Getting It Done - October

Can you believe it's October already? Time is just flying by.

I started us off 'cause it looked like we were still on the old thread.

No wo this morning. Was feeling it in my hip, meaning I aggravated my IT band. And since I was starting PT today, no need to aggravate more. He worked on the leg, loosened up the ITB, and now the hip feels a bit wobbly. Only stretching for a few days, then we'll slowly get back to strength training - which is what I really need to do to get rid of the imbalance - left leg is weaker than the right - guess I wasn't doing to one side what I did to the other. I expect that I can do upper body and core, so I'll be sticking to that plus dog walks.

Belinda - Your DH is being wonderful - appreciate the pampering! I know you are going stir crazy, too. How long 'til you seethe specialist?

Heidi - How exciting that you got to try the new wo's! I didn't order because I wasn't using the ones I already had, though now I'll be a bit jealous.

Time to go stretch some more - Stretch Max #3 with the band sounds good - then early to bed so I can upper body it tomorrow. Have a good one.

I AM SORE! Wow those T back band moves got me good! So my plan today is a run. Was going to do a Zshred but I don't think I can handle any more push-ups, burpees etc just now. ;)

Off to work then a trail run. Maybe my Son will join me this time. :)

Heidi - You must be feeling it today - love your comment about not being able to do any more burpee's! :) Enjoy your run today, especially if your DS joins you.

Belinda - How are you today?

This morning I woke up and boy is the left leg sore. Decided more rest would be good for it, so went back to bed for an hour. No PT tonight, so should easily be able to get in an UBWO. I was planning on UBS for this morning, but I might change to a longer one. And stretching/icing the ITB!

My family doctor(he is an internal medicine doctor) called me yesterday. He asked me to come in and looked me over. He did not believe that it was my back only as my Podiatrist thought. He a He quickly decided that my back was part of the problem and he believed that my foot is also still messed up. The bottom of my foot is killing me, I can hardly walk on it. He gave me two injections directly into my lower lumbar (L5-S1).

He has referred me to Neurology to have a nerve test conducted to determine exactly which disk and whatever else may be wrong. He is also scheduling me for an MRI. I have to wait for the MRI, since I got the cortisone injections. It will show a wrong reading on the MRI. I hope they will figure out soon what's wrong with my foot/back.

He gave me 5 exercises I can do to relieve the pressure in my back/leg. After asking him 5 times if I could do some sort of workouts, he told me I could take a short walk. He said, don't do a power walk, marathon or go for a folks march:p Funny guy! Of course, as long as my foot can handle it. My butt hurt from sitting so much, all I want to do is eat junk. He also gave my strong pain killers. I slept like a baby last night.

Sherry - glad you listen to your body. Is the PT helping you? Keep stretching/icing. Hope you feel better soon.

Heidi - nice job on your DOMS! Yeah, Z workouts has a lot of push ups/, burpees etc . Hate both. Have fun with your run later.

I'm back!

WO done - dog walk plus UBS (yeah, decided to go short). Plus, decided to start the 30 day plank challenge again, so 20 sec planks, all 3 directions.

Belinda - Maybe take up meditation? Sending more (((hugs))) and some patience (tho I don't have a lot of that to give). I know you must be going stir crazy. Are there books that you've been wanting to read but haven't had the time? Or a TS series that everyone said you should see but never saw - preferably a multi-season one? Hope they do get it figures out soon.

Heidi - How was the trail run?

Getting an MRI this afternoon. Glad they speeding things up.

Sherry - thank you! I am taking medication for the pain. I do need to start reading a book, been wanting to do that ....but never have time. My patience are slim :confused: Good job keeping up with your workouts.

Yesterday was busy as usual with work and appt's. Dropped son off at his and went to a trail nearby. Walked as fast as I could for almost 2 miles. Got to the car just as my son called to be picked up! :)

Today was a mix:
X 10 warm up
Z Shred #17:
BUY-IN: 2 minutes of Jump Rope [High-Knees]
Do following exercises 3X through:
• 10 HR Push-Ups [Hand-Release: you go all the way to the ground and rest, then you push-up!]
• 10 Ab Splitters [up to touch your toes, open your legs, then touch your ankles]
• 10 Burpees
• 10 Weighted Squats (15#DBs)
• 20 Mountain Climbers
BUY-OUT: 2 Minutes of Jump Rope [High Knees] [Must complete these 2 minutes, then your workout is complete!]
Back to X 10 for low impact portion and stretch. DONE!

