~*CHEETAHS Fabulous Friday the first *~

Linda :: my current rotation looks like this:

M -circuit
T - run + non-weighted legs (e.g. Winsor Buns & Thighs, Squeeze, or KM drills)
W - circuit
R - run + non-weighted legs
F - kettlebells + run (this is the add'l day of running I'm adding in ~ previously, I was only running a total of 3 days)
S - flexibility-based yoga
S - long run

My regular runs are usually 3-4 miles, but sometimes I've made one of the runs a 2-3 mile interval run. I feel I should probably up the mileage a bit here.

What I am discovering is that I'm hungrier on days that I lift weights. And I was going heavy for awhile, which I think just makes it more so. I feel the circuits complement the endurance training rather well.

It looks to me like you are getting in lots of good mileage and will be well-prepared, but naturally, I defer to our experienced cheetahs marathoners here. :)

Karen :: I hope time on the beach and the ocean air brings you a sense of calm, at least a temporary respite from the worries pressing on your mind. (((HUGS))) to you. My fingers are crossed for good news...Oh, and uhh, I guess you can see how long it's been since I've been to Wildwood. :)

Hey Girls.

I'll have to catch up on personals later. Just came by to say that my work out is done. I did it later then usual but better late then never!

I was supposed to do 4DS bi/tri and half of One on One with Tony plyo legs. Well I was not in any mood to lift when I was going to start my work out so I popped plyo in first thinking I'd lift after that. Well, I never got around to it. I ended up doing all of plyo and really enjoyed it! Can't wait to see how I'm walking tomorrow morning!:p

BBL~

Cathy- thanks for the hug. I needed it.

No news. So I guess no news is good news. With her scan being this past Wed and still no news maybe it isn't on high priority with what they saw is what I'm hoping. I have to be positive. They told us Thursday or Friday they should have something but of course they make us wait the weekend. So I guess we just wait until monday. I told my mom I would call from the beach.

I will see you all when I come back. I will soak up those calm waves and peaceful moments.

Hi ladies!

Posh: Glad the knee is on the mend and you'll be back to running soon! Quite the scare for DS. So glad to hear he and his friend are ok. I have had a close call like his once. It was late on Christmas Eve and I was driving to meet DH at his parents. I was almost there and hit a patch of black ice and started spinning in a circle over into the oncoming traffic lane and was able steer myself into the snow bank on the side of the road where there was some traction. DH taught me how to steer myself out of situations like that before hand luckily. I clearly remember telling myself that this is going to hurt very badly. I hate driving in the winter around here. Whenever there is an ice storm school is cancelled for sure. I am glad you are losing with the new software! :) I try to buy reduced fat stuff when I make my comfort foods too, but I am not consistent. I will try to be more disciplined this year.

Cathy: You could probably tell from my post that I was raging mad when I lost it. Now I know what you all mean when you aren't up for personals after that. It was a long one too! Thank you re: the weight loss. Hope I can keep it off. That is the tricky part. Have you ever read All Summer in a Dayby Ray Bradbury? It is a short story I have read with the kids. It is my favorite. I don't know why I was thinking of that. Great getting in the KB workout!

Wendi: Glad Ms. Toad pulled through for you! Thank you for the high fives. :) I am with you in the pet department. They bring you so much joy. I can't wait to see how Pip reacts to our first snow fall. I know I always love it and the kids stir and can't stop looking out the window. But then it is March and you are like C'MON ALREADY, CUT US A BREAK!!!!

Wendy: Thanks about the weight loss! Glad you enjoyed your plyo today. How is the potty training going? I am doing pretty good over here with my little Pip Pip Pip. That's what I call her when we are snuggling!

Carole: Thanks about the weight loss. This Cathe program sounds pretty cool. You girls have me curious. Is Beau bity? Pip is at times, mostly when she is ready to go down for a nap. I have been saying no in a firm voice and tugging her ear, as that is what I read you are supposed to do. Other than that, Dh and I are pleased with her demeanor so far. She is nine weeks this week and we didn't get Ellie until eleven weeks. Nice workout plan today. How long do you workout per day? Did you walk some on your marathons? I am thinking I want to run the whole time. I have never done the training though, so I have NO idea. I just know it will be challenging.

Christine: You are right on with the wise choices with the comfort foods. That will be my challenge this year. I have no doubt you will get your numbers next time. That is great you will have a nice check for Christmas shopping. Will you be checking in with us in NC? If not, you will be missed! Have a great time with your family!!!!

Hi Cheetahs! 101 here again today! Whew! No relief in sight either. Think I'm going to melt.

Cathy - Love your thought of the day. Three way mirrors and bad lighting! Don't you just hate dressing rooms?

