Hardcore Fitness Maniacs January 2026!

Evening,

My appointment went well yesterday. My Rheumatologist is sending me to orthopedic surgeon w/my hip. he ordered new x rays. I also got a call today they had an appointment tomorrow. It can get any worst, right? I want to know what is going on with my right hip. I can’t hardly lift my right leg anymore. It’s very painful.

We had the tech for the thermostat come out again. The heater is still not working. He said this time after checking the attic/garage we need to bring out an electrician. He came out late this evening, praying we have heat upstairs tonight. I am getting tired and frustrated. The last 2 nights we ran the fireplace in the bedroom to stay warm at night. Fingers grossed its working!!!

I had another orthodontist appointment today, they ordered the wrong retainers (night retainers). I had to go in for another scan. Which will take another 2 weeks for the retainers to come in.

Since I missed my live belly dance this morning, I did a OnDemand one. I needed to get my frustration out. It helped. I also did Pilates Hips & Legs which was only 18 min.

I am sorry, I have a headache. I will try to catch up on personals tomorrow morning. Great job on your workouts everyone.

Today I did another Lauren workout Cardio Combinations Hiit, 34 minutes, 203 calories, heart rate 124/161 and Gentle Pilates Stretch//morning exercises 17 minutes, 38 calories. I had to modify some stretch movements like cat/cow on this one. I was rushed today since I had to make a run to the vets office for Harvey's flea and tick medicine before I got started on my morning routine. Total time was 47 minutes, 241 calories.

Roselyn, nice job on day two push day. I do not take a multi, I use a nutrition program and monitor nutrients that I am not getting enough of and take what I missed only. Not every nutrient is listed on packaged foods though so some minerals and vitamins that are not mandatory won't be listed. Even though I am told to take 1200 mg of calcium a day for bone density, I check and include the calcium in my food and will avoid too much as calcium from foods is safer. I use adaptogens but am careful lately because they interfere with immune suppressant arthritis meds. Food is the best way to get the proper nutrients.

Debbie, good job on the Cardio Coach and Max trainer today. I have a big deep sink, but I do not have to bend over because everything is so high in my house including cupboards that I have to use a step stool unless it is the bottom shelf. Maybe you could get some kind of rack that is raised and use a dish pan? My upper back does not like mopping and vacuuming. My husband does the dishes a lot of the time and empties my dishwasher. I understand. It is hard to keep the shoulders back and down and neck straight doing those kinds of tasks. I think some of those instructors try to show off and later you hear they are injured. I have made the mistake too many times over the years trying to do what they do. Not any more though.

Roxie, good job on TBTS Pull today.

Belinda, I am glad that your rheumatology appointment went well. I am sorry you are having pain in your hip. I hope the x rays and the orthopedic surgeon can help with that. That is terrible that you are dealing with getting your thermostat and heat back up and running. Get some rest if you can as it seems you have a lot of things going on at once.

Roxie - I'm glad your Trax warms up good. Maybe mine was defective? Nice job with your workout.

Belinda - Wow Belinda, you can't catch a break. So sorry to hear you have to get your hip checked out now. Nice job getting a workout in.

Diane - Good job with your workouts. I don't understand why you don't have to bend over your sink if it's deep. Don't you have to reach down to get the plates, glasses, etc. to wash them? I might get a wired rack that can span my sink so I can set the dishes and stuff on top. I cook a lot, though, so not sure that will work. I have to do something, it is hurting my back a lot.

Have a great day everyone!!

Here is what I have done this week for workouts, if you can call it that, since my husband will now not be walking the dog during the week.
Monday- 5 miles of walking through the hills
Tuesday- 4.7 miles of walking
Today- 3.5 miles so far, I will get in another mile or two by the end of the day.
Tomorrow, I plan on doing some sort of weight workout, not sure which one because I have to do it in the house since I will not be able to do it in the gym room. My son's desk is in there now so I cannot use it during the week. I do have all my benches and DB's in the house, I can do a weight workout with the bare minimum equipment. Maybe I will do a Caroline Girvan weight workout, those require little equipment.

Great job on all of the workouts the past few days everyone! I need to stop eating chips, for God's sake, what is wrong with me! I am stress eating, and it has to stop!!!

Debbie, great job on the workouts lately! I want to lose about 6 pounds as well, let's do it!

Belinda, sorry to hear that your hip is hurting.

Diane Sue, nice job on the workouts this week.

Roxie, welcome back and bummer about the sinus infection! Those are the worst!

Roselyn, way to go on the workouts and how did your mammogram turn out?

We have sun today, finally!!! It feels so good to sit in the sun and read a chapter in my book.

Have a great day!
