I did not see a thread so I started one. I channeled Jody this morning and did DM. It was not as bad as I thought it was. I used to really like it and then I started getting a dread factor with it. I did skip one drill and modify another but otherwise, I did all of it. Half-way through I was thinking that it would be good to do this in parts but I was already in.

Murphy, Good job on DM. I was thinking of halving it next time, if Im short on time or energy.
Yesterday I never did a w/o but rode my bike a bit and walked. Today I finally did the xt legs, 5 pd ankle wts thruout floor and added 100 hip thrust challenge then rounded it all off with BG abs since I had the ankle wts on anyway.

Hi girls! Rest day today. DH and DS did amazing in their race, they both placed 3rd in their age group! DS was only 23 seconds behind his dad, won't be long and he will be beating him in races! Beautiful day here. Lisa, how are you feeling? Roxie, how did the party go? Was he surprised? Ronne, how was the picnic? What did you make? Murphy, I kind of avoid DM truth be told! That is a hard one, but now I'm going to have to do it......peer pressure! Jody, you on break? Now, I have to go watch the Amazing Race, finale night! Sleep good everyone, Mary

Time to get back to working out so I will do KCM Step Box with KBX drills, 230 squats and a walk I wanted to go outside but its cloudy again today thought the sun was suppose to shine stupid weather.

Mary-dh was more confused then surprised he suspected something was up when dd asked us to stay overnight when she invited him up for supper and he was waiting for me to say something about a party but when I didn't he thought maybe he was wrong and then when we pulled up and saw the cars he figured it out but I think he had a good time.
 
Good morning! Today did a firm work out. I have decided to alternate weeks of lifting heavier with cardio based weeks. I might even start 2 a days, I feel pudgy! Roxie, well at least he was confused! I'm sure he had fun. Sorry about the clouds there, we are (as the weather man says). Stuck in an area of high pressure, and it's beautiful here, I'm grateful! Lisa, how are you? did the biceps and back premix from 4DS. I did not like it but I will try the chest, shoulder and tricep premix and see how that goes. Otherwise it will mess-up my schedule for the week. Yes, I could just change and do something else but my anal side won't let me.

Good Afternoon,

I did KCM Step Boxing Premix 1 with KBX drill and I really liked this one and then I did 30 mins on the TM now its time for 240 squats only 2 days left of the challenge.

Mary-the sun finally decided to make and apperance today. Its suppose to be in the 70's all week with a chance of rain later in the week. You must be channeling me today I was thinking I am pretty pudgy today went grocery shopping and bought alot of healthy stuff I am tired of being fat.
 
HI everyone, I'm here. Sunday I ended up only doing the relax part of Yoga relax :) I had slept well the prev night (I didn't wake up until 8;30 am! and I got paged and got right back to sleep! I think my body is enjoying sleeping WITHOUT an ice pack attached to it!) and must have gotten a nerve pinched that serviced the tricep/arm, ended up taking gabapentin (sp) for the nerve pain that night ( Mary, I'm only taking it as needed and so far it works for me that way, it might not if my body gets accustomed to it). Monday (today) I did LIC, arm movements felt OK, I even went in to work today-made it a short day(I figured I better while I felt ok....1st injection feels like it's wearing off at times (like after spinning...you'd never think you bounce so much, but those standing drills are tough and are worse than walking for me, seriously only once you start thinking about what affects the neck you think of things you don't even think about!

Mary, wow, you have some runners! My next Neurosurgeon appt is next monday, I did warn work today that it isn't looking good and that I may be out quite a bit and that I was cutting back some hours -- thankfully they are ok with it (they prefer it actually, that way they don't have to pay me as much). I go to my gyn appt tomorrow....I've been putting that off as I couldn't even think about that while my neck hurt so bad....so that means I'll hvae to shave my legs (thinking of you here Ronne).

