled?) and wouldn't let it go away. She got the attention of the doctors about my infection finely, that I deserve. I'm so glad I'm with Group Health. Doctors outside of GH tend to do things differently, I can count on this facility.

I'm sorry for not replying to your personals, but will catch up soon. Every project that I was on, is on hold until I can see improvement in my wound. Just can't concentrate on them right now.

Will talk later when I've calmed down,

Janie

Good Evening!

Today was CTX Leaner Legs and then after course tonight was a short cardio from CTX Intervals. I'm a little up in my weight and so it's real important that I get in as many 2 workouts a day as I can.

Am working hard to get home. It doesn't look like my DH is going to be able to get out here for Christmas. But like I said, I'm not going to be disappointed because I really think I'll be home soon. Am very, very homesick.:(

Janie, hope all goes well with you.

Jeanette & Rhea, have a super weekend.:D

Evening, ladies,
No workout for me this morning. I just didn't feel good, still achy from this cold, though the longer I stayed at work, the better I felt. I had only planned on staying at work long enough to take care of some things that HAD to get done, but ended up staying the whole day.

Tomorrow we are going Christmas tree cutting with the family. Should be a nice day.

Karen, glad you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Boy, it's been a long one, huh?

Janie, I sent you an email. Thanks so much for the package!!! You are a sweetie. Sure hoping the new antibiotics do the trick. I so admire you for making them stay on top of your healing. Hey, it's your body, you should have a say in how it's going.

Hi Rhea, stay awake in that dull class :p

Will check back with everyone after the weekend.

Jeanette

Good Evening (Friday),

A little update:

Got my antibiotics and started them already. Also got a blood test, and everything seems good.

When I got home today from my vac change, there was a message from my PS to call them. I did and they wanted me to come in earlier than the 15th. I told them sure and about my update on the antibiotics. I was talking with Chris, who is with my PS all the time. Everyone goes through her to talk to the doc. Anyway, she said my PS didn't want me on the antibiotics because he wanted it to heal on it's own. That wounds sometimes go through a phase of not healing then healing again. I told her I already started the medication. she said she will talk to PS and see if I should stop taking them or not. Luckily for me, he said to continue with them. (I didn't have to worry about it anymore, you know, I don't like being in the middle of two different opinions). He said to keep the appointment where it stood. So, I'll be seeing him on the 15th as scheduled. I asked my regular doctor if I should go to this appt., she said Oh yes, do see him. So I will. I'm hoping it won't take long now to heal. I'm still not sure if I'm out of the woods yet. There has been so much confusion and things not working, so I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet.

Unfortunately these particular antibiotics (it's rare) could make my tendons sore, so no workouts again for 10 days and then another 3 weeks to make sure it is out of my system. Can you believe it?! I'm thinking I'll start exercising again for the new year. I'm not wasting anymore time. If they do make me sore, then I'm suppose to stop taking them, and they will put me on a different kind. JEESH!

Jeanette, Hope you feel better soon. Please get enough rest and drink plenty of liquids as I said in the private message. It's worth saying again.

KK, continue on working hard to get home, it's just around the cornor now.

Rhea, were you able to get through the dull class? LOL!

Sat: I've taken two doses of the anitbiotics and I feel very nauseous. Had to get antinauseous pills. If you don't hear from me for awhile, that is the reason. I'll try to keep in touch.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good mornin,

As usual, I've learned about drugs and me. I have to take the full amount of the antibiotic, but with the antinauseous pill, I did it this way: First of all, they wanted me to take 1/2 pill. That was a clue for me to even cut that in half again. It made me sleepy and croggy and couldn't eat all day long. They wanted me to take this once every 4-6 hrs. I didn't take anymore until bedtime. With the 1/2 pill I cut again half of that, so now there is 1/8 of a pill I took. Slept beautifully. From now on I will only take 1/8th of the antinauseous pill twice a day 11 hours apart, not every 4-6 hours. So far so good, I'm now normal per se. The pill tricks the brain into not feeling nauseous.

