Hi,
Just sitting here watching the Tour of California. Stage 5, time trial. Exciting stuff! Busy, busy day at work. No time for a walk either. Went grocery shopping after work and picked up some soups and other soft foods that hopefully Grandma will like. I'll get up, do my leg workout in the morning, shower and then head to Grandma's. Have some laundry going in the dryer now. House cleaning will have to wait until later.
Latrese, I can't wait to see your hair! Hope you take some pictures soon. I will Grandma a kiss for you, bless you!
Wendy, I had a busy day on the phone today too. My voice mail was full when I checked it this morning. Lexxie, our German Shorthair, loves the snow and always leaps off the deck into it. Tillie, however, is much more careful as her little legs are so short, so not as keen to leap off. LOL about Phil and the yoga instructor. My DH would never, ever go to a yoga class and if he was getting special male attention, would be so uncomfortable and disgusted, I would hear about it for a long, long time. I would LMAO though! Priceless!
Kim, you have to wait until next Wednesday to see the dentist? Oh my! Sure hope the pain doesn't get worse. That is too bad about the 93 year old lady cutting her arm. My sister thought that Grandma's appetite was better today. Hope it's even better tomorrow. Grandma has good and bad days. Enjoy HSM with your DD. The outing with the kids sounded absolutely fun, fun, fun! I would have been out like a light on the bus.
Laurie, did the girls get the kitchen cleaned up? Send them over here when they are done with yours. Glad Cami is feeling better. Avocado in the salsa? Yummm! My sister said to give Grandma lots of avocados as she loves them. Apparently with ketchup on them too. The cotton candy ice cream sounds good, but Grandma doesn't like anything cold on her teeth. Bummer, huh? I picked up some tapioca pudding in small containers for her tonite. Hope she feels like eating them or I might eat them all instead LOL! Nothing picky about my taste buds. My DH would have the spine chill thing going on to if he knew he was desired by the same team.
Tracy, I definitely have times where DH is a pain. It's just me and usually before TTOM, which is any day now. I must be going to be late because he's not annoying to me yet. Give it time though. I didn't feel the recumbent in my back, I was so focused on that awful thumping and lack of smoothness in the pedal stroke. I swear it had a bad bearing or something. Felt the work in my buttocks. I love eggs and egg whites. I had egg whites on a lite ww english muffin with a piece of fat free cheese. Hit the spot.
Nicole, you just reminded me that I need to fold laundry that's piled in the hallway. Hope you and your DH can reach an agreement on how to spend the tax return. Taxes, I haven't even thought about them yet. I'm not really crazy about spending the weekend helping to watch Grandma, but Mom sure needed a break. My sister said the hard part is getting Grandma to take her medications as a lot of them need to be taken on a full stomach. Eating seems to be a struggle at times. Also getting fluids into her. Nice thing is I can still be on my computer, read books, watch the bike race (on Versus at 2:00 p.m.) and have DH and the girls stay with me. Sounds like your DH likes a clean house? Glad mine is pretty tolerant because housekeeper of the year, I am not.
Traci, too bad those ladies messed up the schedule. I'm of Sandra's thinking that you don't want to cater tooo much to them. Otherwise it may keep happening. I'll have to see about the steamer bags for my broccoli cooking. Thanks for the good wishes that I stay healthy now that I'm back at the prison. They've quarantined even more dorms due to the flu. Lots of people sick at work still. I feel good still. Knocking on wood. Next week will be Week #4 so hope some magic starts. However, that will be TTOM too, wouldn't you know? The bloat is better with less cardio I think. I'm planning on a treadmill run on Sunday. Don't feel good about leaving Grandma for the time of a bike ride, unless I can talk DH into staying with Grandma. However, I think the weather will be nasty anyway so treadmill I think it will be. I'm assuming Mom and Dad's TM still works. If not, I may bring a cardio DVD over.
Sandra, those preacher curls are tough for me as my stability ball has "bumps" all over it. I have to watch my elbows aren't on a bump. Someday I may get another stability ball. I think I will probably do a Cardio Coach workout on the treadmill. Really like Coach Sean. Hmmm, I can't think of that other dwarf either. Guess I'll have to look them up on Wikipedia. Glad you mentioned CTX Kickbox planks. Maybe I'll tack that on after Meaner Legs.
Got to go. Whoohoo! Levi Leipheimer won the time trial in today's bike race and has a 49 second lead. I really like Levi. He better never let me down due to doping. We are all so sick of it.
