Will this rotation work?

Hi everyone! I just finished my first rotation...the ctx series. Since that was my very first rotation, I wondered if you all could tell me if this next rotation is okay (enough cardio, strength training, etc) I have been "cut off" by my dh from ordering any more tapes for awhile, so here is what I came up with: M: Circuit Challenge (reebok, Gin Miller)
T: Maximum Cardio (The Firm)
W: Body Max (Cathe (just the first two segments)
R: Better Buns & Body (The Firm)
F: Total Body (The Firm...Susan Harris)

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I consider myself an intermediate, and have been doing the ctx series for about 7 weeks. I need to lose about 5 lbs and would definitely like to tone up. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this....being so new to rotations, and not having all the tapes everyone talks about, it is difficult to know if I am putting together a "good" rotation. Thanks!

I'm not familiar w/ Gin Miller's video but it looks like you're only working the upper body hard once (Friday). Can you add the upper body work from Body Max to your schedule somewhere? Alternatively, you could tack on the strength work from the CTX series as time allows before Thursday.

I could do either....maybe do all of segment 3 of bodymax on saturday or sunday.....or I could do the strength part of ctx throughout the week. Gin Miller's tape does work upper body, but it doesn't seem near as intense as Cathe's work in the ctx series. Other than the upper body, does the rotation seem okay? Would I be better off substituting a couple of the ctx tapes (the whole tape) for any of the ones I have mentioned? Thanks so much!

It looks like fun! I don't know the Gin Miller video, but guessed that it's fairly light weights like Circuit Max. Some general guidelines are to hit each body part at least twice a week on non-consecutive days. Do at least 3 cardios sessions and try to include one interval day. Doing a variety of cardio, like you've planned, fights boredom and decreases the risk of injury.

Body Max in it's entirety is a long workout. Lots of people break it up. I like to use the upperbody & ab section on days when I really toast my legs (eg spinning).

Many have had good success using the CTX tapes for strength work once a week because of the high intensity, so there are exceptions to the twice a week rule. You might keep those CTX tapes in reserve & hit them hard again for a new year rotation. Don't know how long your purchasing moratorium is on! This website is great for the body & tough on the wallet.

Just some thoughts - everybody is different. Make sure you keep the fun factor up.