My daughter is coming over today on her birthday. Now I can celibrate it with her the way I want it. I don't wear all my jewelry that much anymore since retirment, so I'm going to have her choose a couple pieces from my collection. I think I'll do this from now on, on her birthday and Christmas. I also bought a gift card for her from Walmart.

See ya all tomorrow,

Janie

Good Evening!

Been working hard today to get everything done in my one day off : ) Just stuff around the house -- cleaning, getting food all ready for the week ahead -- getting Georgie outdoors. Wow, lots to do.

Janie, wow, what a great package to receive in the mail. Thank you so much. What a sweet thing to do. Now, that's a lot to go through with those drugs. My heart goes out to you on these trials. And well done for figuring it all out. Luckily, this, too, will pass. Again, thank you. It made my day to receive the package.

Jeanette, gosh, you're so rarely sick. Interestingly, I had that stomach ache and then had the sniffles, as well, but the sniffles went away fairly quickly (knock on wood.) Isn't that interesting about going into work only to do a few things and staying the whole day.

Bet the Christmas tree cutting was fun.

Rhea, hope all is going well with you, and that you're exercising away.

Well, much yet to do today. Have a super day tomorrow, everyone.:D

Good morning,
Am feeling much better so did a kettlebell workout this morning. Sure did sweat with it as it's cardio and weights at the same time for some of the moves. I'm getting a lighter KB to use for some of the moves.

Had a nice weekend. Saturday we went out and cut Christmas trees, then yesterday was 18 holes of golf. I was pleased with how I did, though the first 9 was better than the 2nd by 5 strokes. Been enjoying our warmer weather.

Karen, you are always so busy. Must be what keeps you so young looking!

Janie, hope the antibiotics and other meds are working well for you by now. Did your DD pick out some jewelry? Sure crossing my fingers that you can be back to exercising again at the start of the year. Is your DH keeping up with his workouts?

Rhea, are you finished with your class in Reno?

Must run,

Good afternoon...

Finished with the class in Reno. But I did not workout this weekend. I was so tired. But yesterday I just ran out of time. Darn sugar cookies took way to long to bake and decorate. But they are done. Yippee. I've been trying to get some of my cross-stitch done too. But I think I've realized that I won't get it done before Christimas. So, back to my workouts.

I think I have two of TH's one-on-one trainers coming today. So I'm looking forward to a workout with him this evening. I can't wait. Well, my muscles can, since I'm usually sore after his workouts.

This week is another really busy one. Another class on Thursday with a trip to San Fransciso that night and at Frisco Friday and Sat, coming home on Sunday. Finally no traveling after that until I think January. Whew.

Well, I had better get off the net......talk to you later.

Good Evening!

Forgot to post my rotation schedule for this coming week. I do need shorter workouts, but I may have to just cut some short.

Mon: IMAX2
Tues: Supersets
Wed: Some straight cardio
Thurs: 2/3 or so of Bootcamp -- Intenstity series
Fri: Bootcamp from 4DS -- cardio only
Sar: 2/3 or so of Bootcamp -- Intensity series
Sun: Off

Hope that 2/3 of the workout works okay -- it might be more like 45 minutes of it and then 45 minutes -- excluding the first 15 minutes or so. I'll have to work on it and see how that goes.

Jeanette, what fun to go and cut down the tree. Am starting to see more and more decorations here in Florida. Not that I'm really lookiing as I don't want to get too homesick -- but keep the attention on getting done and home. Golf sounds relaxing.;)

Rhea, you sound really busy, jumping from one seminar to another, and driving so far and so much -- glad the car is fixed. Hope those new workouts are great and inspire you.

Janie, keep us posted, okay? How you doing?

Well, it's time for me to get to bed and start all over. Seeing the end of this course is inspiring me to do more. :D
