Xer.......Motivating Monday.........................

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

Bear with me ladies. There is just no way I can catch up on personals. Today is a new day. I've tried keeping up with y'all the past week. Unless I can dredge up the short term memory of my mind, I'll focus on today's personals.

For those who asked, Dd did well today at the dentist. Now that her two front teeth have fully grown in, the dentist rebonded them again to appear more normal in shape. I'm nervously awaiting the day when they tell me it's time to pull them all out (except her two front teeth) and use dentures until her jaw is mature enough for implants.:-( She wasn't allowed to eat until 1:00. So, she was starving. She ended up eating an entire Big Mac Meal at McDonalds!}( No, milkshakes Sandra. She can make her own tonight.

As for the postman... Well, MIL woke up the next morning worried that she would be turned into the "Beautification Committee" for having sidewalk chalk on the curb. She lives in a retirement community where people have nothing to do but make sure their neighbors aren't breaking any beautification rules like leaving their garage doors open while they're inside their homes. Important stuff! Anyhow, she went outside at 7:30 in the morning with a bucket of water and broom to scrub off the chalk. Apparently, she didn't do a very good job. I saw one of her neighbors walking her dog stop right in front of her house and STARE at the curb!!!:7 MIL is holding her breath for a warning letter or fine. Anyhow, when the postman came to deliver the mail, I greeted him and asked him how he liked my artistic endeavours. LOL He was so flabbergasted, he just uttered, "Um, thanks," before driving hastily away.:p

Looks like tonight's workout calls for KB and legs. Whooo Hoooo I've been wanting to do that one all the way through for some time! Right after I finish personals and homeschool math, I'll get busy with it.

Traci: BC is one of your faves? I'm with Debra, I have to be in the mood for jumping around like I'm in P.E. class. Actually, I never did work hard in gym class. I was afraid I'd look like my gym teacher.:eek: :p :7 Did you get anything fun from Target? The Discovery Store also sells fun toys.

Carol: How do you break a monitor without hitting someone over the head with it? :p I ended up getting accidental insurance on my laptop just in case I feel the need to do that to anyone.}( Seriously, if someone tries to steal it off me, I plan on smashing it on the ground, jump up and down on it, and ask if they still want it. I can't get a replacement if they actually steal it, now can I?:+ How's science and history coming along? You're using CKEB and MOH Vol.1 right? My gf borrowed a mini library of biology books from me to use with CKEB. We're enjoying SOTW Vol.2 for the twins and MOH Vol.2 for eldest dd. I'm waiting to get back before we finish A Child's Geography: Explore His Earth.

Laurie: UGH! You have black walnuts too! We have a HUGE Black Walnut tree in our yard between the house and road. The teenagers used to gather all the walnuts and play "war" with them. Cars drive over them and smash black gunk all over the roads. Squirrels consider our attic the perfect distance for storing them. We should cut it down. But, it looks so majestic next to our farmhouse. LOL on dreading Dreya. She can't be so perfect. I did spot her cellulite in one of the workouts. Was it in L&B or CS? I'll have to remind myself to look for it next round.

Lea: How did BM2 affect you physically? Was it stomach or headache pains? Don't be so hard on yourself. You're getting back in the game. You've got the eating part conquered! And, you look so good!:) Oh, I'm leaving on the 21st of Nov. I'll be back home 2 months later. I'll still drop by to check up on y'all.

Debra: Good for you! Yeah, XDH may rant and rave, but he needs to know and will get used to it. He has no choice. Are you relieved to get that off your chest!

Tracy: My FIL had a Specialized bike. Phil will probably end up with it as it's a comfort bike (big seat, shock absorbers). He doesn't ride often. If he decides to get into riding, he'll buy a road or mountain bike.

Jeanette: Have fun tonight with the priest!:+ The only reason I enjoy the time change is because I don't work and like to sleep in. Give me a couple of days and I'll wish it was spring again.:7 I have to go back and see what all you bought! Missed that post! I'll live vicariously through your shopping sprees and spa days.

