    chin up ???? for Cathe

Re Chin UPs I found that using my metal "over the door" hook from the hardware store, the one that I would hang towels on etc...was perfect. No more slippage from the bands. Then I discovered that taking the handles off and old worn our band and tying some study nautical line through the...

Any ideas of repair for top of step

I bought some Gorilla "tape" which should cover the sliced area very well. It's just a straight separation in the plastic/vinyl running between the solid plastic of the step itself. Thanks for your input! Dianne

Any ideas of repair for top of step

That stuff sounds great. Will it work for a tear, not the edges?

Any ideas of repair for top of step

Does anyone know of a way to repair the plastic ribbed top on the step? I noticed a hairline tear beginning along one of the ribs. So, if anyone has come up with a way to keep their long step after it started this problem, would greatly appreciate any advice. Dianne

    Are you a phone person?

:) So relieved to find out I am not the only person on the face of earth who dislikes the phone! I have a cell phone only for emergencies and necessary conversations! I have coworkers...they go to the gym. I wonder how they find the time...I too, am comfortable with myself, my cats, and DH when...

New Baby and New Grandma need advice

She didn't say I couldn't come by specifically, but the implication was there. I called today, and her MIL was there and she said, do you want me to call you if MIL leaves early? I think I can stop by tomorrow, but I am going to call first. They also asked that not everyone be over at the same...

    Thanks Cathe!

:7 You go girl! I too am 55. It is harder, that is for sure to totally keep up with all her cd's, especially the cardio. I was never great at it anyway, and usually end up lowering my step down to just the four inches! I just monitor my HR, and go from there. At this point, it's either keep...

    This 53-year-old, soon-to-be Granny sends . . .

I second every single thing on this thread! I'm 55, and I absolutely loved doing Low Max. AND...I did it only on the four inch step top. This was to keep may darn HR under 155! I don't get it...I am in reasonably good shape...yet, doing most cathe workouts, I have to use the four inch step, and...

Need a career change. Question for nurses

Well...I have been an RN for 34 years. Yes, you can become a nurse in less than four years. Try your two year collage programs. Depending on what part of the country you apply, you could get in, in a reasonable period of time. There are prerequisites. The difference between an RN and an LVN, to...

RE: Peruse the site..... Hey, I am an RN..the other day I had a classic example of how our insurance industry works..I had a 19 yr old, in shape, male patient, who needed surgery to fix a fractured nose (broken is wierd accident with little sister) Insurance would only pay to fix functional...

What Do You Do For A Living?

Hi! I am an RN. Have been for 33 years...Wow, I get a hot flash just typing that. Anyway... I discovered Cathe about 4 years ago, since doing the Firm. What an amazing difference. I feel sad. My Firm tapes just sit here. There are ONLY so many you can pick from, and if my workout is going to...

why do the people we love the most hurt us the most?

RE: why do the people we love the most hurt us the most... The mother/daughter relationship is a hard one. Harder than dealing with one's father. I think the best advice, and I don't recall where I heard it, was, "you cannot change how the situation is, but, you CAN change the way you choose to...

so, how many still have great personal girlfriends after age 50?

What a mix of responses. Do you suppose there is a age related component to when you feel like you have time for your friends, and they have time for you. I have had some wonderful girlfriends, calling and confiding in me, Then, when they marry...it's like, "Where did they go!" I had a very nice...
