Crazy Strong and Loving it for May 26, 2010

Well I got up and got my workout done! I did KPC (minus that intermediate combo section) plus the abs. I love those abs!

Happy Hump Day!!
 
So today was cardio. My knee is still bothering me so instead of doing Imax 2 (which was on tap), I decided to do something not as high impact. I also wore my knee strap and that helped a lot. I chose Tracey's Step Sweatfest, but I didn't realize it was only a 30 minute workout. I got it from Netflix. Very fun and easy to learn workout. I was really sweating good with this one. Tracey is cute in this workout. Then I did the step only premix from Step, Jump & Pump. Did the warmup but did it all with higher impact moves. Had fun, I love this step workout.

I also decided to take the time and do the Ab Work from Step, Jump & Pump. So that's cool! Had a hard time with the plank work. It's been a while since I've done planks. I felt like a wimp.

Good Morning,

I was going to go for a walk after work but when I got here I realized I forgot to put clothes in my bag so I will go home and do KCMs 30min BC instead of DM. I really need to do some ab work I am like the rest of you and getting lazy in that department.

Well ladies, I'm not crazy strong OR loving it today. I'm a mess. I slept TERRIBLY last night and couldn't get my butt out of bed for a double up of Power and Ride like I had planned. Ugh. I'm still pooped after sleeping for two more hours after re-setting the alarm! I think that's the only time I actually slept last night, to be honest.

So now I'm torn - do I call today a rest day or do I go home and do a weight workout (likely an STS m1)? That was my plan initially since I won't get to another Power class this week and want to get enough weight training in this week. I've been really focused on running since that half marathon is slowly approaching so I want to do that tomorrow and get to Ride on Friday so really, today is it for weights if I want to get it done. I'm thinking I'll just get 'er done tonight but we'll see how this day progresses, it's already a doozy and it's not even 11 yet!

I'll be back later for personals, promise - looks like ya'll are off to a fab start!
 
Heather - Nice workout! I love the abs in that workout, too. I think they are my all time favorie.

Roxie - Ab work just SUCKS! LOL!!! Get her done! :p

Jessica - I agree with Heather, REST! You need to start listening to your body. It's telling you something. Take rest days, it won't kill you or put 50# on you. It is just as important as working out. So REST! :rolleyes:
 
Hi All!

Hot here today, but I got out before the ULTRA heat kicked in and ran at the park for 40 minutes. I sweat my buttocks off, it was 80+ degrees. Definitely didn't have the stamina I usually have. My HR was MAINTAINING in the 160's pretty much the entire run. That's high for me.

Came home and was a GOOD girl and did ab work. 20 minute workout from Brazillian butt Lift called: Tummy Tuck. It's a good workout. Not sure why I'm not liking the abs lately.

Heather: Nice job today!!! KPC is a good one!

Debbie: Nice job for you too, watching out for your knee. Love the Step from SJP too. Isn't that the one with Kung Fu Fighting in it? (wax on, wax off!). Fun! And Hi-5's on the ab work!!

Roxie: Dangnabit, sorry you forgot your walking stuff. At least you'll get something in. But nothing beats being outside, for me anyways.

Jessica: Sounds like your body is needing a rest day. Go to bed early tonight and get up early to get a GOOD workout in. You'll feel so much better if you're into it.

Nora: Hope your legs are feeling better today. can't believe you did ANY Insanity with sore/weak legs. You really push it, and as always, an inspiration!!!

Debbie, Heather, Chris - thank you. I know, I am being really bad about listening to my body lately. This tends to happen when I'm super-stressed at work and I use my workouts as a release mechanism. I will try NOT to workout tonight, but that sorta depends on if this day continues to go downhill at work or not ;) thank you!!

Man, is it smokin' hot out there today. I ran to Target at lunch and could have stayed in there all day!! I got two really cute tops though so it was worth the steamy ride there...:D

Jessica - sounds like you need a rest day but you might feel better later. Listen to your body and your cyber-friends, they always have good advice!!

Chris - are you in Mass? Seems like we always have the same weather!!

Got my CC bike workout in last night. I was one sweaty mess. I even upped my usual resistance settings...:cool: Love a good quad-burn!! Not sure what I'm doing tonight, except getting my hair chopped!!! YES!! Just can't take it anymore. DH keeps asking me why I even bother to grow it. As soon as it starts touching me I want it chopped off. Even my stylist comments on the change in my expression as she's cutting it off...like I'm free!!!

I'll BBL to report my workout. Unless of course my hair comes out so good that I can't possibly mess it up by getting all sweaty and such...:p
 
Melissa - thumbs up on the Target finds! I hear you on the hair cut. I always had super long hair and finally chopped it on Friday evening just before going out with friends (this was about 10yrs ago mind you). I kept going shorter and shorter ever since. I had a pixie cut for about 2 yrs even. There is something very freeing about getting your hair cut short!

I'm super envious of you sporting a pixie cut, Heather. I love that style and I wish I could pull it off!!! Did you see the post on OD from Travis. I think it was last week. She posted pics of her new pixie cut. Adorable!!

It is amazing how much better I feel with short hair. I did have long hair for a while, but it was up in a pony every day because of my "it's touching me" issues!!

So maybe after I get my hair cut tonight I should put on one of my new super-cute Target shirts and go somewhere fun!!! :D

If you are referring to the Target in Woburn, then yes, we could have potentially run into each other!! That would be so hilarious.

So be advised: if you are ever in that Target at lunch time and a crazy chick starts running toward you yelling your name and she's got a short bob (starting tomorrow..;)), don't be alarmed...it's just me!!!

LOLOL. I can totally envision that!! I am going there tomorrow or Friday for sure, I would crack up if we literally ran into eachother there. Reminds me, why have we not yet gotten together given proximity??

Calories burned= 751
Legs felt better today but I still modified so as not to over do it.

Calories burned= 98
This is the ultimate killer ab workout and there are no crunches, amazing! Its tough and its always a battle but I did what I could and feel good about that.

Total calories burned= 849;)

Melissa: Nice job on CC biking! Is there a CC specificallly for the bike or do you just do intervals with the original CC?.. Yes, I am in MA. Western MA, outside of Springfield. In fact, I work in Springfield! So THAT'S why we have the same weather! LOL!.. That's cool you and Jessica live close!

Nora: As always: WOW! Great job today. That ab workout sounds VERY interesting. I remember you saying it's harder than P90X Abs. Which I can't even imagine!
 
Chris - what a small world. I live in north-eastern MA, right on the NH border. I have all of the Cardio Coach workouts and I've used them all on my stationary bike. They are great workouts for the bike. I have done a few of them on an elliptical when I belonged to the gym, but I've never done them on a treadmill.

Jessica - I think us meeting up at least once before the RT is definetly in order. I'd love to meet you!!! Maybe we could have lunch some day or meet after work for a drink some night.

So I decided to do a one body-part per day rotation using CTX...thanks Heather!! Tonight I did All Step/Shoulders. I did workout tonight despite totally ruining my new 'do but it was worth it. I had a great workout and am still feeling quite pleased with myself. So here is my ?: does it matter what order I work out my parts?? I know it's late, so I'll ask this again tomorrow if no one sees it.

Okay, I'm off to have my peanut-butter sandwich...