Tess: Did you jump ship from our check-in already? Did you get your Day 1 pictures taken? What do you think about Tony now? I didn't like him at first. But, after a few days, he grew on me. LOL

Nicole: Is dh home yet? Did he get a sugar hangover too? Or does he avoid most sugary foods like mine? I used to HATE it when dh and I were first dating. He never ate dessert or cereal!!! I couldn't understand how a person could live like that!:7

Sandra: LOL I guess you got me! I do talk to my kids all day. However, it's not the deep, meaningful conversations. Sure, we discuss Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and such during history. But, it's more like this:
Me: Spell "gave". Spelling gave me a headache yesterday. Gave.
dd#2: ggggAf
Me: Say /g//A//V/. Use your voice box for the last sound.
dds: gggAAAAVVVVVV gave
Me: Good! What's the first sound you hear?
dd#2 as she writes the first sound: /g/
Me: Okay, say the word slowly and write down the sounds you hear.
dd#2 writes V next: gg...A...V...
Me: Okay. Remember every syllable needs a vowel. What vowel sound do you hear in the word gAve?
dd#2 writes an a and says: gAf
Me: Say the word again normally. Remember my sentence?
dd#2: no
Me: Never mind, say "gAv".
Me watching her write down the third letter: Do you hear /s/ in the word "gaVe".
dd#2 about to lose it: no.
Me losing it: Then why did you write an s?!?!?!?!
I'm sure if dd had a toy phone, she'd hang up on me!:p :7 sigh

ROFL: I vote for rebound!!!! Hey, Debra, What do you think?
You think you're bad? I wouldn't have jumped up and down on Debra's futon or mattress. Sandra! Don't you know I don't believe in grades at this age. I believe they were meant to measure a child's understanding of a particular concept. Since everything is pretty much one on one, I know when they don't "get" it. Hence the reason, gave is on tomorrow's spelling list.:7

TG: OMW! What ever made you and your sister think to open a home for pregnant girls? I think it's wonderful, but very difficult. You and your sister must be strong women to support girls without much or any support.

I've played a little to long. I'll be back after I finish math and LIS.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

UGH! Looks like plans have changed. Dd just popped out the lens in her glasses. Gotta go to pay someone to replace the lens ASAP

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

My goodness the length of these personals today! I'll never surpass what has been done:)

I am starting dinner so I have to be quick.

Traci-X, Thanks for the heads up on AC. How exciting. The end of the week will not come fast enough.My favorite part of your rotation is the four days of stretching and yoga. Yoga is so good and I'm glad your getting it in there. I will enjoy my alone time but will be longing for my DH return:)

Debra, I'm glad to hear you got the attorney stuff off your chest. I bet that felt good. Ribs?:9 You seem to be seeing a lot of your "friend". Before too long you'll have to post a picture of you two;) It's always nice to put a face with a name.....oh, we don't know his name:) DH is hunting deer with my BIL and cousin. They are very serious hunters. My DH isn't quite as serious as they are but he really enjoys himself. I was thinking of getting that Callanetics, but is it a no?

Tracy, Looks like it's going to be you and the elliptical, huh? I am having a hard time adjusting to the time change too. I like it when it's light out when I wake up but the dark early I don't like. The good thing is we eat dinner earlier. I sleep better if my food has digested. How is your DS's girlfriend doing? Is she making any progress at eating btter?

I must go eat. I'll be back for the rest,

Nicole

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

I forgot Pearle Vision doesn't charge anything for fixing glasses bought elsewhere. It was so nice, I decided to buy eldest dd a second pair of glasses. All children's glasses were 50% off. Cool. If I went through my vision plan, I'd spend ~ $30 less, but she wouldn't have them back before we left. Approved labs take their sweet ole time with us po folk.

I had to drive home, find the script, drive back and pay for them. My car will empty like Sandra's soon.

Anyhoo.... I'm digesting before kicking it with Cathe.

TRACI! OMW! You're starting the X the day after Thanksgiving?!?!?!! Cool!!!! I plan on starting the X then too.... depending how long it takes me to get over jet lag. Come to think of it, that should put me back on working out during normal hours. Ha-Ha. Will you continue if your workout partner decides to be a drop-out? I should find myself a workout partner. Hey! Maybe, I can talk the CA to do an X round with us! }( Um, when is TTOM starting again? It feels like it's close. But, it doesn't seem long enough ago. Thought I'd ask for an update.LOL

Sandra: Typo correction: I meant to say, I WOULD HAVE jumped up and down on Debra's bed, and woke her up to do some BC with me!}(

Okay, best go put on some workout clothes.

