Cookie - nothing wrong having a little fun I believe I have that DVD I love Barre workouts, they are so much fun. And like you, I feel my legs all day long.

Debbie - great job with your workout this morning. Do you have any iTrain workouts? Beachbody is selling Body Beast at Amazon for the same price you would with a Beachbody coach. BTW, the reason you think you get a good deal is because they took Tempo out the original Base kit;) If you want Tempo which I believe , you end up paying the original price which was I think like $56:eek: You really not saving anything, IMO:eek:

I have been watching Body Beast since it first came out and the base kit never offered Tempo as of the base kit. It is and was an extra and separate purchase like most BB sets there is the base kit and then there is a extra dvd to bump up the workout for those that want it. This is true with TF, PiYo,Chalene Extreme, Combat, Pump, P90X3 etc.. Yes they do offer a free dvd if you order from a Beach Body Coach, which is Lucky 7, however Tempo was never offered as a free dvd with purchase. It would be nice to have Tempo but I do not want to pay that much for it. I will likely sub in Cathe's slow and heavy sections or GS for those days or use the alternate Build workout they suggest. Body Beast is awesome BTW!:) I think the reason for the reduced price is that they realize its a huge huge hit with women too! They totally missed that part of the marketing, and now realize that a Body Beast should be for both men and women. So, They are now filming Body Beast 2 that will have both men and women in it. Not sure if the workouts will be different or more of the same or what as the details are not available as yet. However you can check at facebook for the Body Beast page or Body Beast for Women page to check. Just wanted to share what I new about it.

Nora - I been following BB on FB! For some reason I thought Temp was in the Base Kit:eek: I must be tired:eek: Thanks for clearing it up for me;) It's a great program, I am sure you will see great results.

You can find clips on the Body Beast face book page/Body Beast 4 Women, I don't know about you tube but you could try it. I can tell you the form is great and its straight up old school weight lifting but its sequenced in such a way you get results fast. You don't feel Cathe DOMS where you can't sit or lift your arms. Youtube Body Beast clips for you. Beach Body is not good about showing clips but this is what I found for you. I hope it helps;)

I have been batteling a migraine for the last 3 days so I didn't workout yesterday but I am hoping to do some planks and other ab work here at work since the bosses are gone.

I just finished today's workout, I'm missing cardio and the calorie burns but trying to honor the Body Beast Program.

Here's today's workout:

Body Beast-Shoulders= 38 Min
MV=6.0
CB= 311

Daily HiiT- Summer Body Transformation - Day 30- Rita= 15 Min
MV= 7.0
CB= 143

Total calories burned= 454:(;)

Oh wow, this was great. I gotta say that Body Beast DOMS are different than Cathe DOMs. BB Doms sneak up on you and more doable handle and still function they are there but you can handle that, now Cathe's just flat out mug you mercilessly good and proper. LOL!!

I love how Body Beast is making me feel and starting to see changes this early at day 5, is amazing. I just miss the calorie burns and Cardio I did before. I do like to sneak in some Cardio Coach on the TM for HiiT cardio which feels amazing as always. Love Cardio Coach, RIP Coach Sean Still love your Cardio Coach workouts.

Glad you found my links for BB and cool you got to check out your neighbors copy of BB. I understand not wanting to buy anymore workout dvds for a while, I was in that camp to , then Cathe had a new pre-order workout, PiYo came out, KCM had a pre-order, and then BB lowered its price and I've been wanting that since it came out but with the huge discount I had to get it so glad I did. I know they are filming a new one and If I had to guess I'd say that is the reason why the discount. To ge everyone to try it and create a stir of interest in it so when the new one comes out everyone will get that one too! Now that I've pre-ordered, ordered stuff I think I'm good for the rest of the year, fingers crossed. Take care and have a blessed day!;)

Nora - I did my workout this morning. As far as workout dvd's, I have enough for the rest of my life:eek: I like BB, but like I said I have enough. I never looked/open your link, I have all the info I need :p Like I said earlier I also been eying Body Beast for a few years now;) I also preordered Cathe's new series, but I am still on the fence:eek: I have a blast with SBF workouts right now, I am good:D I contacted Mary yesterday about BB, she doesn't think the price will go up any time soon. I am in no hurry to order/buy more;) Glad you like them.
 
