Good morning,

I couldn‘t sleep so I got up at 3 a.m to get my workout in. I did SBF Barre Full Body = 24 min. That‘s it. If I don‘t come home too late tonight I will do a Pilates workout. I will see.

Diane - great job on MR 2 Elevated Cardio Hiit. I hope your husband's mri went well. I believe is the chemical test. I am going to the hospital for this test. They are looking for a blockage. I have the enlarged atery, they running a lot of tests. I am also getting a sleep study. Which I am picking up up the home study today. They wanted to do it in a hospital overnight. I didn‘t like that. I would never sleep, lol.

Jolie - great job on your walk. I am sorry you are going though this with your mom. LOL, at your mom sticking out her tongue out at me. She is set in her ways, lol. I bought the Apple 11. Mine was very old, it didn‘t hold a charge anymore. I had to charge mine every 2 hours. The new one I like. It has a EKG, tracks my sleep. Very easy to set up.

I need to get ready for the nuclear stress test. I will let you know later how it went. Wish me luck. BBL!

We had some hellacious storms go through last night and although we lost power, it only lasted about 5 minutes. My mom lost power and still doesn't have it. I'm going over there later to see if she wants to come to my house for a while. It was really crazy and scary weather and came up on us in minutes.

We did lose internet, however, so I couldn't do the workout i was going to do. I wanted to do Gloved Up and Sweaty from OnDemand. Instead I did Kelly's 30 Minutes to Fitness Cardio Pump - just the boxing workout. I like that one, the moves are fun.

Workout was 34 minutes, burned 275 calories, did 3700 steps and HR was 137/162.

Belinda - Yes, I have OnDemand. Love it!! I can't wait to try some of the workouts. I'm wishing you luck on your test this morning. Praying they can figure out what is going on.

Diane - I sort of wish I only did the monthly payments, but oh well. It's nice to have something else to do every now and then, I'm getting tired of the RAW workouts and the new ones Kelly is putting out don't interest me at all. Nice job on your workout yesterday. I hope your dh's MRI tells you something. Seems these test are no good for problems like that.

Jolie - Nice job on your walk. Glad you are back at it too!!!! I'm having the same types of issues with my mom who will be 89 in July. They are very hard to deal with and set in their ways. Yea, I don't get why Cathe's workouts are always so rushed. I need to find some Live workouts where it actually says slow and steady - if there are any. Let me ask you this, can you search for a particular workout number? Like yesterday when I did the one you did, #344 - I had to just keep going back and back through the workouts to get to it. It took forever because she's on like 500-something. I looked for a search bar but did see one. That would help a lot. The discount code is 50off and it is still active.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon,

I did TBTS Pull today then a 45 minute walk on the treadmill because it is cold and cloudy, My DH’s uncle passed away yesterday

Debbie-we had storms during the night but never lost power

She lives in a senior living community but in her own independent apartment but yesterday she had called me and she can’t find her wallet anywhere her credit card was OK. I don’t know if she threw it away or lost ishopping and she’s all upset because we have to get new cards and new insurance cards and she called me crying. I said it’s OK mom I’m sure I lost things when I was a kid She said I just hate to be a problem

today was a leg day for me

Good morning,

The nuclear test was very long. I did really well on the TM test. It uses a small amount of radioactive material, called a tracer or radiotracer. I only experiment headaches. The lady that took the EKG test was impressed with my HR. She said, she can tell I workout regularly. I am waiting for my cardiologist to give me the results today. While I was in the waiting room, another patient ask me if I saw another patient had a heart attack, they had to bring her back to life. I pray she is ok.

Before I had my nuclear test, I had some time to get my blood test done in the hospital too. My cholesterol was very high last year, I got the results less than 3 hours later, my doctors nurse called me with the results. My cholesterol is in normal range again, he still wants me on the statin. I will bring it up with my cardiologist if I need to be on it or not. The nurse reminded me to make an appointment for a mammogram which I did yesterday as well.

Than I had to pick up the apnea home study kid. I have to use it for 2 nights to see if I have sleep apnea. They are trying to figure out why my pulumary artery is enlarged. You have to wear a small device around your chest, it was pressing into my chest last night, you have to lay on your back all night long. I toss and turn. I feel like I didn‘t get much sleep at all last night. Glad when all this testing are done and they can figure something out.

I did managed last night to do a Pilates mat workout. I try to follow the weekly schedule.

Today will do some dancing and a short Pilates. The Pilates is really helping for my pelvic/hip pain.

Debbie - thank you! Enjoy OnDemand. Sometimes you need to switch it up. I own all Cathe’s DVD’s. I think it’s great if you travel. She does offer monthly for her OnDemand, I think it’s like $20 a month. Sorry about the storm. It‘s raining here.

I am enjoying my coffee this morning. I will be back later.

My mom finally has power again, I was really worried last night because her house was so cold and she didn't want to come to my house. She is a stubborn woman.

