Good Wednesday (HUMP DAY) Morning Fit Chicks!!!

Boy time is flying by isn't it????

Well today is my off day but I used it Saturday so I am doing cardio. The rotation called for MIC, but I am just not in the mood for that so I'm going to do RS and have some fun instead! Then some abs.

My Dad had to go to the hospital yesterday. They had to give him 2 pints of blood! That could have been causing the problems. They're doing tons of tests on him and hopefully getting him off some of the medications he's on. He takes 2 for his memory, and they aren't doing anything for him! The other night my DM said he was talking nonsense and doing unbelievable things! I just hope he bounces back. He's 84 but in good health in general. I'm going to go visit with him later. So I'm getting an early start here.

Morning Kali and all who follow. This morning was IMAX intervals 1-5 and the second half of MIC and then I added on SJP abs. I'm wiped! My workout clothes are drenched, so it's off to the shower. I was a little worried because during the first step combo of MIC I stepped down wrong and twisted my ankle. It was a little tender at first, but it feels fine now. I was able to finsih my workout with no problems.

Kali - I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he is doing better!

Hi Katie. GREAT workout! Holy Crap! Glad your ankle is ok. I've done that too.

Well RS is history! Even my shorts are drenched! Feels good to be done early. May get a powerwalk in later this morning if time allows.

Today is one of the CTXs - see what I feel like.

Fun week with my changing companies social schedule has been BUSY!!

Last week 3 lunches (and their should have been a 4th - but my FORMER guy friend had to cancel ;) ) - It was not a give and take -friendship so glad I realized that and closed the door on that.
This week 3 lunches, out for drinks, son's ski banquet, and meeting a former boss for breakfast...
Sure you can all guess the scale is NOT my friend right now ;)

Well off to work.

Kali - I hope your dad is okay. Does he have Alzheimer's? Sounds pretty tough.

Katie - I did that to my ankle a few days ago too - a twinge, and then thank goodness all was well. Just keep an eye on it.

Today I think will be KPC, although I am having urges for an Imax. One way or the other, it'll be cardio.

Yesterday I did 37 non-stop pushups on my toes - a personal record! Then, without stopping, I dropped to my knees and continued to 50. One of these days I hope to make it to 50 on my toes... we shall see!

Today was GS BSS and Bodymax abs. I haven't done the GS series in awhile, so this is a great re-visit!
Can't do the weight Cathe does, but I still feel it, thank you.

Hi girls.

Today is the same routine as yesterday with different workouts plugged in so it'll probably be:

All Step as produced (covers cardio, u/b and abs) + leg work that will be decided upon later. I had originally written this week in my rotation to do GS legs floor for several days in a row but I think I'd rather mix it up a bit so I'll decide later. :)

Kali, sorry to hear about your dad. Hopefully he'll be okay. Glad you were able to have a good time and blow off steam with RS!

Katie, great work out and glad your ankle seems to be okay!

Robyn, sounds like you are having some great times! Good for you!

Shannon, nice work on the push ups girl!

Conni, isn't the GS series great!?

I just finished shoulders from GS & CTX , plus a 4 mile treadmill run.
I have pretty decent doms in my arms from the past two days....so hopefully this (one body part a day) rotation is working for me!!:7

Hey Becky...I recall you always using a bike for cardio. Did you recently purchase a treadmill? If so, I am jealous!!!:p }( :p

Hey Wendy,

No, I've had a treadmill for years. In fact, I replaced my old one about a year or two ago with the one I have now (I think I wore the other one out!)
I HAVE been using the bike more lately, and I think that's because I've been powerwalking so much outside lately, that I just didn't need to walk inside too and I hadn't run since I pulled my glute muscles. So I throughly enjoyed todays run!!! It felt terrific !

Carole, I just bought P90X back and biceps on ebay- haven't recieved it yet. Will I like it ????

Good morning!

This morning I did Muscle Max. Does anyone else think it's surprising that Cathe finishes the plie squats before the end of the last series of reps? Do you think she was burned out, or miscounted?

Haven't seen a post from Shelley today - I hope she's still alive!

Kali - I'm so sorry for the difficulties your dad is going through. That sounds so hard. Take care.

You all are burning up the calories, as usual. Great work!

I'm supposed to do a 40 minute steady state run tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Cathe workout substitute?

I did PUB shoulders and PLB floorwork and then did the 8 min. taebo for a little cardio!!:7

I am maintaining my weight where it is and so I am happy with that for now!:D

Okay, my work out is done!:7

All Step as produced plus the following leg work out with 8# DB's:

static lunges: 30 each leg
plie squats: 30
squats: 30
front pulse lunges: 15 each leg
rear pulse lunges: 15 each leg

I was feeling my thighs when I was done!:eek:

I HRM'd the cardio from All Step and it says I burned 246 calories in 21 mins!:7
 
MM is done. Yay!!

Sandra, I didn't notice the missing reps. Probably because I was so happy when they ended. :)

What about stepblast minus the blasts at the end(i.e. warmup, combos 1-3, challenge, cooldown)? That should be about 40min steady state cardio(not incl w/u, c/d) right?

(Oh, one more thing -- The song I referenced earlier is Sweet Surrender, not Sweet November. Must have been having a bad movie flashback. :))

Good afternoon fitness folks....

I called my doctor today to get some guidance on how to proceed with weight work now that I am getting close to doing shoulders, chest, back etc this week. I specifically asked him about side lateral raises, military presses, front raises, pushups etc. and he said I could do those but with NO WEIGHT FOR TWO WEEKS! UGH...Range of motion exercises only he says. I'm going to listen because I don't want a repeat of what I went through last weekend.

Today I did a 40 minute power walk because it was so pretty outside and warm. I did triceps from PH, MIS, and BM and I had to modify a lot. No dips, did kickbacks during those using 5# DB and down to 2# by the time I got to BodyMax. I used 5# DBs instead of the BB for the French presses.

Better than nothing I guess, it felt a little like nothing.:p


ETA - no pushups for two weeks either... now that really broke my heart.:+
