Getting Strong. Building Health.

My plan involves lots of variety!
Daily DVD whim choice between these categories: banded work, kettlebells, Pilates, steady state cardio and lots of mobility and rest thrown in for good measure.

Are you planning on following one of the LMR rotations?

Whee! Hello! I'm excited to be checking in after a long absence here in the forums, and sketchy workout habits in general. This month's plan is to do a heavy UB and a heavy LB 1-2 times, a metabolic workout, a hit/sprint/cardio thing, and a zone 2 walk in each week.

Today's plan is a 45-minute walk (but the day is getting away from me, eek)
And, just to show my earnest intentions, this week's workouts included: RWH Plyo 2, LMR2 TBMS, and STS2 Trisets TB, STS2 - LB2.
Waves, Jody : D

Sunday- I got canceled from work today. I did STS2-GSTB and a walk.
Tigger, I don't have LMR- I think it is the only Cathe I am missing. I should research it. I just ordered the LMR2 series. I really liked the preorder bonus, TBMS.
Vol, do you get to do a DVD most every day? I should incorporate more mobility and yoga stretchy stuff.
Have a great week. Jody

Hi Vol and Jody!

That's awesome you do a lot of variety Vol! I mostly do Cathe workouts and follow her monthly rotations. With some modifications because I don't workout 6 days a week. :) I also do a lot of walking year round with or without my dog and now that it is summer, I climb the 88 stairs we have outside not too far from me. I do more stretching and mobility in the winter I think because I love being outside when the weather is good. I live in WA state where the summers are beautiful and not humid.

Jody, I like LMR but it isn't as challenging as some of Cathe's other series in terms of weights used. But you can always increase the weights. I really like the different moves used to help with balance but I am looking forward to LMR2 with more changing weight and moves. I just did the LMR2 bonus on Friday and really like it!

Today was stair climbing and yard max. :p That is me sweating through both. :)

Oh let me clarify, @Faithnveggies on my workout days I usually have a rotation but often deviate from my original selection ( pick a DVD from a similar category on a whim)
I don't do DVD workouts every day. I believe in full rest days from strength training and often do mobility training or sometimes just a day of Classical stretch or short pilates.
You are quite lucky to have pleasant summers @Tigger

No workout yet today, despite it being a day off, and my plan was for a long walk. My "real" workouts will be later this week. My morning included Mom care, and this afternoon has been time-sensitive planning of a hiking trip in NH. Does anyone have experience with flying American and a 39-minute connection at DCA?
Linda, here I was thinking you were busting out major workouts every day! Thanks for the clarification. I aspire to work out 3 - 4 days and have narrowed it down to the ones I listed above, but fall short. But I'm here and back, so that is good for me, at least for now.
Tracy, also LOL at YardMax and StairMax! Now I wonder if you know your 88 times tables?
I'll be back.

I can't take credit for yard max, Jody came up with that and I stole it! Now Jody has given me stair max too! And no, I do not know my 88 times tables!

Linda, I think that's wonderful you do full rest days and mobility work. I have always struggled with doing that, believing my muscles will literally shrivel up and die of I don't work them almost every time I work out. But I also love working my muscles almost every time I work out! :p

Jody, are you caring for your mum these days? I don't have any experience flying American, sorry.

I'm doing Cathe's April rotation and today was All Out LI Hiit and I think I sweated about a gallon. We hit 90 today and we're just not used to that, even when working out indoors with a/c! I am spoiled here.