This morning I did Cathe's Elevated Lower Body Strength workout and LOVED IT!! This is a great leg workout. I ran out of time so I couldn't do the floor work. Now I wish I would have waited until tomorrow to do it since spring break starts then.

10 Reps for most exercises:

Squat Warmup - 12's/15's
Squats - 20's
Elevated Heel Deadlifts - 25's
Rear Lunge - 15's R/L
Goblet Squats - 25#
Rotational Deadlifts - 20# (these were interesting)
Side Lunge - 15's R/L
Close Grip Sumo - 20's
Toe Elevated Deads - 20's
Cossack Lunge - 20# - 16 reps (these were different, never heard of them before)
Squats w/2 Calf Raises - 20's
Step-Ups (3 risers) - 15's
Toe Elevated Deads - 20's
Lateral Step-Ups (3 risers) - 15#
Crossback Lunges - 20# R/L
BSS but different - 15's (can't remember the name she called this exercise, really felt it)

Floor Work - stopped here
Glute Press on step
Outer Thigh Lift
Quad Lean Backs
Inner Thigh Lifts

Workout was 43 minutes, burned 197 calories, HR was 101/139. My HR felt way higher than that.

Roxie - Nice job on your workout. Glad the storms are over, what a mess they made around here.

Roselyn - You are exactly right - they feel like they are a burden to us. My mom has said that on several occasions and I hate that she feels that way. I get her reasoning, but still, I wish she didn't feel that way. We are only trying to make her life better.

Belinda - Glad your tests went well. I never heard of a nuclear test, that sounds scary and dangerous. What exactly is this test for? The heart? My brother sleeps with a apnea machine and says he has been getting the best sleep he ever got in his life. They make them so much more comfortable now. If I ever needed one, I'd get it.

Have a great day everyone!! So happy to be on spring break next week!! Going to make soaps and lotions galore!! :)

Debbie - this will explain it better than I can.https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/nuclear-stress-test/about/pac-20385231. The test is relatively safe, they only inject a small amount. Like with everything for some it‘s not. Not saying the lady had a heart attack from the test. I don‘t know. If I need a sleep machine I will ask you for the name of your brother, lol. I am getting tested if I need one.

Yesterday was a pup walk after his grooming appointment. Today I did CL #25 Strong Upper Body and Core and had a great workout. Cathe goes too fast in this workout for me so I pause for a set or two and get a head of Cathe so I can go at my own pace. I have the workout written down so I do know what is coming and I can make the workout my own. This is day two for a weight workout this week! I hope to get one in this weekend to hit my goal of 3 for the week. Next week I have to drive to Palm Springs on Thursday to take my mom to a Neurology appointment so that will be a rest day for me. While I was working out today, I heard my mom emptying the dishwasher! I told her last night that she had to earn her keep and that she cannot expect me to do everything around the house. She is a very capable woman who is now used to having everyone do everything for her, but not me! This is good therapy for her to go into her assisted living. I have made lists of her daily chores and activities, so she knows what to do each day. I will be paying a fortune for a few months of this kind of care, but I think it will be worth it till I can get a long-term plan in place. Thank God my parents took out Long Term Care insurance so I should be able to get some of her assisted living paid for eventually. My only other sibling who is older she will not help with one thing. Nothing! All she wants to know is how much money she will get to inherent and when!!!!

Debbie, great job with the leg workout today. I just go to the streaming section for Cathe Live and type in the workout I am looking for or scroll through the whole damn thing to find what I am looking for. There really should be a place to just punch in the number of the workout and it should take you right to the correct workout.

Roxie, sorry to hear about the loss of your husband's uncle.

Belinda, wow on the nuclear stress test! I cannot believe that you got up that early in the morning for a workout!!!! I don't know how you do it.

Roselyn, we lost my mom's credit card, and we cannot find it anywhere. We put it away for safe keeping and now we cannot remember where it is!!!! We know it has not been used by anyone because there is a zero balance on it, but I have to find it for her!

Diane Sue, I hope you have a great workout today.

Have a wonderful day.

Today was chest and triceps

Debbie, yes I hate when she thinks she’s a burden and she keeps feeling bad because I’m leaving for Key West next week and she goes. We’ll never get all this done. I said we’ll do it one step at a time we got your credit card canceled and a new one coming I gotta work out or Blue Cross Blue Shield and get a new card that shouldn’t be too bad. Her ID is gone so she needs to get ID I said it’ll happen I do have a sister that can step in and help if she needs something while I’m gone. I just live five minutes from her my sister’s about 50 minutes away, but while I’m gone, my daughter’s very close to both of us so if she needs any kind of help she’ll be around

Yesterday, I did Elevated 2 Upper Body Strength Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders, 44 minutes, 145 calories, heart rate 93/133. This includes the warm up Strong Body Stacked Sets that I changed my mind on. I like the Elevated Download workouts a lot and that they are 10 reps for most moves. I finished up with Lauren Upper Body Mobility/stretch 20 minutes, 60 calories.
Today I did LMR Elevated #2 Lower Body I did not have access to my workout card for the strength lower body handy so chose the other. I had lots of interruptions this morning. The first was right after the warm up and I left my watch running as I climbed up and down the hill to the second level where the kitchen is with groceries. This took 12 minutes, heartrate 121/137 and 68 calories. Just doing that was a workout! Then I went back and did the weights for 44 minutes, 175 calories, heart rate 102/103.

