I'm glad it turned out this way and someone didn't have your card number.

My DD isn't so lucky. She had her cable hooked up yesterday in her new apartment and the cable man called the order in to turn it on. She had to give her SSN#, etc., to check her credit.... well....on one of the national databases they use to check this, another name popped up with her SSN. Somebody is using my daughter's SSN!!!!

She has put fraud alerts on her credit profile with the three major reporting agencies, filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission Identity Theft Hotline and is going to have to take her birth certificate to the regional Social Security Administration to prove she is who she is. I don't know what in the heck it is going to take to straighten this mess out!!!

Shelley, at least you know the bank is doing its job well. I know, it's awfully inconvenient, but it could've been worse. Hey, I upset the Karma gods all the time. I don't know why, I'm pretty much a stay-away-from-everyone's-face kind of person, but I have that black cloud following me as well. I'm probably cursed, but that's a different thread.;-)

Pinky - you're starting to sound like Shonie with the bad luck cloud thing. The ironic thing is both of you - CLAIM to have a black cloud when you've been blessed with such good looks???

Shelley - I hope things get better for you!!! Car problems come up at the worst times, in my experience. But then again, is there ever really a GOOD time?? Sorry to hear about that.....x( Why can't we just all ride bikes???

AWWWWW, Laura! That is so SWEET. Just when I'm PMSing and breaking out just above my upper lip. I look like I have cold sores.x( And you know what they say about looks -- they ain't everything.

Shonie kept telling me to stay away from her because her bad luck is contagious. I told her that if our trip home from PHL would be as bad as the trip there, I'd believe her. Well, the trip home was even worse. I still refuse to believe her though.

We gotta get together, y'all. Shelley, you can come, too. And everyone else who can handle us crazy loons.
