Hi all,

Today is a run and some yoga. I can't wait to see how I feel running in the cooler weather.

Have a fabulous day!

Tracy

Debra - Try to keep your elbows close to your sides when you do the yoga pushups. I think that helps to keep them from getting strained. I flirt with the same elbow pain now too. It stinks to get old. DH's GF is probably 5'5" and must weight at least 250. It is not good. We went out to eat last night for her Bday and what did she order for an appetiser? Fried cheese................

Tracy

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is doing well. I am soooooo happy that the weather has finally gotten a little cooler here....The lows were down in the 40s last night...a good thing! It's nice and chilly in the house...I have on one of my new sweatshirts I got from Chapel Hill the other day. I am planning on doing Kenpo today. DD is spending the afternoon and evening with my mom so I am a free woman all day! I am heading out to a great seafood dinner tonight...and then to go see a band play at a local hangout. All kinds of adult fun.

Tracy...I will watch the elbow...I think it was the holding of the down dogs for so long that started it...and then it just tweaked a bit during the push ups. Wow...GF is definitely on the chunky side. Even at my heaviest I was never over 150 (except when I was pregnant)! Nice of you guys to take her out for her bday, though. I am assuming she got cake and ice cream to go with the fried cheese...I know it must take some will power on your part to keep your mouth closed!

Wendy...So glad to see your shining face this morning! Or last night, I guess. Yes...You can do Thai massage and I will do all the physical therapy and we can have our own business together so that you can fund DD's dentist bills. Sorry it has been such a hectic week for you...but there is always drama to be had when you have so many kids...LOL! I am a bit old for the boys at Chapel Hill..in fact, now that I think about it, I didn't even look at the the cute frat boys while I was there. So do you start recovery next week? I certainly didn't lose any weight during my recovery week...for some reason I have been eating like a horse lately, but I have seen some nice muscle definition pop up this week. Always a good thing!

Okay...I guess that is it for me now. I caught up with everyone else on my last night's post. Waving to all of the missing Xers! Hope everything is okay is your workout worlds. I may go take a nap before I do Kenpo. Oh, to have a life of leisure!

Good Morning:)

Its’ Friday finally :) is it 4:30 yet can you tell I don’t feel like working today;(

No PM workout last night, went to BJ’s as plan, I love BJ's and Sams Club. We over spent but hey food was needed.

Up bright and early this morning cooked, cleaned and worked out;)

I did Slow Heavy tri’s & bi’s and MIS tri my upper body is cooked. Tonight, NO plans so going to finish workout, need to do MIS biceps and S&H abs, that’s it for me. I ran out of time hm… cleaning and cooking took up 30 minutes of me time ARGH.....it was needed also.

I tell you the Slow & Heavy Series is one of Cathe’s best workouts, feeling it real good.

Okay enough chit chat ttyl

Good morning,
Today was Jari Love's GR1000, most of anyway. DH's work schedule in the morning is a little later than before so I hate cutting into his morning news time, so gave him an extra 10 minutes to watch before I started the DVD. Golf class was fun last night and the weather was better. I did okay, not great. Have grocery shopping, cleaning and cooking after work tonite (probably sneak a leetle nap in somewhere there I'm sure) to get ready for the celebration tomorrow. Celebration is for one DS's birthday and the other DS's completion of the 3 year apprenticeship for Lineman.

Amy, sure hope you enjoyed the pizza and wine! I haven't had pizza in a long time, but I have had wine more recently :)

Teddygirl, I like the steel cut oats okay, but I tend to forget about them on the stove and they boil over. They weren't worth the extra time for me, though the chewiness was okay. I have to keep PB out of the house or I'll just start taking a little more here, little more there.

Sandra, mmmmm, the pumpkin spice smoothie sounds wonderful. Let us know how it is, okay? Yes, all those medievel orthodontic devices were awful, awful! However, I still get lots of compliments on my teeth after all these years so guess it was worth it. I do better and better with Christi's choreography the longer I do it. Yes, I do the Movemaster for some of the moves if I'm having trouble. They are very helpful as they get slowed down quite a bit and she has her back to you. I can't tell you where tri-tip comes from, but it's beef for sure, very popular here in California I know. I think we will have around 20-25 people here Saturday afternoon/evening. Should be lots and lots of fun. I just need to clean this filthy house. I have been a real slacker with the housework during the week. I'll be sure and save you a nice thick slice of tri-tip. My DH is a great BBQer, thankfully!

