Hardcore Fitness Maniacs August 2025

Good morning,

Got a call from the Neurologist this morning. They found a 2 mm aneurysm in my brain He is sending me to Neurosurgery..Not what I was expecting to hear today. It just doesn‘t stop! I have no idea what I can do or shouldn‘t do workout wise?

Debbie - it‘s been a lot lately. I really appreciate all the prayers. Great job on your workout.

Diane - thank you! Great job with your workout and good luck with your appointments today.

I will be back later.

Belinda, what is going on with you right now? I wonder why this just keeps compounding into more and more issues. Is it the meds they have you on? I am so sorry to hear about this latest finding in your brain! I am praying for you and for someone to get to the bottom of all of this asap!

Wed workout- 4.7 mile hill climb.
Thursday- No weight workout, my husband had to go to work earlier than normal for a meeting so I walked the pup. 5 miles through the hills and we are both dead!
Today- rest day. I went out and bought some new Hoka Bondi sneakers, I hope they fit well when they come in the mail, they did not have my size in the store. Hopefully tomorrow I can get in a CL workout.

Roselyn, I love the new photo of you! Great job on the workout.

Debbie, you are doing great with your workouts, and I am happy to see that you have been waking up to get them done before work. I never see my husband except on Sunday so it doesn't matter when I workout. He works 14 hours a day :( six days a week sometimes.

Have a great day!

Belinda, I am so sorry the results came out like this. Praying for you and the neurosurgeon. You work so hard at staying healthy. It is not fair.
My doctor took me off the methotrexate and now I am taking prednisone and going back next month. He is doing it to see if the pain areas are from degenerative disease or rheumatoid arthritis.

Debbie, good job on Raw Burn Out Lower Body. I am up late quite often. It is okay as long as I can sleep till 8, but with appointments that does not work out that often. My left knee is bothering me. I wanted to do the LMR 2 lower body again, but I may wait till next week.

Roselyn, nice work on Upper Body today.

Jolie, nice job on the hill walks. I have a pair of Hoka Bondi shoes. They fit okay, but I could use a bit more toe room. I quit wearing them for some of the workouts as they throw me off balance with some moves. I think it is the way the front curves up. Colin Champ ,MD aka used to be Caveman Doctor mentioned on one of his emails that when they are helping patients with therapy he made them take the Hoka's off because of balance issues. I still wear mine. I have a lot of foot issues though and need a deep toe box.

Jolie - I have no idea what is going on with me? I am at a lost. I talked to my Rheumatologist if the meds is the cause..they ensued me it wasn‘t the cause. He said they have a lot of other side effects. Thank you for your prayers! I just have to wait until I see the Neurosurgeon. Nice job on your workouts.

Diane - thank you! I wasn‘t expecting those results. The Neurologist was looking for another aneurysm after he read I already have aorta aneurysm I will see the cardiologist on the 28th. It‘s unclear if it‘s from RP? Which is very rare. No, it‘s not fair. My Rheumatologist called me yesterday, I am so glad he did. I was He went over the finding with me . I can’t lift heavy, light weights only. No high impact. I haven’t done in a long time. Basically not get my blood pressure and heart rate up. Not hit my head on something. I have to take it down a notch from what I already have been doing. I hope I get an appointment soon. Glad your doctor is looking into with area your pain is coming from. Are you on a prednisone taper? Make sure you eat when taking prednisone and take it in the morning. It will keep you up at night if you take it later in the day. I learned the hard way. I hope you feel better soon.

I will be back later.

I did CL# 229 Awesome Upper Body. It was perfect. She did higher reps on most of the exercises.I used lighter weights, still got a good workout in. Push ups on the bench, I did on the wall push ups. Triceps dips on the bench, I did triceps press down on the bowlex.

Have a great workout and weekend. I need to look for high reps CL workouts this weekend.

Today I did CDorner Intermediate Step 33 minutes, 186 calories, heart rate 123/154. I followed with CDorner Inner and Outer Thighs with mini ball, 23 minutes, 83 calories, heartrate 98/141. Total time 56 minutes, 269 calories.

Belinda, it is prednisone taper. I took it after I got home and my husband and I went out to eat so in the afternoon yesterday. I looked it up and saw it is better to eat breakfast and take it. I took some melatonin last night. I took it this morning. It causes me reflux. I am going to have to take something for that. I have omeprazole, but try to avoid it. I hope that you get an appointment soon so you can get this taken care of. At least you got some answers on the exercise and some explaining things.