Now where is my mop crew to clean up these puddles? LOL!

Belinda - Glad they are speeding things up for you! How soon will you get the MRI results?

Heidi - Great wo today! Was that online or a DVD? You must be getting in fabulous shape with these wo's. Nice that you made it back to the car just in time to pick up your son.

Today was another PT session for me. Leg/hip feel great! Yesterday I couldn't pop ibuprofen fast enough - today no need. Course, after he worked on it tonight, it's a bit tender, but nothing like the other day. He gave me plenty of stretches and exercises to do, so that will be my LBWO's.

When I got home, I did do the planks - 30 sec each side.

Sherry: Sounds like the PT sessions are paying off already! :) Have fun planking tonight! HEHE

The workouts I do are online for Z. Most of them anyway. I like them a lot and love that fact that you can workout with her. Previous online workouts you only saw a small glimpse of the routine to give you an idea of what to do.

I am getting better on the jump rope...I think! LOL! I make it a full 30sec before I trip up. ;)


Today was a very hectic stressful day of company bills and shipments to be sent out ASAP.

So this is my rest day. I think I have done enough this week. :)

Tomorrow I will do a full body weight workout. Most likely STS total body.

Belinda: How are things going? Any news on the MRI? Hang in there! Your on your way to getting well soon!

Was busy yesterday with house stuff. My Aunt called me in the afternoon to let me know she was admitted to the hospital. That was the rest of my day...

Planning on closing the pool today but it is currently raining. :/

This is homecoming weekend for the kids, so kind of crazy around here.

Friday I went straight from work to the parade, tailgate party and football game.

Yesterday they had a cross country meet, then home to get ready for the dance. Just the little bit of light jogging during the meet had my IT in a bit of hurt last night.

Today's plan, along with the usual house stuff, is to keep doing my PT exercises and also fit in an UBWO.

Heidi - Hope your aunt is ok. Raining here, too, so no outside work for us. Did you get in that total body wo?

Belinda - How's your resting going? Do you have MRI results yet?

I did get in my UBWO yesterday - TBTS - felt the stiffness this morning. Also did planks - really feeling those side ones.

Today I have PT, so that will be my LBWO.

What are your plans today?

Sorry for not checking in, I have a nasty cold:confused: Got the results this morning, my MRI didn't show anything wrong with my back:D Which is good news! My foot on the other hand still hurts:confused: I think, something happened when I got the 3rd cortisone shot in my foot for my PF/heal spur. Right after I got the shot, I experience all this pain my my foot?

I am not sure, if I should start STS again. This week would be M3 Week 1? I only missed Meso 2, week 4? Or should I start Meso 2 again?

I will be back later and catch up on personals.
 
Hallo again,

I am still not clear to work out, wishful thinking! So no heavy weight training until they figure out what's wrong with my foot I decided to do Jessica's Breath, Stretch and Relax. I guess, I will keep things easy, lot's of stretching and abs.

Sherry - great job yesterday. Have fun with your PT today. My doc is sending me to PT soon too.

Heidi - how is your aunt doing? Good job with your workout, girl!

Hi all!

Last night was PT again. Worked out the remianing tightness in the leg and added on to the exercise regime. I'll post it later when I have time to type it up. That will be tonight's LBWO, plus a dog walk. He also wants me to try a very easy jog to see what's going on when I go back tomorrow.

Belinda - Wonderful that they didn't find anything major! Stick with the stretching and relaxing - that might be just what it needs? Start a long book yet?

Heidi - Yep, crazy as always. Too much ogin gon, but have to stick with my PT exercises at a minimum.

Hi girls,

Just a quick update: I just come from the doctors. I have this nasty cough since Monday, I am also breathing kinda hard and I have wheezing in my chest:( On top with everything else that's going on right now, I caught Pneumonia:(:( The radiologist told me they seeing lots of cases lately. It's going around:mad: I don't have a fever, which is a good thing. Just coughing my brains out and my chest hurt.I am on antibiotic, cough syrup with Codeine and an inhaler I have to use every 4 hours. I am not even gonna try to workout, until I feel 100% better. I am falling apart:(

Tuesday I have an appointment with the Neurology. Hopefully they will figure out what's wrong with my foot. I had my share off being sick this year, I had enough.
