Alternative to barbell Hip thrust

Hi, just thought I would share that I tried out the Bellabooty belt. For me this definitely works better than a barbell; nevertheless, I will say I needed to hold the dumbbells in the horizontal position otherwise I could not extend down as far as I needed. I had 5 risers on each side of the step. I think if I increased it to six risers that might eliminate the issue. However, at the moment only have enough for 5 on each side.

I will definitely be doing hip thrusts more often -- even outside STS 2.

Just thought I would share.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.

@nckfitheart2009, any thoughts/review yet? Be sure to let us know :)
Here is my view on Bellabooty. For me it works better for HEX dumbbells. The cumbersome of selecttech cause the barre to not shift smoothly throughout the entire range of the motion.
Travelling up and down the bulkiness does not always enable full execution in terms of the range of motion.
It felt counter productive to me aiming to keep tension on the glute. It just felt distracting on my brain and I did NOT feel happy about that. Hex dumbbells works better than selecttech.

For heavier load I can handle Barbell with large disc, large enough to slot in my leg. I then use the strength of my hip to lift the barbell up to the starting point. Set up before executing a hip thurst is important. For me I prefer this technique. Using step risers can help in the set up.

Let be careful ladies and gents, i have seen some bad forms while hoisting hefty load.

@Debinmi I took time to share my view hope you do not mind. I would rather try on few attempt and check all details in terms of the technic and then share my thoughts. I feel safe not rushing to make my opinion.