Belinda, I am going to ask my dad what he thinks about this because it is similar to what my mom went through years ago. Since your eye implant is an issue and now with the brain there is a pressure problem and that can be helped, I just know it. When I talk to him, I will discuss and see what I can come up with for you.

Workouts the past few days-
Wed- 4.7 mile walk through the hills
Thursday- CL All In Upper Body
Friday- 3.6 mile walk
Saturday- 4 mile run on the Elliptical on Interval mode and 2 miles up hill on the TM watching a tennis match. I am dead today :) I was supposed to do a CL workout but I am taking the day off. I am really getting into cardio again lately, it makes me happy.

Diane sue, I am not sure I will keep the Hokas, I have my eye on the Brooks Hypertension 3 too! I hate trying to find shoes, I have long, narrow low arch feet with a pinched nerve at the bottom so I have to go through so many shoes to find one that fits me with all of these issues.

Debbie, I am going to start some box and built workouts but the names have changed on Kellys YouTube channel. I have to go through them to see what my favorite workouts are called now so I can do them again. Nice job on your workouts this week!

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning,

I went for a walk outside today. I probably will do a light weight workout this afternoon, I have 2 doctors appointments tomorrow.

Diane - take the prednisone with breakfast and drink lots of water. Sorry it getting reflux with it. I am getting mixed reviews on exercising online. Some say to avoid push up, sit ups and squats? I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, I will ask those questions.

Jolie - I really appreciate all your advice and help! Great job! I have to find workouts that doesn‘t put pressure into my head.

Jolie, nice work on the walks, CL All In Upper Body, and 4 mile run on the elliptical intervals and 2 miles uphill on the TM. I hope you enjoyed taking the day off. That was a lot of work! The problem is when you find a shoe that works, they change them the next time and the same shoe fits differently.

Belinda, I am glad you got in a walk this morning. I hope the doctor is positive about you being able to do some weights. I think I would not do weights till you clear it with the doctor. I got up and ate a protein bar and took the prednisone first thing this morning. Hopefully tonight is better.

Roselyn, nice work on shoulders and triceps today.

Hi all! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, it totally slipped my mind.

Yesterday I did RAW Tabata Boxing and some of RAW Box & Tone. Had a great workout. Workout was 47 minutes total, burned 380 calories, did 3398 steps and HR was 135/160.

Today I did Kelly's RAW Weights 1 and had an excellent workout. I had an excellent workout, I forgot how good some of Kelly's weight workouts are.

I skipped planks due to time and due to the fact that I hate them.

Workout was 50 minutes, burned 316 calories, HR was 123/158.

Belinda - Prayers to you, my friend. Wow, you are getting hit in all directions. Listen to the doctor and be careful lifting right now. Lifting just minimal weights can send pressure to the brain.

Jolie - Great job on your workouts! Hows the remodeling going?

Diane - Great job with your workouts lately!! Doing great!

Roselyn - Nice job with your workouts!!

Where's Roxie?

Have a great day everyone!!

Yesterday I walked the pup 4.2 miles. Today I did CL #10 Upper Body Sculpting, I did it last week but liked it so much I did it again. I love how many exercises she can get in in an hour without going too fast. I am going try to sign up to 30 minutes to fitness on YouTube but I am having difficulties right now. I have never signed up for a subscription on YouTube, what do I do? I want to try the box and build workouts again, I really enjoyed those last year. I like how they lean out the upper body.

Debbie, great job on the workouts the past 2 days! How is it using YouTube for the RAW workouts? $5 is not a bad deal for a month of workouts.

Roselyn, My dad is looking into your issue with the pressure for us. He said if you got vaccinated and or got the boosters this is what has caused all of these problems for you. He got turbo cancers immediately within the 5 years they said would happen. He said they suppress the white blood cells that protect the body from all of the issues and that is why so many things are going one in your body at one time all of a sudden. He is so pissed he got vaccinated but they would not let him into the hospital to see my mom unvaccinated, so he did it and now he had bone cancer, skin cancer and prostate cancer. Thank God, he has fixed himself, if he would have listened to the doctors, he would be dead right now. I would look into a natural doctor as well, to get different options and options. Like Debbie said, any type of workout will get the blood pumping.

Diane Sue, great job on the workout and wow, look at those weights you are lifting!

Roselyn, nice job on the workout.

Make it a great day.

This morning I got on my treadmill and did a pretty good walk. I am still having issues with my blood pressure, my doctor even doubled my BP prescription and it is not coming down. Really has me worried. My HR has been a lot better so I'm happy about that. I woke up feeling sluggish and had a bad headache. I just took a Tylenol to hopefully make it go away. I took my BP after my workout and it was 145/79. Yesterday it was 156/79 last night before I went to bed. I don't get it. I even take BP supplements that is suppose to help naturally bring it down but nothing helps.

