I took care of my MIL for only one month when she was ill and that was so hard! People think babies are hard, let me tell you, I've done both and babies are easy compared to having an elderly person in your house that is ill.

I admire you for taking care of others and you should NOT feel the least bit selfish. A person can only handle so much of taking care of sick and elderly people in their home 24/7. I hope your step MIL gets well and hope you find lots of support with helping her.

Thanks all of you for the support! we finally got in touch with my inlaws and they came home. Grace had two small strokes and they are testing to find out why. her speech is slurred, but she is mobil. they are keeping her until monday. thanks again!

Sorry you're having such a rough ride Girl, you have wells of strength within you to draw upon and soooooo many people pulling for you and sending you positive thoughts and energy:)

Sorry to hear about Grace. You can Grace are in our prays. I understand how hard it is when you take care of senior. Like Shelley said sometimes you don’t have to be the strong one. Leaning to the strong shoulder, have all your tears out. It might help. We all know that you are not selfish at all. You are the lovely, kind-hearted person...
