I'm looking to make some dietary changes and this peaked my interest. Can someone offer guidance here since I have no clue where to go from the basic idea?
Hi Sue, from somebody who hates breakfast foods I found that I really like my protein shake for breakfast now after I work out.
I use Carbsolutions Protein Vanilla Powder (2 scoops)
in 16 oz. of water
1-2 bananas
wheat germ(2 Tbps)
some raspberries and blueberries
sometimes I throw in some blackberries
Blend in a blender with crushed ice (or just really cold water) and drink!! I have this every morning. 24 g of protein (with wheat germ) and low on carbs.
I usually hate milkshakes but this one is great and I really enjoy drinking it. Of course it doesn't have milk and I do hate milk. That is why I like this because it uses water instead and I am not a yogurt person either.
Don't know if that will help you any, but I like it and you can find the Carbsolutions powder at Wal-Mart.
The protein shake I have been having lately is:
1 scoop of Designer Whey-Vanilla
6 oz of yogurt...mine has been Blue Bunny lite-blueberry
6 oz of frozen berries
4 oz of water
ice
mix all together...very good and filling. I also have been eating about 12 almonds to add some good fat to my breakfast.
