Good Morning Fnv, I would like to thank you so very much for all the hugs you have been sending my way, they are greatly appreciated. I am starting to feel better about the situation, throwing myself into my job and exercise. :)

Deanna, I was thinking of you today and still sending hugs.

My knee is still iffy, but I got a workout in (planned to walk and ended up jogging) plus some body parts.

Good Morning workout buddies :)

I just finished Body Fushion and as usual Cathe worked me out!!!!!!! :)

Made myself a breakfast shake with Flax seed, several differnt types of veggies, Aloe Vera, Lemon juice, water and a little Pinapple Nectur.

Tomorrow is Abs, and Stretching. I think I am going to do my own Ab workout and then do one segment of Stretch Max.

Where is Cyndi?

Okay, I am going to finish my breakfast and start getting ready for work. I will check in later. I hope you all have a great workout. :)

PS: Anyone thinking about doing the Turkey Trot 5K Race that Cathe suggested? I have been looking into it. There will be a 5K every month in Vegas through December. This will be good for me, get out of the house and keep my mind off my son. :)

Regarding the 5K, there is always a 1 Mile walk for those who can't do the 5K. Trust me I will NOT be doing the 5K, I would register for the 1 Mile walk. :) LOL

Oh my God, my glueus maximus/buttox/a$$ muscle will not stop contracting! LOL It does not hurt, it is tingling from my buttox down the back of my leg. I guess it was those darn Lunges!!! It appears Cathe has a fetish for Lunges and Squats.

Deanna, I just had kale banana almond milk protein powder smoothie--great minds think alike!

Susan, great workout, u are doing so well. I love all kinds of music, from the 50s to today. I bet you would like some workouts I have by...someone...can't think....uh....oh yeah, chrisi taylor! yep....fun music too. Dang it, only 20 for PS? I will check it out tonight.

You two are tempting me to go on a smoothie kick. Not as nutritious as yours, but good nonetheless.

FnV - I checked out some Christi Taylor workouts on YouTube. I liked some of her step routines. They looked like a lot of fun. I'll add them to my "future buy" list !!!

and, yes... I did my abs and stretching today.... and doing well on food and water.. but I'm really really really hungry today for some reason and it's going to take all my willpower to stay on track in the food area.....
 
Morning Ladies :)

If I can make it through today, I will have one more day to work until the weekend. :)

I decided since today is Abs and Stretching, I will do my workout after work today. I know I said previously if I do not workout in the morning then it will not get done, however I am just not feeling it this morning. After yesterday with my gluts burning I wanted to give my body a little more rest. The funny thing is my body is not sore, as a matter of fact I have not experienced being sore since the 1st week we started working out. I will attempt Core Max (no equipment 20min) and my Yoga dvd (20 min) to help me relax afterward.

Friday is Cardio for me since I am not going to walk outside. I have been viewing Low Impact Step to determine if I will attempt doing it. The Workout Manager reflects that Body Fushion burns more calories than Low Impact Step so I will probably stick with Body Fushion. :|

I must confess, I weighed myself. :( My clothing is fitting different and there is one lady at work who compliments me daily. One person out of 200! She is a beautiful older lady, I call her Ms. Sexy because she has to be in her late 70's and she has a wonderful shape. She told me yesterday that she wants me to show her how to do the squats and lungs because she wants to get FINE like me.....LMAO....She tell me everyday that I am looking thin or smaller. :) Anyway I got on the scale this morning and it is down to 181.2 from 185.6, that is a 3.6 weight loss. :) I did not take my messurements. I will take that 3.6 weight loss, it encourages me to continue to push play and workout with Cathe no matter how much it HURTS & BURNS.....LOL :) I feel my water consumption is a big part of it, that is why I encourage everyone to drink their water. Plus my skin looks really hydrated. :)

Okay, I hope everyone has a wonderful workout and please drink your WATER. :)

PS: My son came home yesterday evening with a hair cut. I have been asking him to cut his hair all year because he was waking around here looking like teenwolf and he works in fast food. His job even talked to him about his appearance and shaving. Not sure if the parent of his friend where he was staying the last week said something to him about his appearance. That really hurts because I would have thought since I raised him alone he would have taken my advice over a stranger!!!! Not going to get started, just going to take this experience the same as I take the 3.6 weight loss. :)

I must confess that I weighed myself this morning also. Down 2.5 pounds since we started !!! And I feel a tad bit lighter... lol. I'm encouraged. I'm psyched....

1696 calories yesterday... so not too bad. As I said... if I can lose a couple of pounds a month, I'll be very happy. Anything more than that is icing on the cake.

I did my abs and stretching and drank my 50 oz of water.... so today is Body Fusion for me. I'm glad I swapped out the Wed/Thurs programs. I was sore yesterday and needed a kinder gentler workout day. Back to the grind today though....

Deanna - since you are having trouble sleeping, I think it makes sense to do your abs and stretching this evening. Hopefully, it will make you sleep better tonight.

I've got a busy day today... errands, friends, housework..... but I'll try to check in later this afternoon.

Quick midday report before I head out the door...

