Woo hoo-we are getting some rain!!

I cannot remember the last time we got some rain. My grass is brown and you could light it on fire and it would all be gone in a second. LOL! It is pouring out there now. Lots of thunder too. Yea!!
 
We got rain these three days. But mostly was in a very short time period. Last night was long, and with thunder and lighting. All my front yard like desert, dry grass is so crispy. Thank God my DH religiously waters my garden and vegetibles. We got our first harvest of beans and squash this year.

We got TONS of rain! And a tornado warning too! :) Thankfully the tornado was to the east of us, moving east. So we missed it. This rain is just fabulous though. Our lawn is looking greener already! :D
 
Arizona checking in. We have dry heat at 106 degrees. It is pretty windy here w/ lots of dust blowing. The monsoon was late again this year. I'm glad noone in my family has allergies.
 
Yeah, it's about time. My DS and I sat on my bed reading books and watching the rain. He was fascinated by it. I don't know if my reading or the rain put him to sleep! LOL! He's been a busy little boy today and missing his big brother and sister very much.

I hear it's also supposed to cool down now?

I heard it was suppose to cool down too but we will see. It would be nice if it did. I guess your son was a little too fascinated by the rain Dallas. LOL!
 
We've finally had some rain the last few days in WI, too. I water my lawn to keep it green and I'm NOT looking forward to my next water bill. Now today it's sunny again, but a cold front has arrived. No more 90s for awhile. It was a heat index of 115 on Sunday! But it's only going to be in the 70s today. I'm glad for the break and the grass is happy, too. :)
 
Philadelphia girl here... The weather here the last fews days has been brutal. We even made a top story on Yahoo this morning..LOL

Anyway, we are hoping the rain gets here later today into tomorrow and friday. It's supposed to bring down the temp and the humidity for a beautiful weekend.

We got rain. Oh BOY did we get rain! It's still raining, but last night, we got torrential downpours that flooded the highway and overflowed all the run-offs. It took me two hours to get home (normally a 40 minute trip). Crazy, I tell ya! My garden is happy:)
 
We have not gotten rain yet here, and it is still HOT! We should be getting some this weekend to hopefully cool things off. I like warm weather, but this heat is really getting to me. It's impossible to do anything!
