which video gives best leg definition

I am on a MIS rotation- upper body 3x week and lower 2X. I am seeing definition in the upper body but not so much yet in the lower. I wanted opinions on which video you guys found to give you the best definition in the lower body.
Thanks for any responses.

I find that cardio that works the legs a lot gives me definition. When I'm more active doing things like running, spinning, step, etc, I get more toned legs. This is in addition to different weight workouts once a week. The PS legs tape is great too. The added cardio could also get rid of some fat on the legs too.

This is just what works for me.

You may want to switch to PS legs or Slow and Heavy alternated with Leaner Legs. I switch my leg routine every week to keep my legs really guessing.

If you have access to a leg extention machine, I'd add those. If not, you can tubing from Spri products that allow you to work your quads in the same way. Dont' forget your inner thighs, too.

Hi there,
I'm on week four of a PS rotation, and have been alternating w/ cardio of various kinds in between, and I am getting GREAT results w/ this leg w/o. Its the first time I have really noticed a major improvement in definition in my legs.

Good luck

Hi Jayne :)

Could you tell me how many times per week you're doing PS Legs? I'm contemplating going off of Power Hour (which I just started) and doing PS Legs exclusively for lower body instead, but I'm unsure how many times per week I should use it for good results. My main focus is overall leg toning, specifically inner thigh. Just wondering too how much weight you're lifting for the various exercises? Any insight you could provide would be great!

Thanks :)
Nicole

I too got great results with a PS rotation. At first I thought I'd hate it because it seems so much longer than LL or MIS, but it is a great tape. I only did the video once a week. I used a 35 lb. barbell the first 6 weeks or so and towards the end of the rotation I switched to 40 lbs. I believe I used 12 lb. dumbbells for the step ups, I can't remember. It is whatever Cathe used. I did PS SL/A on Mon. and then MIS on Thurs. Some weeks I didn't have time to do MIS, so I would either do the Power Circuit segment of Body Max or the CTX Power Circuit cardio section. That way I hit my legs twice a week. Also, PS has plie squats as well as lying adductor lifts so I think it might be a great video for you to do! Have fun!

Hi Nicole,
I am a "weanie", so I only use 25 lbs on the barbell, and usually ten lb dumbells on the step ups. I have been using the legs once a week, and then I do either circuit max or bodymax once a week, along with cardio kicks once a week and various other cardio--which ever strikes me that day ! this is the first rotation that I have noticed improvement in my inner thighs.

I hope that helps,
Jayne

PS has been the best leg workout I've ever had. The floor work is especially effective. I go as heavy as I possibly can on that (right now 10 lbs of ankle weight and the body bar). It's given me great leg definition.

I do it once every three days, so I guess that's 2x week.

Hey jillybean :)

What were you using on the floorwork for inner and outer thighs? I was thinking I would start w/ 35lbs on barbell, and #10 dumbbells (being that it's the heaviest I currently have at the moment). Just curious what your weight was for the floorwork section.

Thanks :)
Nicole

Cathe uses a 15 lb. body bar so I used a 2.5 lb ankle weight and then held a 12 lb dumbbell on my thigh for the inner/outer thigh stuff. For the hamstring work, I held (2) 8 lb. dumbbells across my hip bones. This worked great for me.

Hey K60,

So do you do the whole series twice a week or just the leg tape? Can you share what a weekly rotation for you would look like? I would like a little more leg definition and am considering purchasing the PS series.