Karen - I will keep your mom in prayer. Know it's hard going away and worrying about her too. Hope you will be able relax and enjoy vacation. Glad the eating is going well for you. Hope the knee is ok. Have a safe trip. Yes, stay positive.

Wendy - Is this the first workout of One on One with Tony? I can tell you enjoyed it since you did the whole thing.

Gloria - We could use some snow right about now. LOL!! Glad things are going well with Pip.

Going to chill! Enjoy your evening!

Linda: Sounds like you have a great vacation planned! MT will be hot. I don't care what they say about the dry heat. IT'S STILL HOT!!! It doesn't help DH is such a pain to deal with when he is too hot. LOL! The spring run off there has been huge, so I guess the fishing is just getting good. One of our good friends is a guide out there. I don't know if you care, but there is a Patagonia outlet in Dillon. When DH and I went there we forgot about it, dang it. Have you been to Twin Bridges? That is where the Winston rods are made. I was surprised to see how small the factory was! It is the sweetest quaint small town I have ever been to. I would live there in a heart beat if I could afford it! NICE workout today!

Jackie: Are you from MI? I was just wondering since your sis lives in Detroit. That is about three and a half hours away from me. So you visit in October? I think that is when they have the Detroit Marathon. They run on the international bridge over to Canada and back. Sounds neat. I lived in East Detroit for a while in middle school. Great workout today and enjoy your run tomorrow. I don't blame you for not wanting to get up at five!!!

Karen: I will say a prayer for your mom. I understand about being miffed about the ouchies from running. I am hoping you will have a nice vacation with your family!

If I lose this post I will be crazy mad. LOL! Today was a five mile run. Need to change it up tomorrow. Last night we had a nice dinner with our friends. Tonight will be low key I am thinking. Have a great night Cheetahs! Time to tend to Pip Pip Pip!!!!!

Evening Ladies!

Hi Cheetahs!

You all are probably out having a good ol' time right now? ;) This was a busy day. I knew it would be. I signed on earlier, in my little window I had to post, but between the phone and the kids I never finished my post. I only had time for LIC - upper body circuit. Whewie! I didn't know I would sweat that much doing that one. I liked it.

Update: My mil had her first chemo today and things went well. :) They sent her home with a fanny pack with a slow drip chemo too. She'll have that removed Monday. DH's tests came back 100% fine! Yeah! Good day here! :) If you have any vegetarian soup recipes high in protein and veggies could you e-mail me? Her diet has to change. I've been making salads and some other things, but raw veggies, salads and fruit with thin skin is not good.

Posh ~ Oh my goodness!! Your poor son! Glad he and his friend are OK! Yeah, the knee is on the mend!!!! RE: the siggy...I couldn't come up with anything else, so it's back. ;) IA on the iMaid and iChef!!! UGH! Hang in there. You have a lot going on w/school, work, etc.

Gloria ~ Sorry you lost your post! That is frustrating. Good job on the 5 miles. Have fun relaxing!

Jackie ~ Don't be melting on us! Yeah, DS5 quits after the first 4 lunges. LOL. However, it's still cute. I'm usually good about the water, but lately not so much. Y-day and today I drank 80 ounces each day. I kept a container filled all day. Enjoy your treadmill run tomorrow. I'll be out there at 7A. Hope it's not too hot!

Karen ~ Enjoy your vacation. You need the rest and relaxation. Saying prayers for your mom. (((HUGS)))

Wendy ~ Was that your first time doing Plyo - one on one. I thought it was a download? It's an actual DVD? I wonder why I thought that??? Yes, let us know how the DOMS is? ha ha

Cathy ~ You're getting some good leg workouts in along with your running. I plan on switching it up really soon here. See above about mil's chemo. Thanks for asking. **lol'd** about your three way mirror comment.

Wendi ~ Would love to have pets. We have two here that don't though. DS5 is afraid and dh had some bad experiences in his younger years. I, on the other hand, would feed all the stray dogs as a kid. lol Well, you know what happens when you feed a stray??? We always had a pet. LOL My mom would get so mad at me. Glad the horse show went well. Your hard work has paid off!

Carole ~ You sure know how to put some leg rotations together. What type of exercises and how many sets/reps do you do, if you don't mind me asking? Has the smoke calmed down there? Nice workout today!

Christine ~ Now you're scaring me re: Spinervals? LOL Have fun on vacation! Enjoy you family bonding time! Thanks for that website for swapping. I have a few I'd like to swap.

Linda ~ Nice workout for you today! Changing that back to back 20 sounds like a good idea. ha ha! IA about the new Tracey core workout and that's exactly what I do too.

Well, I hope I got everyone! I'm trying out the hybrid option. I think that's what it's called. Hi to Shelly, Judy, Sunny, Lorie and any other Cheetah!

May not get the chance to get here tomorrow? Maybe a fly by post after the run???

Have a good night!
