    UPPER BODY TONING

Hi there! Power Yoga will certainly tone your arms! In fact, maybe working your upper body in a different way than you are used to will help you even more because your body isn't used to it. You're going to get some toned legs too!!!

    Stability Ball Workouts

Cathe uses stablity balls, I believe, in a few of her new workouts. Other than that, most of the good stablity ball videos I know of are pilates inspired... not classic weight/resistance training like Cathe.

    Pilates while traveling

Hi everyone! I'm about to go away for the holidays, and want to continue my pilates matwork that I've been practicing. I now know the exercises well enough that I think I will be able to do them on my own at the hotel's gym, but my problem is how to choose which exercises to do and in what...

Ladies, Muscle and how much is too much?

I think that because each individual person is built sooooooo differently, there is not one answer to this. Personally, on my short frame, I think I'd look much too bulky looking like Cathe, however, I think Cathe looks absolutely gorgeous because her muscles look healthy and right on her...

Anybody buy a stability ball from Sports Authority

Oh boy... yes I bought my first stability ball from Sports Authority and that was a huge mistake. I found that it didn't retain it's air for even 5 minutes. Very dissapointed! I have just ordered a ball from Collage video and hope that will be MUCH better...

    Another Pilates ?

I think if you're a beginner at pilates you should try Stott Pilates. Her new matwork video Level 1: The Secret To Flat Abs is fabulous and very detailed. And no, it doesn't only work your abs! You're arms and legs will also get a workout. Good luck with those awful migraines!!

Yoga or pilates on successive days

Thanks Susan! I'm a dancer, so I'm looking to strengthen my core for my dancing, improve my flexibility, and create long, lean muscles. I had been weight training for a few years, and I know women can't bulk but I still felt like my body wasn't the right shape for dancing. Pilates and Yoga also...

Yoga or pilates on successive days

Hi everyone! I've replaced my weight training with yoga and pilates and I'm thrilled with the results! I've been doing 3-4 days a week but would like to increase to 5. So now I'm wondering whether it's ok to do either yoga or pilates a few days in a row. Thanks!

    Long and Lean

You may also want to try working some pilates into your rotations. I have recently starting pilates and yoga to lengthen out my muscles from so much weight training and I'm happy to say that I feel and I think I look leaner and longer. Even one session a week might be enough to help if you stick...

    Just wondering.....

Like you guys I find that I need about an hour between a meal and a cardio workout at least! But for strength training maybe half an hour. And before yoga or pilates I leave even more than an hour. However, I find if my stomach is too empty or I haven't eaten in a while I have absolutely no...

    Pilates instead of weight training??

RE: NO Thanks for your advice "momincharge"!! You're right... when I had some private pilates sessions we did use light weights, stability balls, and do pushups. Believe me, I felt the burn! I'm finding that the key to the answer to my original question is all in the instructor, video, or types...