Nicole, please don't push the back situation, please!!! Please, please listen to Tracy. I know the feeling of aches and pains. My left shoulder was a little achey last night for some reason. Can't remember doing anything to it. I was very careful this morning. The elbow is some better, but I have a feeling it's going to take some time to get better, and probably require that I quit doing things I want to do. Sigh. What did you do to your knee? Don't remember anything about an injury there.

Tracy, yep, the LPGA tour will probably take up most of my next year LOL! I do think I want to pursue lessons in the spring or even this winter if I can. We don't have a golf pro at this little golf course, but I have someone in mind to learn from that offered to teach me. I like his style and some of the stuff he talks about so I'll give him a try when the college class is over (1st week in November). I hope you have a great run today, bet you do like the cooler weather. I like riding in cool but not cold weather.

Debra, bet your DD is cute in her outfit. Re: the tooth guard, bet clarinet playing was challenging. I never took an instrument because of my braces. Wish I had now, though I did learn to play chords on the guitar and sing. I need to get back on the bike more regularly again. If the weather is decent after work, I will do a short ride before hitting the grocery store. Once the time change happens, no more bike rides after work, then only the weekend group ride. Of course, there is always the Garage Boys. Enjoy your evening tonite!!! Sounds like a great time. I'd trade cleaning house with you in a heartbeat.

Wendy, hope you start feeling better soon. Seems like you are in the fast lane a lot, but then again, that may very well be your comfort zone. I haven't missed any golf classes yet, but next week's weather is a little iffier. Are you over your cold yet? I've been feeling frumpier lately, actually the last few months. What's up with that? Finally acting my age for a change? Must....fight....it....

Better get ready for work now,

Jeanette

Jeanette: What I do right before working out, add a little cold water in my pot then add 1/2c steel oats, turn fire down low, let cook for 10 or 15 minutes. I use to forget about them come back into my kitchen Oats everywhere. I may end up working only a 1/2 day don't feel like being here.

Morning Xers,

Rotation: LGI8 Week5/Day2
Workout: Cardio Coach #3 / Total Body Stretching Basic Stretch

My Fair Lady was a wonderful performance. We didn't get home until 11:30 last night, but that is ok. Oldest DD had stars in her eyes. She loved it, and so did I. The dresses and hats where so beautiful. Oldest DD made the comment of "Why don't women where such pretty clothes anymore". Of course my DD wants to go into fashion. So you know why she loves the clothes. :D :D :D The gentleman who played the Professor sounded just like Rex Harrision from the movie version. I really enjoyed the performance of the gentleman who played Eliza's father. He was so funny. Oh and my MIL really need to get her hearing checked. x( This is what I heard "Do you hear a reverberation" Ummm No! Maybe I need to get my hearing checked. I have been telling my DH that his Mom needs to get it checked, and he agrees with me. But how do you bring a subject like that up?

Tracy, Hope your run is a good one. Some days running in cooler weather is great, but when it is too cold then it can be misserable.

Debra, Have a great time with Kenpo. Just a great workout. Glad you are going to be able to enjoy an evening of adult time. :D It seems like this year is the first year that DH and I have been able to do the same. When the children finally get old enough that they are able to stay on there own for a while. :D

TG, I don't blame you for wanting the time to go by. :D I would love to leave early today also. I agree with you about the SH series. I like it for the upper body. I'm not to keen on the legs portion though. But then she has other workouts that I like for that. :) Did you see my response about the Kimberly Spreen and Janis Saffel workouts. KS is the best of the ones you had listed. I see you had pumpkin cookies. I just love pumpkin. :9 I was planning on making a batch of pumpkin cookies this weekend.

