What to do with Cherry Butter?

LadyUnix

Cathlete
I came back from the beautiful Door Peninsula in WI with a jar of cherry butter; it's pretty large. Does anyone have any ideas what to do with cherry butter, aside from a spread on (gasp!) breads?

YUM! Door Country Cherries!!!! YUMMMMMY!

Combine with port wine, dried cherries, red onion and balsamic vinegar for a GREAT accompaniment to pork or steak.

Spread on rye cracker with chevre.

A topping for frozen yogurt

(did you eat frozen custard while you were in Wisconsin???? it is one of the things I enjoyed most about living in WI.)

Yum - Door County Cherries! and don't forget the joy of cheese curds! and a cold, cold Leinie's Red! (and brats before I went veg); hmmm - I would use the cherry butter anywhere you would want something sweet, tart. You could even use it as a condiment on sandwiches; you could do like Janis indicated and make a savory out of it to serve with wine, cheese and crackers (oh, yum) It would probably even work fine on it's own for that - on a wheaty cracker with smoked gouda!! oh, goodness - the possibilities are endless and now I'm getting hungry!
