I made a mistake and highlighted my medium brown hair. I did it at home with L'Oreal Frost & Design in caramel, it got good reviews but my hair lightened way to fast and I ended up with almost white highlights with a little bit of a green color.
So my question is how can I correct the highlights? I am thinking about coloring my entire head with permanent color. So should I pick something that is close to my natural hair color, or should I go a little darker that way the highlights take as much color as they can and will be dark enough to blend with the rest of my hair? I will probably do it myself, a colorist isn't in my budget right now.
Years ago, I had my highlights done at a school and I didn't like them so I covered them with a chocolate brown color, it worked and even got complements, but it's been a long time and can't remember which color I used.
