X Factor Cleanin' up the diet Sunday

Good Morning Girls.

Yes, you read it right! I am going to do it once and for all! My pants are too tight and it's killing me! I need to get this weight off! I'm starting to get depressed! :(:(:(

Today's work out will be ME u/b split + arm drills from CTX kb. I'd also like to add on a short cardio of choice if I have time. It's not on the rotation but I definatley need it!

BBIAB!

OMG Wendy, I think you were reading my mind! I ate so much sh!t last night before bed, after dinner out and two beers and two glasses of red wine!! Plus, I just had a cookie for breakfast with my coffee  Think it's time to clean it up? Ah, yah....

To boot, I never worked out yesterday  Got interrupted by the ex and the kids "stopping by" to get some things they needed. Turned into a 45 minute visit that consumed all my workout time. Argh. Don't get me wrong, love to see my kids, but the ex? Notsomuch. It frustrated me.

If everyone else is on board, maybe our new name will have to relate to cleaning things up.

BBIAB (after I cook myself some egg whites ;) lol)~

Jen

Jen,

OMG I am soooo onboard! Perhaps we can check in with our eats too? That'll help keep me honest instead of thinking to myself "well, if no one knows I ate 5 cookies then it didn't really happen!" LOL What do ya say, girl? I had a banana with my coffee and will probably have a plain protein shake with only ff milk in it before my work out. Enjoy those egg whites! ;)

Absolutely, I'm in! If I have to report my eats publicly, then it's totally going to dictate my choices. In fact, I just had four egg whites and started to eat a whole wheat mini-bagel with peanut butter, but opted to only eat half, considering the cookie I had earlier. Just gave the other half to the dog (ain't she happy!)

Anybody thinkin' of doing Fitness Freak's December Rotation? I'm going to do it. Looks like just the kick in the you know what I need right now ;)

Hey there.

I just did ME upper body split which includes ab work and then opted for the original BC cardio 2x through in place of arm drills. I originally wanted to do arm drills as well but I ran out of time and right now I deem the cardio more important. ;)

I am eating a tuna sandwich on ww bread for lunch and will have an apple for "dessert".

This morning, as I had said earlier was a banana and a plain protein shake with just ff milk and protein powder before working out.

Glad you are in this with me Jen. I can sure use the support! I've been a junk food feind lately between the sweets and the dinners out!

Are you lookin' to lose weight or just want to clean your diet back up before you are FORCED to lose weight like me?

Well, gotta go. Gotta be out the door runnin' in like 5 minutes!

BBL!

Wendy, definitely looking to drop a few. I weighed in at 130 yesterday, (NOT EVEN LOOKING TODAY ) and would ideally like to be 122ish. That being said, I do think that I've gained some muscle over the past several months, ever since starting Alwyn back in the early part of the year, and I'm think that a good weight for me might just be about 125. I'm 5'5". Sooooo, I think I might actually be happy by losing 5 pounds of fat, but that's to be determined once I get there. The hard truth is, though, that if I really want to get there, I have to start watching what goes into my mouth.

There are two things that really sabotage me, and that's 1) dining out and 2) wine. The wine is the greater problem for me, because once I have a glass, I totally relax on the diet. Wine and poor eating go hand in hand for me.

Just about heading out the door to do a grocery shopping before the kids get home. This is good 'cuz I'll go stock up on some healthy eats for the week. I'll throw together a turkey sandwich on a low carb wrap before hittin' the road. NO PREZELS or chips. (Ugh, salt...another downfall....man, I've got some major cleaning to do :p:rolleyes:!)

Hi ladies,

I eat pretty clean most of the time, but I do eat chocolate chips outta the bag. Weekdays are pretty easy as far as food goes and looks something like this-
m1-1/2 C fiber one cereal w/2 scoops prot powder, sliced banana & 3/4 C sugar free almond milk (or a shake w/the same ingred using froz fruit)
m2-3/4C eggbeaters w/either spinach or broccoli, & 1/2 tomato
m3-green salad w/veggies and 1 can drained tuna, banana or apple
m4-banana or apple
m5-This is dinner and I try to have a protein and a veggie.

I only managed 60 of the 80 minute workout yesterday. I was feeling a bit dizzy & nauseaous. I know it's because I worked out late in the day without eating. I prefer to workout on an empty stomach which is why morning is the best time for me. I followed up my cardio with abs from 4ds kb. I don't remember doing those before. I also did 4DS Back & Biceps before doing the cardio.

I'm planning on doing MIC today. I need to really kick up the cardio to work off the excess. It's starts out slow but then blows you away. I'm always so happy when the step section starts!

