WAY TO GO PHILLES!!!!!

Sorry had to post this message, we haven't won anything in soo long, I am just super excited!!! This town is going nuts, I just hope they don't burn anything down. Just wanted to share my excitement because everyone is sleeping in my house. -Lisa

WOO HOO! I'm so glad they won at home! But I was scared watching the news this morning, expecting to see the "stupid sports fan" mentality come out. A turned over car and a large dumpster fire. That's it.....not TOO bad! LOL

My kids are super excited as well! Personally, I'm happy that my kids can get to bed on time now.....those late starts for the games were killing our bed time routine! LOL

The first thing I thought of after the game was all of the great memories I have of my father, mother, and I making the drive to Veterans Stadium to the Phillies games in the 70's and 80's..stopping at Stewart's Drive In for root beer floats and cheeseburgers.

The Phillies were one of the things that gave my father joy, he never hugged my mother harder than when they won it all in 1980, the Phils were the one thing that mom and dad could agree upon in those final years!!

My father has long since passed away...but I fully intend on stopping to see my mom at the nursing home later today to present her with her Phillies World Champions T-shirt.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up a tad a games' end last night. Of all sports, in my opinion, baseball evokes the greatest memories!

We're all super excited too!

I was hoping to take my son to the parade, but since he missed all last week being in Disney, I don't know if I want to take him out again! Have a great time - I'm sure the crowds will be going crazy!!!