Belinda, I hope your results from the nuclear test come out well. I have a mammogram coming up this month. I am sorry the lady had a heart attack. I hope it was not from the test. I read up on the test before I had it done.

Debbie, great job on Elevated Strength Lower Body. I am glad that your mother has power again.

Roselyn, nice work on leg day and chest and triceps day. My children asked why their dad did not call them and ask for help when moving things and hauling them to storage or wherever. I told her their Dad would never ask. They did come help and loaded up pickups and my son's flatbed trailer. We are staying at my daughters till we find a house nearer to family. We never want to be a burden.

Jolie, good job on CL #25 Strong Body and Core. That is nice that your parents had long term care insurance. Shame on your other sibling. I guess no thanks for raising me or respect there. I am sorry on that end for your mother. I think staying busy is important for seniors.

Diane - great job on Elevated 2 Upper Body Strength Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders plus mobility stretch.
I honestly don‘t know if the lady had a heart attack from the test? I hope she is ok. You had the test done before? I just hope it comes back normal.

Good morning,

I did SBF TB Classic Barre 2 plus Pilates posture. I started doing one of SBF older 4 week, Advanced Bootcamp workout plan. It‘s kicking my butt. I am in week 2.

I will meet DD & fiance for lunch today. I also will drop off the sleep study machine. I am glad, I can‘t sleep on my back all night long. I probably will sleep like a baby tonight, lol.

Have a great weekend.

This morning I did CL #191 - Low Impact Conditioning Express workout. I wanted to do a cardio & weights workout and this was sort of what I wanted to do. I did ok with this workout but had to stop early on some of her cardio - my stamina is just not there anymore. I miss running, I could do anything when I was running. She had moves like mountain climbers using the sliding disks and I was able to do some of those. It also had compound weight moves that I thought were really fun.

Workout was 39 minutes, burned 196 calories - which is ridiculous. My HR was up the entire time, yet every time I looked at my watch it showed I was under 100 bpm. I don't get it. It's starting to act like my Fitbit did. HR was 108/140 - not sure how, I never seen it hit 140 or 108 and I did 1531 steps.

Belinda - Interesting. Wow, I would be scared to get that injected into me. Hope all turns out ok. Weird how the lady had a heart attach there. At least she was in a good place to have one. I hope she is ok.

Jolie - I'll have to check out that workout you did, I really hate that Cathe goes so fast in her workouts. I just don't understand. I am going to do the Glassboro Road Trip workout next week, remember that one? I remember loving that workout. LOL on you making your mom do things. My mom still lives on her own so she has to do things for herself. I worry about her, though. She told me this morning that she doesn't feel up to going the Good Friday mass or Easter Mass. I told her we would see how she feels by Sunday and possible at least to go Easter mass. She had a really stressful 3 days with her power going out and not being able to sleep. I'm hoping that is why she is so tired right now.

Roselyn - I'm glad you have a sister near by. My brother, husband and I all take care of my mom. Luckily we live about 10 minutes away and my brother about 15 minutes away. She has a lot of support but she gets mad at us for doing too much. Whatever!! It.s nice that we are all going through this at the same time so we can discuss it. It helps to talk things out sometimes and it's nice to know I"m not the only having these issues.

Diane - I really enjoyed the Elevated workout I did yesterday, I will try some more in the coming weeks. I like the 10 rep workouts as well. 8 is better, but those are hard to find with Cathy. Good job on your workouts!!

You all have a great Easter weekend!! God Bless you all, my friends.

No workout today. I am just too tired. I went outside to play with the dog and he left the ball up the hill. I went to get it and there was a snake there in the leaves. I thought it was a branch till I saw it's head up. I ran down and called my dog down from another area, so he did not run into the snake. I am not familiar with many snake varieties. It is probably a non-venomous one. My grandson 15, wanted to know what shape it's head was. I didn't look close enough to find out.

Belinda, have a nice time with your daughter and fiancé. Nice work on TB barre + Pilates today. Yes, I had that injection and test done in 2025. As far as the lady and heart attack chances, my daughter says if the lady did have a heart attack during the procedure she would be able to be taken care of quickly. If she was that close to having a heart attack, she could have had it at home and not made it to medical care fast enough. I suppose that is one way of thinking of it. The injection made me feel weird for a little bit, but otherwise the rest of the testing they did seemed to go fairly quickly, and nothing bothered me.

Debbie, good job on Live 191 Low Impact Conditioning Express.