Roxie, the rain will be starting here and this week I was going to hike a little with my gf :( I feel like I"m trying to fit everything in while BOTH injections are working. I bet you will be ready to be done with squats! Sounds like your DH had a special 50 :)

Jody, that workout sounds like a lot! your workouts put mine to shame!

Murphy, DM is tough, I skip some of the parts (ssssh, don't tell).
 
3.5 miles with sprints, push ups, dips and pistol practice at TKD then came home and tried Hard strikes with 2.5 pd wts so I sort of modified parts of it. And visited my mom plus did Super Target shopping. I could be the Target Lady from SNL, I love that place.

Re pudgy, I've gained a few pounds off the BB meal plan but feel pretty good, but I'd still want to lose the lbs anyway and be on the skinny side of ideal body wt. Plus, show them b****, lol.
I actually quite liked HS the way I did it and Mary I liked XT Legs workout too. It went by quickly. I think I was just fatigued the other day. More winners from XT

Murphy, I did HS today in order to mentally check it off from 2 weeks ago! Follow whatever plan you need to to stay on track and feel athletically fulfilled!

Mary, i'm ready for a nap but it is 7 pm. Maybe I'll shower and watch amazing race on demand and hit the hay early. I enjoy that show but usually miss it (we are Survivor fans).

Roxie, did you originally dislike the kickboxing step boxing KCM? I think I remember you saying something about it not clicking. I hope you got to enjoy gs this weekend.

Hi all

Definitely feeling springy here. Had a weekend of lovely weather, got loads of jobs done and spent some time outdoors. Perfect! The picnic and walk was a success yesterday. I made little lemon cakes, dipped in lemon juice and sugar. They are so moreish! Even DD said she had a good day. Now back to work, or not as it's still very quiet, hmm, not good. Did TTM as I had the time, had to skip the second round of the compound legs section as I was at my limit by then, but all good apart from that.

Jody - ankle weights on the Legs floor section?! :eek: I take my hat off to you. I also like that one, I like the variety and how you can mix it up with barre as well. I'm always nearly crying at the end of that floor section tho'!

Lisa - it's good that work aren't hassling you, at least that's something you don't have to worry about. You wimp, shaving your legs!! :p Has DS started his new job yet?

Roxie - that's one heck of a workout! I bet you won't want to pick up your barbell for a very long time once you've finished the challenge.

Murphy - what didn't you like about the premix? I like the weight work in 4DS.

Mary - well done to DH and DS! Fantastic! And well done to you for taking a rest day, I know you don't find it easy!

Oh, I forgot to mention a couple of weeks ago, DH's son came in the top 200 in the London Marathon (that's out of 20,000 people!). So impressive, he did it in 2hrs 39 mins, it was his first ever full marathon.
 
Good Morning,

I woke up to beautiful sunshine finally. I will do KCM Your Best Body Premix with Cardio Rests and then 250 squats for the last time I like the results I got but I am tired of squatting. I will also go for a walk.

Ronne-I haven't used a barbell at all just body weight and that seems to have been enough. I don't think I could have done that many with a barbell.

Jody-you are right at first I didn't like this one but with this premix the step parts are broken up by kickboxing drills so it was easier for me to follow along.
 
Good morning! Today did PLB, last night I did a little work out I found on Pintrest, took only 15 minutes, jumping jacks, etc. maybe just little extra boosts will make a difference? Ronne, I don't know what moreish is, but I do want some of those lemon cakes! Congrats to stepson! I don't know if I could do a marathon, well, mainly because I don't want to! Roxie, congrats on finishing your squat challenge! That is dedication. Jody, I LOVE Target! We have one a half mile away, I can piddle away time in there! Lisa, have fun today ! Don't forget to schedule your mammogram while your at it! Murphy, I find I pull out 4DS very little, just never clicked with it. Have to take the dog to the groomers, I let her get too shaggy, she's a mess! Have a good day, Mary
 
I did my KCM workout and squats then went for a 2 mile walk outside and it felt fantastic.

Mary-thanks I can't believe I finished it.

