Good evening ladies!
I actually had, at least, a semi-productive day. I got some pretty decent house cleaning done, not Grandma's-comin'-to-visit-clean but pretty darn close *lol*. DSO took the afternoon off and brought me flowers (Stargazers, my FAVE!) and took me to lunch and then we went for a walk (well, in my case, a hobble) at a local park. I do admit that I crashed pretty hard when we got home and passed out on the couch by 4:00
.
Here's the funny though...at some point on our little stroll around the lake, chin ups came up and the fact that, even though I was quite strong naturally, I never could even do 1 when I was younger, probably because I was having to lift an extra 30some-odd lbs. So, as we were heading back to the car I joked about trying some chin ups on the jungle gym. He said he wanted to try and he got 2 1/2 out. I figured I'd give it a go and banged out 6
....had no idea I could do that! Thank you Cathe!!! He tried again and got another 2 out...mind you, my DSO is definitely NOT out of shape
. Made me feel a bit better about myself today
.
Christine - You weren't kidding about having great seats...wow! Glad you had a fantastic time at the game. Thanks for the well-wishes dear...trying to recuperate ASAP
.
Carole - You really should be called Hardcore Cheetah...another run on those sore legs on top of the UB and ARX

!?!? Hope you enjoyed every minute of that very well-deserved massage. Thanks, hon...I'm kind of surprised I'm not eating everything in sight...I was really afraid of that happening but so far food is just not that appealing.
Karen - Sorry to hear that your mom is still in pain...I hope her appt Thursday brings good news. ITA about what you eat the day before a workout. Hoping for a cool weekend for your half!
Linda - Glad to hear that you enjoyed a well deserved rest day. Amazing that you feel so good today! You're too sweet...don't worry, taking my time gettin back to work
.
Jackie - Hope you had a lovely weekend with DBF. Nice runs! Glad to hear that you're feeling great and all the parts are cooperating
. Have a great run tomorrow!
Shelly - How sad for the former owner...can understand why he wouldn't want to live in the house by himself
. I'm sure he thought your repaint was lovely. Hope you had a fantastic run...it's been positively gorgeous out there lately! LOL, I'm pretty good with my terminology but even this one threw me for a loop
. I'm crossing my fingers still for Philly but, me being the over-achiever type was really looking to finish in around 2 hrs. I know I shouldn't be that concerned with the time but that's my goal. Hopefully, I'm fit-as-a-fiddle when I get back from Harrisburg next Wed.
Wendy - I'm actually thrilled that I got *something* accomplished today. This sitting on my arse is for the birds
. Glad that knee is starting to feel better. I don't know, but, if it was me, I would lay off that knee completely until after LBI. There'll be plenty of time later to punish your LB.
Judy - Oh my, that lasagna sounds delish. When you get the chance to write it down would you mind sharing with your drooling Cheetahs...yummy! Great job on your 7 miler today. You sound exhausted, my dear, now go get some good zzzzzzs.
Gonna go crash for good now. I've got to be up and out to the farm early(ish) tomorrow morning...no, not for work, no yelling
!!! The kittens have "the" appt tomorrow, as in "snip, snip"
and I need to take them in early...poor things. I feel bad but it's *definitely* time. Have a great night ladies!