Talk later,
Wendy

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

Oh, look Nicole snuck in on me. Um, Nic, Why does your Meez has that come hither look on her face while she's sitting in a Grandpa chair?

Wendy

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

OMG!!!!! I just received my yoga dvd's today and did Eionn's quickie(HA HA). I looooooove it. I feel so good. I have to do Magically Hips on Wednesday. Tomorrow I plan on doing Shiva. Happy days are here again!!!

Wendy - Get your mind out of the gutter girlfriend!!;-) Ok, I had the same thought when I saw Miss Nicole's Meeze too. She must be telling us something. LOL on the mailman. You have some balls that is for sure. After doing BM2 I had both the headache and the stomach ache, all day!! I will never do that again. Well....until I get into better shape at least.

Nicole - So...what are you trying to tell us??}( Hope that dinner was great.

Sandra - I am so into the Eionn porn now!!

Debra - Cute pictures.

TG - Good for you and your sister. What a great thing to do.

Traci - YAY on Cathe!! Thanks.

Time for dinner. Talk to you soon.

Lea

RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................

Okay...back to say hello....and rave for a bit about my XDH...So...not only is he dating, he has a "girlfriend"! A mutual friend of ours told me how he raved about how the all Russian women looked like models and how they fawn all over him and treat him like a prince! And this wasn't told to me, but I am sure they do lots of unmentionable things too! So...let me say...I wish him every happiness...and there is no reason for him not to date....but what happened in the past couple of weeks to all the love and heartache that was expressed about our impending divorce??? For me, I am sure it is a blessing that he has somewhere else to focus his energies...but WTF??? I am sure my anger is a bit misplaced...but after all he has put me through lately, I just wasn't expecting this so soon. Help me put this into perspective ladies...I just don't know what to do with this information. I don't feel hurt as much as angry. I feel like he was lying to me for the past however many months...I know logically it is a good thing to know this now. At least it assuages any lingering guilt I may have been having! Thanks for listening...and any comments would be appreciated.