Jeanette, Oh that is right you have the BBQ this weekend. It looks to be a good time. Don't wear yourself too much. And with all that you have to do a little nap would be a good thing. :D

Amy, How was your "vacation" meal last night. Pizza and Wine is a winner in my book. :9 Ok I think I need to eat something because everything is sounding so yummy to me. :7

Sandra, As you can see from the post above the theatah was a great time. But maybe not for all of us. My DH's niece didn't seem to enjoy herself. She made a comment to her mother that she didn't understand what was going on. I think she was having a problem understanding the accent. She didn't like A Christmas Carol either. Probably for the same reason. I think the next time I want to see a show that involves Old English, I will keep it to myself and go with DH and the girls. ;-)

Nicole, Take care of that back. Sounds like you are in some pain. Have a great time at the wedding. Watch all the dancing.

Wendy, I haven't actually done the full body workout yet. :7 I don't know why I haven't tried that one yet. Probably thought it would end up killing me or something. Yes I did watch Top Chef. I actually was hoping that Dale would win, after he said that he lost his inspiration to cook. But am happy for Hung. He was a little full of himself at times, but he could cook up a strom. :D I will have to check out Anthony's blog. Overall I thought it was a good season.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Personal****************

Laurie: I ordered Kick It that one reminds me of Strike Zone, I assumed Total Cardio Kicks would be too easy. I’m going to order Kimberly Spreen that workout looks like fun. I didn’t order it yesterday, good thing I didn’t, dentist office called yesterday reminding me of 9:30am appt tomorrow, good thing she called or else, I totally forgot about it. Any who, they are going to want $$$$$$ so the $100 bucks I thought I had, I don’t have, duh! Yesterday, I did buy me a little gift for myself, Kimora Simmons Baby Phat Goddess Perfume, I been eyeing for awhile. I tell you, if it's not one thing it’s two and sometimes threex(

Sandra: True that :) I eat better living alone too, It is VERY hard when you have children and hubby, been there. I remember when my kids were little, okay I do this now when GK come to visit, what they don’t eat, I find myself, before thinking, stuffing what they didn't eat in me big mouth :9 Eventually it’s going to taper a bit, I know, I’m just going through the Happy, excited, and In love mode with you know who;)

Back with more of yesterday’s personals…………

Debra: ROFLOL yoooouuuuuuuu crazy woman. Oooh that’s why my hips and booty is getting wider and here I thought it was because me eating too much junk foods}( I just peeked at CTX upper body Wow we I may attempt that one Sunday. Have a great time out.

Tracey: Thanks for the 411, you are right. Today, I don’t feel as hungry after I finished my workout this morning, immediately had 2 Tbsp on liquid protein and for breakfast 3 pancakes, 3 egg whites and milk, still haven't eaten or did any munching :9 and it's lunch time.

Nicole: don't sweat it momma, your not the only one falling apart, getting older sucks, not really, but life and gravity does take a toll on you. Why not try rubbing a little Ben Gay or maybe something stronger on your back, soak in hot tub and relax for today, just me .02cent. Take Care!

Wendy: next time pop some popcorn you'll enjoy the previews more:+ BBC total body only thing I can think of hm.......that'd be the music, yeah, the music, SUCKS......... same songs, come on now, I can understand if they played the same song through out one DVD but all five, that's wicked}( However, am going to put ONE BBC w/o on my rotation next week, I procrastinate too much, at least try it, right :D

Good Afternoon Ladies!

You won't believe what I did!!!!!! Woke up, took some Sudafed and Advil, laid down to nurse my throbbing head, pulled myself together, eventually got the girls ready for the doctor appointment, raced to get there in time, and found out her appointment isn't until next week!!!!!!!!!!!!! :7 I make my life harder than need be!

Well, I'm off to beg Phil to take my place tonight at the fall party and then do something productive. Crossing all my moveable joints that he says yes!

Be back later for personals!
Wendy

Low Max- Intervals Only & Stretch Max

I took it really easy with the cardio today as not to further upset my back. I just might take tomorrow off......gasp! My brother's wedding isn't until 4:00 so I can clean a bit before I go. As far as my knee goes, I think I either have a torn muniscis or a piece of cartilage is stuck under my patella:( It hurts when I do yoga or put pressure on it. I tell you I feel like I'm 31 going on 90:p I am going to the doctor next week to get her opinion.