Thanks for the link, Nora. I don't think I'm going to get this series, although it looks awesome. It looks brutal and I don't think my upper back/shoulder would like it. Plus I don't need more lifting workouts. Thanks for all the information on it, though. It does look like an awesome series.

Watching the video explained to me why they were saying to eat 2200 calories - that series is meant for men. Not that women can't do them - I don't mean that at all - just that it looks like its aimed towards men.

Nora - I'm glad you are seeing results already, that is awesome!!!

No workout for me yesterday. Woke up with a bad headache and had a mammogram to go to. I had to stop drinking coffee at noon Thursday and that is what caused the headache. That was bad.

Probably won't be back until Tuesday. Have a great holiday weekend!!!!

I just finished day 6 of Body Beast Lean Rotation Build Block 1, and feel amazing. I know the guys lift way heavier than me and that's fine its appropriate for what they can lift safely with good form. I however do not lift that heavy as they do. I think the heaviest weight I've used is #25 and that is for one arm rows. I tend to use assorted weights from #8 to #20 db, and I think on BB the heaviest is #30 so nothing crazy she hulk like going on here at all. I do want to build lean muscle and get leaner and ripped, and loose weight. Ok, having said all that I need to check in now.

Here's today's workout:

Body Beast- Build Block #1= Chest & Tri's= 49 Min
MV= 6.0
CB= 401


Turbo Fire- HiiT 15= 17 Min
MV= 10.0
CB= 232

Total calories burned= 633;)

I thought about doing Cardio Coach on the TM today but my legs said not so much, so I did TF HiiT workout instead, and it was fun too! I had a super fun workout and so glad I got Body Beast, its fun!

Debbie-Glad you had a chance to look at clips at the links I sent you. Yes, no mistaking Body Beast was clearly marketed for men. However, there are alot of women who have used it and gotten results loosing weight getting more ripped and cut looking without putting on shear unfeminine mass to look like she-hulks. I want to increase my metabolic burn helping my body to burn more fat even while at rest, gain muscle tone, and increase a bit in my strength. As someone with MS its been a challenge to get my strength back and help with balance and overall functional fitness I need to use every day like normal people do. In my case its a struggle so I combat that with exercise to keep the nerve function working to send signals to muscles to work. The muscle strength is there but the signal from the brain to the muscle doesn't work as efficiently as it used to due to outer nerve insulation damage that MS causes. Think of it like a lamp cord the outer cord you see is the insulation protecting the nerve inside, and if there is scarring or damage to the outer insulation it disrupts the electrical signal to the muscle to move from the brain. MS or Multiple Sclerosis means many scars these are what form on the nerves or centers of the brain effected from MS. SO keeping active creates a nerve/muscle memory from use and it does help to keep that signal better able to send and receive better. That's why I workout like a maniac, LOL!! My MS is aging with me and so far the initial nerve damage has not gotten worse. But MS is very effected by heat, cold, and fatigue. The summer has been extremely hot making my MS symptoms that are more subtle very obvious. Those that don't that its MS think I'm drunk or something, and when my balance is iffy I use a cane to make me more stable which seems to be when its hot out. MS fatigue is extremely tough to deal with just to do normal everyday chores around the house. I have to have a game plan and prioritize to aim for the most important stuff and if I can get to the other stuff on the list I consider that a bonus. I have to take lots of rest breaks to get things done. Anyways, that is why I was interested in Body Beast, not to get huge or she hulk like, but just to loose weight, get more fit/toned, and keep nerve and muscle links active and functioning. I appreciate your advice and sharing your knowledge about working out etc. Take care and have a blessed weekend!;):)

Today is SBF Stretch 3 = 20 min. I also did 20 min hip opener yoga yesterday.

My son and his fiancé are here, we having lots of fun. Went to a oldie car show in town yesterday, the went to the outlets in Leesburg. I am done with my X-mas shopping, except for DS's fiancé. She bought a lot of stuff yesterday too. Fossil had a great sale, they had 40% than they give you another 30%. DH and I went a little crazy in Fossil:roll eyes: I don't think I ever was done x-mas shopping in August

Today we are going to a cave near by,should be fun!
