BFL...Sunday April 13

Hey ladies!
A quick post to let you know I DID run my 22 miles today, woohoo! My time was 4:14:46 - 11:34 pace per mile. I should be able to comfortably finish the marathon in 5 hours or less (I'm just shootin' for the finish line this time around post-injury). ;-)

My DH took the dog up to the path to meet me at the end, he ran with me about an eighth of a mile and now he's pooped! Of course DH had him out there for a walk prior to seeing me and the poor guy is 13 years old too.

I didn't get a chance to get to the pool yesterday. We did errands and then in the afternoon the sky just opened up and it POURED for a few hours. I'm also waiting on some optical goggles (prescription because I'm blind as a bat without my contacts or glasses). Hopefully they'll be here this week so I can SEE where I'm swimming to!

I promise to do personals tomorrow, I'm starting to stiffen up here. Better head to the basement and stretch!

Kathy

Kathy, way to go on the 22 miles. I could not imagine running over 4 hours!! You are something else!!

Melissa, I do great at meals...very clean. Its about 3 in the afternoon when I have the urge to bake or have something sweet and I just blow it big time. If I could conquer the time between 3-6 I would make it just fine. I also find myself thinking "oh well, I messed up so might as well mess up big time". Oh I hate that!!!
Im working on it though. One day at a time!

Hi,

Well the muffins are finished and I have moved onto making Sweet Potato Soup. The sweet potatoes and garlic are baking as I type. Boys are watching Harry Potter #5 and eating muffins warm from the oven. I ended up making the muffins this time around and freezing half for later use.
After the soup is done I will be making Curried Chicken and veggies for dinner. My oldest DS will be coming over to do his laundry and hang out with us for the evening.

Hi Susan: It seems like quite a few people are trying to sell their houses these days. Where did you move too? I hope that it is warm year around! I have had enough of this snow mess for awhile.
Have fun at the pool with your DD. Is she on a swim team?

ETA:
Hi Susan: If you are craving a sugar treat... have you tried the choc. mousse from BFL cookbook? My daughter loves this....me too of course.;)

Hi Melissa: The house smells wonderful! I bet yours does too. :) I agree with you about having things written down. I can look at my notes and my calendar and see exactly what I missed. For me this week I missed getting in my abs as many times as I had planned. So tonight I am going to add this and another cardio session.

Kathy: Wow! 22 miles! You must be exhausted now. Good thing your miles get cut back so you can recover these next weeks before the race. I guess using contacts while swimming doesn’t quite cut it huh? :) Have a great stretch!

Oven timer is calling. BBL Heidi

Susan - have you tried re-arranging your meals so that you eat one around 3-ish? I usually eat at 8:00/10:30/1:00/3:30/6:00/8:30. Usually after 1:00 is when I crave something sweet so I understand where you are coming from. It's hard, I know!!

Heidi - what time is dinner? I'll be over...;-)

Hi Melissa:

Dinner bell is at 5PM!

You have to try the Roasted Garlic and Sweet Potato Soup from that cookbook! Yummy!!! :9 Very easy to make as well. Makes enough to freeze for later and quick add to any lunch. Probably could eat this cold!
Oh...pg.197 from the "Eat-Clean Diet" book by Tosca Reno.

Time for DH to wake up I think...he's been napping since around noon.:) Too much partying last night.;-)

BBL Heidi

Heidi, No I havent tried the chocolate mousse. Do you happen to have the recipe??
We moved from Mississippi to Ark. We are in what they call the "armpit of Ark". Its just horrible here. My DH is helping his brother run his business. We both hate it here and are trying to move back.
We get cool sometimes cold weather in the winter and even snow maybe once. But it gets downright miserable in the summer...very humid!

Meilssa, I usually eat at 7, 930, 12,3,6,8. I think with me its a mental things or a major sugar addiction. The more I eat the more I want. I always want something sweet after a meal.....and even when I have dessert I crave more.
I wish I could just get rid of the cravings all together.

Okay Heidi, I'm on my way!!!

Susan - I think that is why I depend on my coffee so much. It's not the caffeine, it's the sweetness of it. I use it as a treat more than anything. Last night I was really struggling and needed something sweet. I went out at 7:30 and got a small coffee w/1 sugar & 1 splenda and it did the trick. It's better than the alternative: raiding DD's leftover Easter candy!!!

So, I'm back a lot later.

LBWO was basic BFL - squats, leg presses, deadlifts, calf pumps. Still not doing lunges because balancing aggravates my toe - noticed it bothering me more in this cold, damp weather. I'm expecting to be back to normal in another week. Good powerwalk also, plus took the pup for a quick stroll.

Been running around with groceries, cleaning house and laundry. Still need to get the homework finished and get dinner started. I don't really want to cook tonight. I bought all sort of stuff to grill, but I'm just not up for it when it's breezy in the 30's. We'll find something fast.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable day. "See" all of you tomorrow.

Hi girls

I did 4DS Kickbox and BFL style legs on the Bowflex! I will be back for personals if I can stay awake! LOL!