***************personals***************

~~~~Jeanette~~~~ So glad you had a nice time out with DH and the girls on the Rhino. I am sure you can work your feminine wiles on DH to get your tiling project done. How is your priest friend? Hope you guys had a good game together today. I promise to do BC tomorrow. I have yoga on Wednesday morning and then I am spending time with my boy that afternoon before I pick up DD...So I must get it done tomorrow! I can surely follow a rotation for a week...LOL! Glad the elbow is continuing to heal.
~~~~~Lea~~~~ So what is Seane like? I didn't realize the instuctor was a girl until your post...Where did you get your dvd? How are your boys? All over their colds, etc??? Are you still eating raw only? I have such great respect for your dedication.

~~~~Nicole~~~~ So is the Holy Yoga a dvd? I don't know why I got the impression it was a book. Love the new meez...very relaxing....My new boy's name is Larry...but I like "boy toy" better...LOL! I will try to get a picture of him in the near future. It's not so much that callanetics is a "no"...it just moves really slow...and I think you do most of the same exercises and stretches in Squeeze...and Squeeze is a lot more fun. So if you don't have Squeeze, I would get that before I got callanetics.
~~~~Sandra~~~~~ I watched "28 Weeks Later" with my boy toy...which is my favorite term so far!! I actually call him "My Cute Boy" to my friends! I guess if I had to deal with all the poop in your house I wouldn't want to watch horror movies either. I like the sweatpant and hoodie idea...I am sure that suits your current lifestyle just fine. I need cute jeans to wear out on dates! Did I read correctly that your DD was supposed to have a sleepover with a boy? Isn't she a bit young for that??? All of my diva/drama queen's friends think I am the "cool mom" since I joke around with them. Her teacher at her conservative Southern private school has no idea what to think of me...LOL! I am sure there are lots of moms still in their jammies in the carpool....It's not like I'm in a teddy or anything...I have on sweatpants and a sweatshirt...with my woolie crocs! And just for the record...I only snore when I have a cold. My DD still doesn't know her own strength...she is rougher than she means to be.

~~~~Teddygirl~~~ Waving as you fly by...And no checkin tomorrow...isn't tomorrow Tuesday? Are you out of pocket tomorrow?
~~~Traci~~~~I will print out your rotation and join in another week. I am going to follow Cathe (kind of...lol) for another week. I just want to get all of the new workouts down so that I can add them in when I want to. I'll check out AC after I get done with my long winded post.

~~~~Wendy~~~~ Your poor baby! What a big girl to handle all of the nastiness at the dentist! Do you really think she will have to have dentures for a while?? Poor thing! I am sure you will enjoy KB...I'll say again...Do the arm drills twice...They are great for the arms and abs and keep your heartrate up a bit longer. LOL about the postman...I guess you proved your point! Dreya's cellulite is in LB, in case you needed to look it up...LOL! You cracked me up on your post to Sandra...The whole exchange with your DD is exactly why I do not have the patience to homeschool! And I think "boy toy" is the right term right now for my current man....If it becomes more serious, then I will let you all know.
Hope everyone has a great evening...I have to go to the Social Security office tomorrow to get my card changed to my married name...even though I am going to be divorced in less than a year...Isn't this a great country???
RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................
I'm back!
Debra, Thanks for giving your "boy toy" a name:) Holy Yoga is a DVD.
Wendy, LOL, I'm glad you showed that mailman who's boss:D Yes, my sugar hangover is gone, thank goodness. My DS's are still a little buggy but I think it's a combo of too much sugar and no daddy. My DH doesn't have a big sweet tooth either. That is my weakness so we compliment each other well:) I don't even homeschool my boys and our conversations sound strangely like yours. I need to remember Pearl Vision for my DS's next pair of glasses. The meez girl is anxiously awaiting the return of her DH, is that better?}(
Teddygirl, Low Max is a great DVD. I may have to pull that one out soon. What a big heart to have a shelter for pregnant moms. I hope it will work one day. You sound a bit busy for it now.
Carol, How was the 4DS Kickbox? I am anxious to try it in a week or so.
Laurie, I have yet to try Leaner Legs. How is it? Snow you say? Is that the white cold stuff that falls from the sky?;) It is cooling off here but that just means upper 70's. So it's quite beautiful! I hope your feeling better. It was nice of you not to share your cold with others:)
Lea, BM2 is a tough one, especially when you're not feeling good. Are you feeling better now? I did yoga today and it felt delightful! I really like my new one. It has a gentle series and it is so relaxing and really takes away my stress. The meez is begging my DH to get home quick}(
Jeanette, Sounds like you had a nice night with DH and had a beautiful view. You and Latrese must have been thinking the same thing with your workouts today. I need to pull out Cardio Collectibles and do it on Wednesday. I miss Christi's dancy moves. Hey, I was talking to my brother and I think he was working with your con crew. He was talking to their captain and the guy said his crew was from Northern CA near Reno. The captain told my brother his crew liked my brother because he treated them like normal firefighters instead of a con crew. He said all of the guys were nice enough and hard workers. What a small world.