Wendy-I'm all for cleaning up my eating!!! I'm not really a drinker, but chocolate is definitely my downfall. As I mentioned, I eat chocolate chips right outta the bag.

Jen-I'm thinking of doing Fitness Freaks Dec rotation. I'll be adding more cardio, 2 days of cardio per week is not nearly enough for me. I'll probably still do heavy leg training at the rec ctr. and do my add'l cardio at there too.

Sunny-I've always exercised, except for a few years between the ages 18-22. DH had a physical and some blood work done and knows he needs to start eating better and exercising. He's starting slow but I am glad he's making an effort. His Dad died at 67 and his grandfather was younger than that when he passed. I want him to be around for a long time.

Hope everyone is enjoying there long weekend. DS just put up the Christmas tree so Jerod and I will be decorating the and the house this afternoon.

Hi Ladies.

Well I've done good today so far. I would have liked to be able to eat a small snack between lunch and dinner but my situation simply didn't allow for it. I ate lunch just before noon and then didn't eat again until about 5pm. Thankfully I wasn't TOTALLY STARVING by then like I usually am. I had a can of Campbells Healthy Request Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner and then had a small handful of walnuts, dried apricots and dried cranberries for "dessert". I'm sure I'll have a snack later on as well.

Jen: I looked at FF's December rotation but just wasn't feelin' it. It looks like a goodie, just not what I'm currently in the mood for. Enjoy it! :) Last I got on the scale I was 130 as well but it's probably more like 131-132 now! I was 127-127.5 before I gained and I was quite happy there. It was maintainable and I was still able to have my treats and cheat meals. The best part is that my belly was FLAT and I had some pretty nice ab definition! Now? GONE! :( 3-5 pounds is all it took to take that away. I ofcourse am the only one who sees it but it's made a big difference. My stomach is not even close to what it was just a few pounds ago. I need to change that...NOW! I would like to weigh 125 or less just to be able to say that I do but I don't need to go that low. Even if I could get there, it wouldn't be something I could maintain and still be happy. It would be a constant struggle so it's just not worth it for me. Good luck getting to your goal!!!:)

Diana: Yum...I could eat chocolate chips outta the bag too. I usually buy dark chocolate and eat a piece here and there. I can handle that. It's when I eat several cookies in one sitting that it's outta control! Last week I ate 2 Entenmenns Donuts in one sitting. I rarely ever eat them at all and then I go and eat 2 at once! ACK!

Sunny: I'm doing FF's Get Ready for Summer 2007 rotation. Yeah, I know it's winter yet but hey, I wanna get ready early, okay? :p I'll be throwin' in extra cardio when I can. Hey, atleast your pants FIT you!!!

oh my how funny that we all now weigh 130lb and are not happy. i would like to be around 122 ish however would be happy at 125 as 122 is alot of work and dedication and i am just not feeling that right now.

so what are we going to do about it ladies????

wendy-i've been wearing alot of sweat suits lately:D

jen- i printed that rotation and do like the looks of it. if i do it, it won't be until jan.

eating has been great today. for dinner i had a salad with lemon chicken..yummy!!

hopefully i won't get give in to the boredom nightly munchies..GRRR

Hey everyone!

I'm just getting a light dinner together for me and the kids now, and it's going to include a salad and some leftover turkey, maybe some of the roasted butternut squash I have leftover, too. Fortunately, I made the squash myself, so I know what's in it. I had a snack earlier of some greek yogurt and a few (6, to be exact) cherries on top. All in all, it has been a very successful diet day.

Dee Dee, sounds like our goals are the same. I like that we're focusing on this now during the month of December, because temptation abounds this month. I figure if I stay clean and consistent all month, I can celebrate without too much worry on Christmas Day.

Diana, I hadn't realized that there were only two days of cardio per week until you mentioned it. Not sure how I feel about that. I think I'll probably follow the rotation as written for the first two weeks, and if I feel like I need more cardio after that, I'll figure out a way to sneak it in.

Wendy, I totally get everything you're saying about being at a weight that you're able to maintain and still have your treats. That's exactly where i want to get back to. Before I divorced, I maintained the 122 without too much trouble. And if a pound or two crept on, I could get if off in no time at all. But now working a desk job, and dating a guy who is very relaxed  when it comes to diet, I find it a lot harder. I think that's why I'm stuck on the 122 number....I figure if I get to that, I've got some leeway. It's a lofty goal, and as I said before, realistically, I could probably be pretty darn happy at 125. Don't you worry, you're going to be at your comfortable number in no time, 'cuz this month of December is all about diet and dedication!!

Gotta jet, but will check in again before bed.

Jen
