What size stability ball?

OK...it was doomed to happen. My kids popped my stability ball while playing a game with it in the basement. (not to mention, they also broke the light bulb, lol).

I'm shopping online right now, but some sites say 55cm and others 65cm for my height. I'm 5'5".

Which is it??

Gayle

I'd like to know this too because a site I saw said 55cm for my height(I'm 5'3") and I felt like my knees were higher than they should be.

I am 5'5" and have a 65 cm ball. I wish I had gotten a 75cm even though it says it is for 6' people. However, my knees feel too high with 65cm. Cathe and crew seem to use a fairly large ball and they are 5'2". So who is to really say? All I know is that next time I get a ball, I am getting 75cm.

Gayle--
For 5'5 I'd definetely go with a 65cm ball. I'm 5'4 and the 55cm ball was just way too small for me--once I bumped it up to 65cm I was much happier.

Each person is different though so I'm interested to see what some others might say. Good luck!

I'm 5'2" and followed the chart getting a smaller ball. It was too small. I subsequently bought the 75cm and am happy.

I'd go with the 75cm. Don't follow the height chart.

I'm 5'7" and I think mine is 65cm. It works great for me!

Oh, and just wanted to add in that I just tried out the PB2 thanks to your link!! So thank you, I have added it to my oatmeal & to my yogurt and it's really good that way! ;-)

I'm 5'7" with long legs and used to use a 75cm ball. It was way too big. I couldn't do a lot of Cathe's moves on it. I finally purchased a 65cm ball, and I am so much happier. Many of the moves I can now do easily. I think a ball too large for your height will limit you in what you can do.

You know what, guys? I borrowed my neighbor's ball for this morning's core workout and it's 55cm. TOO SMALL. lol

THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT! YOU ALL ROCK!

5'9" here and I had to drop down to a 65mm ball from a 75mm.
