Unbelievable.....The Biggest Loser Finale!!!

BAM

This show touches me and I know so many others in such a deep way. The contestants have transformed their lives, their families lives, and others who have been inspired by them. The love and support that they receive during this process is very touching and motivating.

I can not believe the indescribable transformations that these people have made in the 8 month period. I applaude each and every one of them and all those who worked right along with them at home. They are truly an inspiration and they have demonstrated extreme discipline to make positive, healthy changes in their lives. I am on a high at this moment from what I have just seen. I'm so glad that t.v. can be used to positively impact so many people.

Thanks for letting me share.

Eric. He lost a whopping 214 pounds! He looks like a completely different person. Imagine losing over 50 percent of your body weight. All three finalists look fabulous. It makes my 10 I want to lose rather small. But I do feel motivated.

It was amazing! There were quite a few people who ended up literally "half" of their former selves! I thought that Brian was the cutest, though!

I though that Heather was interesting. I told DH that if that were me, and $250,000 were on the line....he needs to zip it! Looking back, with them showing her binging on the cookies, and gaining weight and being tired all the time, you could tell that she got pregnant as soon as she got home!

Erik was great! They all looked so awesome, but I wasn't too impressed with Kai's attitude. I don't remember her being so cocky on the show the rest of the season! What I really wanted to see was Erik's reunion with Bob!!! Now THAT would have been cool!

It was good. They should have had a prize for the most buff. Marty would have won.
I think Kai looked awesome.. She was really big and wow. She has a nice little face.
One question? Where is all the extra skin? When you loose 200 lbs. you have to have extra skin? That is what i don't get...
Eric blew my mind when he came out...
I think 250,000. was quite a bit of motivation though.

Yeah, I wondered about that too. Typically when you lose that much weight slowly, your skin bounces back (for lack of better terms), but they all lost HUGE amounts in a super quick time.

I want to know what the contestants from the first 2 seasons look like now! If they've maintained or not.

If you notice, Eric seemed to have a little bit around the waist, and I believe it was skin, not fat. Kai's triceps are really wobbly, and I think that again is not lack of muscle, but the excess skin still hanging on. It will be interesting to see how Heather does with her pregnancy now, I thought she looked big for 5 months.

OMG it was fantastic to see all the hard work these people accomplished! I think the show really could have been condensed to an hour though. I hate when they spend so much time on filler fluff. Damn the commericals, too! ACK! I heart this show.

Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says, 'Oooooo.'
Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.

I'm with you, Debbie, too much filler fluff! Any Carolyn Rhea talking!

Anyway, I was super impressed with what Jennifer and Amy looked like as well!!!

I don't watch this show because I don't believe in quick weight loss, and I don't believe in measuring your results on a scale. I think they should compare body fat percentages. But I was surfing through the channels, and saw those 3 finalists and I have got to say that my eyes were popping out of my head. The 3 finalists looked absolutely stunning, gorgeous, healthy, fit and, well, dishy. Don't you think the woman looked like a young Belinda Carlisle? And that black dress. Just stunning!

They actually do go by percentage of total weight loss when they figure out who lost the most. In fact, the winner actually lost 214 lbs which ended up being over 50%!! That way it makes is even between men and women.

Amy, the problem is that if someone builds more muscle, they lose less weight, so you're actually penalized for muscle the way it's set up now. BTW, Eric is totally hot now.

I thought Jennifer looked awesome... she was the first sent home. I don't think some of the others like Tiffany worked very hard.
I love this show......
Can't wait for the new one, wished they would do 2 a yr, but I know its winter....

Rhonda:7

ps.. even the ones that did it own their own at home, the women from NJ that won 50 thousand dollars, she lost 100 lbs....

I agree with being penalized for the muscle gain! Whiley weighed about the same as Erik, but because he came in 100lbs lighter there was no way he could win.

Marty was so cute looking at his guns.

My son guessed Heather would be prego last week. No surprise there.

DH and I both thought Marty looked the best, but there was no way for him to win the $100k with all the muscle he put on.

He could do commercials for Under Armour!

i agree.... kai was EXTREMELY cocky.... but then.... i haven't liked her all season....

i thought erik looked amazing.... well.. they ALL looked amazing! big hair/pony-tailed guy... i loved him... he looked so fantastic!

i wondered about the excess skin, too....

i'm concerned though... since they did all lose it so fast... will they keep it off???? i hope so... since they are all so much healthier now! and of course all look wonderful! but historically when you lose that fast... you gain it right back... let's all hope for the best for each and every one of them!

and how about poppi! wow! she was cute as a button!!!!!!!

it was nice that they gave heather the baby room... but ya.... with 250,000 on the line... they should have used something!!!!!

cute work out clothes are good for AT LEAST an additional 10-15 calories burned!

All the weight loss was over eight months, so it wasn't that fast; as for the extra skin, my guess is that those bike shorts they all wear tend to suck it in to a certain degree; however, Wiley did take his shirt off and looked good; they had Eric on Today this morning, and they showed a picture of him doing a double-biceps pose wearing a towel around his waist and I don't know where his loose skin went, because it sure wasn't on his stomach;
I don't watch the show during the season but I tend to watch the finales; I was amazed - the final four looked so good; so did a couple of the voted-off group; one or two of the guys were completely unrecognizable; they went from huge to thin; incredible;
I have to say, though, that Eric definitely deserved to win with his amazing progress; my guess is that many of them rebound, at least somewhat, after they settle into a new routine, but when the choice, as in Eric's case is keep it up or decend back into the major health problems he had, I would guess (and hope) that he is able to keep it up
congrats to them all!! (that show always makes me want to work out!)

<<<but I wasn't too impressed with Kai's attitude?>>>

I thought she seemed "high" .. very LOOPY .. I mean she looked fantastic .. but she just seemed like she was on something..

I was so glad Eric won .. to me he had the most weight to loose .. and the biggest heart!! and WOW did he stun me when he came out .. WOW .. WOW .. WOW!!!!

think both the trainers were blown away by the results!!!

i dunno.... 8 months is still a short time to lose 100 - 200 pounds! aren't you only supposed to lose 2-3 pounds a month to do it in a healthy manner????

ya.... i felt guilty eating my evening snack while watching! lol! but it's planned calories and healthy!

Well, yeah, this is certainly a specialized and highly monitored circumstance. Most of the country would not have that kind of time to dedicate to fitness (don't we wish on occasion).

I think the "real" stuff happens when they go back to their lives and have to do what we all do normally to keep fit. I think some of those contestants might put back on a few pounds but some were almost skinny (for the competition of course).