TracyX, Sorry you have to watch DS's GF go through that. He must really love her. She is lucky to have you to set her straight when she to be.

JeanetteX, Have a ball at the BBQ! I love tri-tip! Costco has really great marinated tri-tip:9 How fun to all get together and celebrate two great sons:) I'm glad you enjoyed golf last night. Is it getting chilly there? It sure is cold here today:p Did you ever get an MRI on the elbow or are you just taking it easy until it heals? I think I have an MRI in my future.

Anointed, A hot bath and nap sounds good! I should try that:) How are things going with you? Is Ted still spoiling you to bits? Glad you're getting your workouts in. You workout so hard I'm sure missing your PM workout won't kill you;)

DebraX, You should go to the spa for the day! How fun to be free as a bird. My DH is going to Iowa and Kansas for two weeks and a day and I am looking forward to taking it easy on cleaning and cooking:D I already have a clean eating menu on tap for his absence. The boys are good about eating what I give them but DH is a bit pickier:p

LaurieXX, Sounds like you had a nice time at My Fair Lady. I haven't been to a show since I saw Phantom of the Opera in 1999:( I am really looking forward to the wedding just so I can relax.

WendyX, Sure hope you can convince Phil to sub for you tonight. You sound plain worn out! Maybe you should take a break wit me tomorrow. I say that hoping I actually will:p How does Phil feel about teaching the girls while you're gone? I bet it's a little daunting.

Hi Swifty, Amy, Carol, Lea, Cheryl, Sandra and Traci-X if you pop in:)

Nicole

Nicole: oh my, I feel so bad for you, by all means go see your doctor:) What is wrong with our group? are we slowly falling apart ;( Have a wonderful time celebrating your brother's joyous occasion:) :)

My sister just asked me to ride with her to the Mall, Oh boy, her and those eye lashes. I brought a new cell phone 10 days ago, need to take it back, her timing is so perfect, cuz I was going tomorrow.

Tonight, going to hang out with Ted he has already called asking what my plans are for this evening, better call and explain new plans. Anywho, when I get back I'm all his:p I'm going to pop some popcorn, brought a few boxes of the Kettle Corn ooh we I love this popcorn, it's the bests thing since slice bread lol. If I don't talk to you guys this evening Have a wonderful, wonderful evening:)

Hi all,

I had a nice longer fast (for me, dogs were cantering) run and then magically hips. I ran on the flat instead of hills. The cool weather felt so good.

Teddygirl - I'm glad the the morning protein helped. It was like a revelation for me. Enjoy the Kettle Corn, I love the salty/sweet.

Nicole - PLEASE take a day OR TWO off. If you are so worried about taking a day off, go walk or cut your calories. It will not hurt you to take even two weeks off. I've done it when we've gone on vacation and I always come back stronger. I know, it is a tough mental hurdle to get over.

Debra - GF's weight is difficult to ignore, but I try because she is a really sweet girl. I think she has had a difficult childhood and the result is weight. Her mother rarely cooks and so when they do eat together they eat out. She already has some weight related health issues and that is only going to get worse.

I'll catch up with everyone else tomorrow.

Tracy

Hello, ladies!

The pizza and wine was excellent!! The pizza is a specialty place where they hearth bake the stuff and I chose a lovely merlot to accompany it! I was very proud of myself because just 3 months ago, I would have wolfed down 4-5 pieces before feeling full and last night, I was comfortable with 2! No appetizers, and great conversation!

Tonight was NROL Break in program B, with deadlifts, step-ups, cable pull downs (substituted with inverted rows), single shoulder DB press and reverse crunches. It wasn't a long routine, but it sure kicked my booty!!! I will alternate between routine A and B for a couple of weeks before starting the Fat Loss 1 routine. I *know* that's going to kick me!!!

Wendy- Sorry to hear your not feeling well, I hope that it goes away soon!!!

Just wanted to stop in and check on everyone. I hope that you all have a good weekend!!!
