Would you be interested in a Cathe Book Club?

To select a book: each month a different individual from this list (and we can easily generate this list, just take names in the order in which they have responded to this post) can present via a poll to the others a choice of 4 books she is interested in (nothing medieval, nothing too esoteric please!!!) and then we can all poll to say which we are most interested in and voila! The book will be selected. That way we all have some degree of input into each selection.

It would be nice if people paid aattention to genre so that we don't end up reading romacne month after month, or mystery month after month. Right? So, we should pay attention to which genre the previous month's selected book belonged.

Just suggestions to get the ball rolling.

Has the thread been started? Did I miss it? I have never been in a book club so I don't even know what to suggest. Or where to start or what to do. I don't have to take a test do I?;-)

This is a great idea! I absolutely LOVE to read and Im always looking for new ideas. Plus I like all kinds of books...except for history...so I'm in!

I replied to the wrong one--every other month would be good, although like others, I might not be able to join regularly and certainly not til August or September. I go out to CA for a masters program that is 6 weeks long--lots of reading in Spanish!
