What does "gym style" really mean?

In a post that I read, Cathe advised someone looking to build muscle to do 3 weeks of Gym Styles, 3 weeks on Pyramids, 3 weeks of Slow and Heavy.

The problem I have right now is that I don't have any of these DVDs, nor any money to buy them right now.

I know proper form, and I have dumbbells. I understand the pyramid concept, and the slow and heavy concept. But what are "gym styles?"

RE: What does

I thought gym style meant straight ahead heavy lifting, no fancy switching up the counts a la Power Hour or Slow and Heavy. As in three sets, 8 - 12 reps each set, as heavy as you can. But this is an excellent question.

Although I don't think the Gym Style Workouts follow this concept to the letter, I think it's the basic premise.

But I'm sure one of the more educated crowd can give you a better detailed answer as I am not that swift when it comes to workout design.

I just lift the stuff, not think it up - LOL! ;)

RE: What does

In the Rotations section someone posted the layout of GS

This can give you an idea of what exercises are done. Some of them have different counts. The one that stands out in my memory is the lying tricep extension. Once is 2 down 6 up and another set is just the opposite. The band is alos used in these workouts. I think most sets are 12 reps. I hope this helps.