Workout was 50 minutes, burned 509 calories (no way), went 2.4 miles, did 5838 steps and HR was 163/191 (NO WAY), I didn't even feel my HR while walking, there is no way it was that high. I'm starting to wonder about my Garmin.

Jolie - Great job on your workouts!! So to sign up for 30 Minutes to Fitness, just go to @Coffeyfit on Youtube and then click on Subscribe. It will take you through the payment process. I used Paypal because it is the safest way to pay online. Then you will be able to use all the workouts she has listed. And I think you are either looking for the Box & Pump workouts or the Ripped & Ride ones. There are not Box & Build workouts on there. And yes, for $4.00 a month, it's so worth it.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Hi,

Yesterday ended up being a rest day, I had too many appointments by the time I got home I was so tired. I had an xray done on my hip yesterday. I must have over stretched it or something. I am falling apart!

Today I went for a nice walk. It’s cooler outside.

Diane - nice job on your workouts. My doctors advising me with causing. I was told what I can do or not to do. You still have to get your blood moving a little, or I start getting clogs. Light weights, I mean very light weights and body weight. Nothing that rushes blood to quickly into my head. I only do slow walks, when I say 10 pounds it’s 10 pounds total. I am very carful, I also need it for my sanity.

Debbie - thank you for your prayers! I really appreciate it. It feels like I am getting hit in all directions. I am very carful about lifting very light weights. I only use two 5’s right now. Would that still be too much? My HR stays very low. I am very careful No bending or squats. Thanks for your advice! I don’t see the neurosurgeon until Sep 23rd.

Jolie - thank you for all your and your dad’s help! I really appreciate it. I am sorry about your dad went through so much. I am glad he is healed himself. Thanks for the advice. I will check into natural doctors.

Roselyn - thank you!

Good night.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Boxing and some of Raw Box and Tone yesterday and Raw Weights 1. good job on today's treadmill walk. Odd about the blood pressure. Mine has been up the last few days. It was fine when I went to the doctor. I looked it up and it may be the prednisone. I have noticed some fluid retention in my ankles.
Jolie, good job on yesterday's walk with the pup 4.2 miles and today's CL #10 Upper Body Sculpting.

Belinda, that is nice that you got in a walk. I understand, I always feel I need to move some. Will they be deciding what needs to be done? I know you will be careful.

Roselyn, nice work on the full body day.

This morning I did RAW Box & Pump 4. I had a great workout, I love this one. Just wish my knees didn't hurt, they were fine a couple of weeks ago.

Box & Pump 4 - 1 minute intervals:

Hammer Curl Pulse/Supination:
15's
Deadlifts: 15's
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Dumbbell Curl Pulses/Pledges: 12's
Squat/Fold/Deadlift Up: 12's
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Overhead Press: 12's
Reverse Lunges: 12's
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Lateral Raise/Alt. Front Raise: 8's
Lunge Sequence: 8's
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Overhead Triceps Extension: 15#
Plie Squats: 15#
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Kickbacks: 8's
Standing Glute Pulses: Burners!!
Boxing Segment: 1.5# Egg weights

Workout was 50 minutes, burned 423 calories and HR was 141/178.

Belinda - I think 5's would be ok as long as you don't feel pressure in your head when you are pushing or pulling them. Wow, why so long until you see the neurosurgeon? They must be really busy. Take care until then.

Diane - Great job on your workouts!! I don't know what is causing this high BP but it has been going on for way too long. I saw my cardiologist in July and he gave me a prescription for the heart rate being so high but did nothing about the BP med. Then I emailed him on MyChart to te him how high it has been and he added a nightly BP med to take, so now I take two a day. Still not working. I see him again in September, maybe by then it will start to come down.

Have a great workout everyone!!

Debbie, my mom has struggled with high blood pressure and the only thing that fixed it, because of my dad not the doctors, is SALT and minerals. Try some Celtic salt on your tongue every morning and every night and see what happens. If you do not have it, use Pink Salt. It can not hurt to try it. Doctors tell you salt is bad for you but it essential to the human body for it to function correctly. Look into it for yourself. Meds just mask the problem they do not solve the problem.

Yesterday was a 4 mile walk. Today I did CL #25 Strong Upper
Body and Core and had an excellent workout.

Debbie, I will sign up for 30 minutes to fitness soon! Great job with your workout even though you are not feeling your best.

Diane Sue, your weights in your workouts are putting us to shame!!! Great job.

Running late to an appointment, have some good workouts today everyone!