I did Body Fusion :eek: that DVD beats me up something fierce. I was proud of myself for doing the scissor thingies... I actually got myself airborne... lol I still modified a few things. I don't do the "hop turn"... I just turn without the hop. I'm a little afraid of tripping and falling on that kind of thing. And I eliminate a bunch of the pivot turns.

But those uneven lunge/squats are killers. I hope that at the end of this 3-week rotation I will feel as though I can do Body Fusion smoothly and confidently. I have a long way to go :rolleyes:

I'm being good about food and I've had 30 oz of water so far.

For tomorrow (cardio and stretch), I'm either going to do Low Impact Step without the cardio blasts or I'll go to the gym and do treadmill...... I'll decide that in the morning.

For today... I'm done !!! Yea !!! But I feel good... I do love to exercise... other than the daggum squats.... :p
 
Good Evening Ladies.

Came straight home from work and attempted 20 min of core max, and 20 min of yoga. I am totally relaxed. :)

I eat really good today but I did not have breakfast. I have Oatmeal at work so I had that as well as the food I packed for Lunch and a snack. Still working on my water.

Friday is Body Fushion for me and I will do that in the morning before work.

I hope everyone have a good evening and I will post after my AM workout. :)

I am wiped out from Body Fusion this morning... lol. I shall conquer that routine... I shall..

In the meantime, I'm going to bed early and hopefully will get a long deep night of sleep...

Deanna, I bet that the less you are attached to the outcome, the more likely your son is to do the right thing, follow his heart and follow the right from wrong values you've instilled. I am guessing he is just at the age where, even if you are right, he wants to make his own choices and will make opposite of what you want in order to be clearly the one making the decisions. ---Hi son, nice haircut. Move please, I want to do body fusion. Can you hand me the remote?-- lols

Having my Breakfast shake with Greek Yogat, Berries, Fresh Aloe Vera, Lemon Juice, Flax Seed and some more stuff...LOL

Saturday is Upper, Lower and Abs.

How are you guys feeling? I am feeling stronger everyday. :) I am starting to see a difference in my body with every workout. ")

Great job on getting Body Fusion done this morning before work. You are doing fantastic !!!

I am starting to notice a little difference..... even though I've only lost 2 1/2 pounds, I feel thinner. It is working.

Deanna - I agree totally with what FnV said about your son. At 18, they want to fly out of the nest and experience life on their own terms. And yet, we look at them as still so young and inexperienced..... and they are... they just don't know it. They think they are all grown up and soooooo smart. It's a difficult time for sure.

It's 57 degrees out with low humidity. Yea !!!!! And only supposed to hit the mid-60s this afternoon with a slight wind and clouds. That's THIRTY degrees colder than it has been since late May. I shall open all my windows today and give the house a good airing out. What joy !!!

soooooooo... It's Yard Max for me today.... then I'll come inside and do a full stretching routine.... and.. if I have any energy left over, I'll do Basic Step..

Between the two of you I have the Theme from Rocky---Getting Strong Now--- in my head. Woo hoo!

In my cart, but not purchased, is the Body Blast with Timesaver Series and the Pure Strength series. Comes to $116 ish, free shipping. If I get those then it may be easier to enumerate the workouts I DONT have, than the ones I do have. (I don't have half of the Hardcore series and only a few of the STS Shock Cardio). MMA and KB not high on my list of wants.

I understand that it can take 6 weeks to make a habit. I am a slow learner so maybe 12 weeks for me, lol. I can apply this to my workouts, my food, study or house cleaning routines, spending, etc. I will keep this in mind this weekend. Where am I in my journey? Big question for someone whose favorite "thought bubble" is -- I have no idea what I am doing out of bed.

Habits. That's exactly what I'm trying to do. Develop (or, rather, re-develop) good eating and exercise habits. I used to have them years ago, but they fell by the wayside post-divorce.

If we eat right and exercise for one day and congratulate ourselves, then wake up the next morning and vow to eat right and exercise for just that one day.... and not think about all the days ahead, but just concentrate on doing it Today... then eventually it will become a habit.

Or .. at least.. that's what I keep telling myself. But it's true... I know it's true.... just think about Today.

I gave up long ago trying to be disciplined about housecleaning.. lol. I binge on housecleaning... I either let it slide or I get into full Spring cleaning mode. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground... lol I never let my house get out of control, but I do slide on vacuuming and dusting as often as I maybe should :rolleyes:

As far as spending... I have been soooo good all year.. UNTIL I found Cathe.... then I bought all this equipment and all these DVDs... sigh..

FnV - I will only take the blame for the Pure Strength Series in your shopping cart... lol. I never once.. not once... encouraged you to get the other....

Edited to add: I seem to like the Hardcore Series... I have Core Max, Stretch Max, Low Max and Muscle Max. And.. I have the Gym Style Series on my wish list for later.

Quick drive-by on my way to fix dinner...

I got a ton of Yard Max done today. It felt fantastic.....

and.... I felt stronger from having done our workouts. Yea !!!!!!

Drank lots of water.. have been fairly good about food.. but all the Yard Max made me hungry... lol

I didn't do any other exercise today... the Yard Max was plenty.

Tomorrow is upper body, lower body and abs..... I can do that!!