Jody-I miss being close to Target we had one less then a block away from us where we use to live there isn't one here.
 
XT BS CBS today. Roxie, love that fantastic feeling that sometimes goes along with the workout and getting outside. Good job on the squat challenge. Mary, I wasn't sure if she meant Moorish as in a Brit thing but I think she meant More as in yum I'll have some more! Did I get that right Ronne? Ha, this morning I had to move the fresh baked bread DD had made in machine on timer to use my blender and make a green kale smoothie, talk about will power. I wish I had it all day long. I didn't do anything today, back of neck was really bothering me <insert pity party this morning>, I did the shoulders of HR just to test the injection again (I'm so nervous I'm telling them wrong that I want to make sure I have it right). I'm going to try to go into work tomorrow since I don't want to workout and be in pain. Had fun at the gyn (I love the empathy for all I'm going thru).

Found out my sister who is here in CO has having low back disc issues, I broke down and emailed her my neurosurgeon name (hey, do I get a referral discount???) lol Are you sensing a theme with disc problems in my family? Thanks Dad (he had back surgery when he was around 45).

Today was tabatacise. I was good until round 3, which I ended up skipping. I modified #4 and did #5 but slowly (did less reps). I am glad it is over. It is "only" 45 minutes, but she packs a lot of booty-kicking in that time.

Ronne - I like the weight work of 4DS in its entirety, not broken up in the premixes. It might be b/c the premixes don't flow like they do now. You do an exercise then the screen cuts to "get ready to do X" and then you do an exercise and then it cuts again. It was too choppy for me.
Jody - I could use some will power too!

Good Morning,

DH and I went tothe lake yesterday when he got home from work because it was so nice out. Today I will do KCMs Bootcamp Cardio only then the TM and I think I might continue to squat the rest of May but only do 100 and use some wts.

Jody-I could use a whole lot of willpower especially in the evenings.

Yeps, Jody and Lisa you're both right. Moreish means something you want to eat more of. I didn't make it up tho' honest. It's very common here. (Feel free to import it to the US!) ;)
Short workout for me today, KCM SS UB. A bit humid so I got quite sweaty!
Been out for lunch with a friend, nice to catch up.
I don't know if it's the change in the season, but I feel so hungry! In the evenings, I'm just roaming the kitchen looking to fill my face (and not with anything particularly healthy). Honestly, if I didn't work out so regularly I'd be the size of a house!

Roxie - sounds like a nice afternoon. Great to be able to take advantage of the good weather.

Murphy - yes, I see what you mean. The premixes on her latest stuff flow much better now, don't they?

Lisa - you are really making me appreciate my body at the moment. I may not look like a Cathe cast member, but I'm intensely grateful that I'm healthy and able to do what I want. I'm determined not to give myself a hard time about how I look.

Jody - so are you following the May rotation now?

Mary - I will never run a marathon - I don't even want to run to the end of our road!
 
Ha ha you guys, you should see my workout area, it looks like an exercise crime scene. Scattered wts, shredded puzzle mat (cat uses to sharpen claws) sweaty white towel freshly stained with pink that bled into it from my newish sport top. DD came downstairs this morn and found me face down on mat after my plank work. I did CLB w/ 4 risers, bonus core 2 (straightforward, hard, still manageable, love it) and BS bi.

Ronne, I'm week 3 of April rotation (tho it might not look like it since I keep moshing it up but I feel pretty true to it). Tomorrow I'll prob do a sprint run/dips/pistols/pushups at tkd instead of one of the Hiits. How is Trampoline season going? that sounds like so much fun.

Murphy, I don't feel guilty for doing only 20-30 min of cardio if it is interval or tabata style, I feel guilty when I do 45 + min of non metabolic cardio. I think it stresses the body and makes it difficult to build lean muscle. But sometimes I can't help it.

I don't have any evening willpower to share! I'm off to get veggies. Dang this week is too short. Waves to all.
