Attention Cathe Live subscribers, Thursday April 24, 2025 at 9:30am EST, we’ll be doing “Cycle Circuit” LIVE. Get ready to dive into this high energy workout. Be prepared to get on and off your bike as you do four circuits. Each circuit consists of an intense cycle challenge immediately followed by an intense upper body weight challenge (off your bike).

Equipment Needed:

An indoor cycle

A variety of weighted dumbells

Lifting gloves are optional but recommended for a safer grip

You know I will :). I was trying to find my post from years ago when I suggested a on/off
bike & weight workouts, but couldn’t find it. I do workouts like this on my bike, treadmill, rowing machine from other sources and love them. Doesn’t get boring!
 
OK, here's my step by step review. Just finished watching, one word to describe this workout:
AWESOME!!!

It is what I consider express, about 38-39ish or so. I think I missed the first few minutes so my times are an estimate. 4 Rounds of cycle & weights. Each cycle segment is something different as far as the cycling moves on bike.

1st round- warmup on cycle & increase speed/resistance, etc. approx. 6-7ish minutes.
Off bike-weight segment- Curls/Laterals, Uprites & Front Lifts, Cross Body Lifts--about 3ish minutes.

2nd round- Cycle- about 5-6 minutes.
Off bike weight segment- Deadrow/shrugs, Sweepers, combine rows/shrugs/sweepers
Sgl. arm Push Press- segment approx. 4 min or so

3rd round- Cycle- about 5 or so minutes.
Off bike weight segment- Laterals, Scarecrows combo (bilateral & unilateral) and weighted shoulder circles (this segment she used slightly lighter weights) approx 3 or so minutes.

4 round-Cycle- about 5 1/2 min. or so
Off bike weights: Rear Delt Flys, OH Tricep exts. and the Tricep Pressback/Kickback combo (which I love) and into the Tricep Pressback flipping palms (which I also love) about 4 min or so.

Standing floor stretch, 1st for upper body and then move back to bike to use as prop for lower body stretches. approx 3 or 4 min. She also does some upper body stretches at the end of the weight segments b4 getting back on bike.

On a scale from 1 to 10, (10 being the best) this workout is a 15!!!

I'll be purchasing this one!

I'm hoping for companion Lives - Spin & Lower Body, then Spin & Standing Core! :) Love a cycle circuit!

Great If you have a spin bike in your living room--otherwise--not so terrific for everyone else who does not have an indoor cycle in their possession:(
My biking is all done OUTSIDE ---the old fashioned way and I personally love it:) Enjoying the outside air and socialization.

I suppose one could try it with any cardio machine if they have it, or a trampoline, or ropeless jumprope, or even a step,, etc. just to get the heart rate up into cardio range for the duration of the cardio section. When Cathe & crew surge, just increase the intensity like an interval. Just some ideas to make it work.
 
What brand of bikes are you all using in this workout? They seem to be different from ones used in
previous workouts.....they look like they have alot of adjustments for height, etc for the seat, handlebars,
and they look pretty compact. Just curious.

I noticed they were different too & wondered what brand they are.
