Linda :: my current rotation looks like this:
M -circuit
T - run + non-weighted legs (e.g. Winsor Buns & Thighs, Squeeze, or KM drills)
W - circuit
R - run + non-weighted legs
F - kettlebells + run (this is the add'l day of running I'm adding in ~ previously, I was only running a total of 3 days)
S - flexibility-based yoga
S - long run
My regular runs are usually 3-4 miles, but sometimes I've made one of the runs a 2-3 mile interval run. I feel I should probably up the mileage a bit here.
What I am discovering is that I'm hungrier on days that I lift weights. And I was going heavy for awhile, which I think just makes it more so. I feel the circuits complement the endurance training rather well.
It looks to me like you are getting in lots of good mileage and will be well-prepared, but naturally, I defer to our experienced cheetahs marathoners here.
Karen :: I hope time on the beach and the ocean air brings you a sense of calm, at least a temporary respite from the worries pressing on your mind. (((HUGS))) to you. My fingers are crossed for good news...Oh, and uhh, I guess you can see how long it's been since I've been to Wildwood.