Gee Sandra, Did the energizer bunny visit you today and leave you some juice? What a workout! Can you e-mail me some of that energy?:) Ok, now you've cleaned, made oatmeal and bread and all I've done all day is thought about doing something:p Sounds like a little task blew up into a big one with the cabinet:) I should reorganize too. Maybe I could squeeze it in between Oprah and bon bons;) Well now I just feel lazy!!! You are cracking me up!
I think that catches me up. I have to go clean my house now because efficient Sandra is making me feel like a sloth:D:p:)}(
I hope you all enjoy the come hither meez that I'm leaving for my DH!
Nicole
RE: Xer.......Motivating Monday...........................
Hi everyone,
Today, work was busy until I got off at 11:30. After that it was to the golf course for a threesome with the prison priest, a dear man friend of ours and myself. Had lots of fun, and some bad holes, but all in all a beautiful time outside enjoying the 60's weather. What a great idea taking off from work! Grocery shopping after that and now relaxing with a nice fire going in the woodstove.
Sandra, good workout for you. You are in top form today, with your workouts and such funny, witty personals! You crack me up! The toy drill and pretending it's a hair dryer is so funny. Did you get the bread made? Please have a piece or two for me, with butter and honey. My idea of a very relaxing day (besides the facial and massage I just had on Friday), would be to bake bread. I promise I will be engaging in that activity when the weather changes for the worse. You know, snow swirling outside, wind blowing, wood stove going. A real fantasy for me. About that time, the electricity would probably go out as I'm trying to bake the loaves. Maybe I won't wait until a nasty weather day. No leaves have been raked yet. I just might rake them over the fence and let them blow away. Don't you dare nominate me for an officer for the bike club!!! Shame on you! I've been involved for the last 5 years I think and it's time to get some fresh blood in. Actually, I would love to ride a TDF stage, or go to Italy and ride there, drink wine and eat fabulous food. Hope to have my health still by then. So will you have snow on the ground from now on? I like it at first, but then after a while, it just looks dirty and I wish it would just go away. Enjoy Kickbox tomorrow. I liked it okay. Just the right length for me. Got the nose back? Your kids make me laugh. Fitnessfreak usually posts on the Hardcore check in every day, but has been absent for about a week now. Not sure why. She looks awesome on her Picture Trail. I didn't see the Specialized commercial you are referring to. Wonder what the Tour will be like next year. I like #6 of Lowmax too. Does Lowmax make you sweat a lot too? I've never seen the thong in PY4H. Guess I'm too busy concentrating on what he's saying.
Lea, hoping that the family all get over their sicknesses soon. No kids in this household bringing home any bugs from school. I hear the elbow problems are pesky and hang around. Sunnyside on the Hardcore checkin also has an elbow problem that still flares up and it's been a long time for her too. Glad you are in love with your yoga. I need to do that too. I keep saying that and haven't taken the time. Bad me. It might help my golf game.
Nicole, hope the sugar hangover leaves soon. I asked DH where the PB cups went and he said he took them to work, just like I asked him too. Darn. What was I thinking LOL! Love the new Meez. Did you change her from the Grandpa chair to standing up? I'm positive that the Captain (CAL FIRE, used to be California Department of Forestry) your brother spoke to was from our area. Like I said these inmate firefighters are about as good as convicts can be. It's a real privilege to be in the inmate firefighting program. I think that's pretty cool that your brother got to talk to him. We still have lots of crews out working. Hopefully, they will be returning soon. I'm sure they are all tired.
Anointed, hope the election is fun to work at for you tomorrow. Wow, the home you want to start sounds very intense. You have a wonderful heart Latrese! You are a much better person than myself. Hope you can get that funding. Way to go on your 2#! I have no doubt you will reach your goal. I just mentioned cornbread to my DH. He was talking about putting a pot of beans on the woodstove to cook.
Debra, your Halloween pics are so cute! Your little diva has the cutest smile! Thanks for sharing. Of course we will want a picture of the boy toy. I'm glad you told your DH about the lawyer. I'm not surprised he's dating. So sorry that you are feeling angry. This will pass I'm sure. Hoping that the Social Security duty goes smoothly and quickly.
Traci, keep us posted on the Slo Mo's. Do you have clients this week?
Wendy, glad you set the Postman straight. He can't get away with bullying us women like that. We'll show him 5' clearance alright. Glad you could flabbergast him. Hmmmm, what did I buy? Well, on Friday, I bought about 5 pairs of pants and about 10 tops. Saturday I got a couple little lamps to go near the woodstove, one of which reminded me of a little pin that my great-grandma gave me when I was little. I also got stuff like nice hand cream, and I cannot remember anything else right now. It's all in a bags, little odds and ends. Oh yeah, a scrapbook kit for my granddaughter. Calendars. Wow, I spent a lot of money and can hardly remember off hand what I got. Loved your account of a conversation with your DD re: spelling. The priest was good tonite and didn't give me any form tips. He was too busy trying to find his own ball.
Got to go now, see you all in the morning.
Jeanette
