Tight Pants???

I tried on my jeans for the first time since summer and they were skin tight!!! I realized that over the summer I sort of semi went off my diet, but I didn't think I had gained so much. Normally, I eat a really clean diet with one day (Friday) that I can eat and drink whatever I want. I can't beleive how hard it is to get back on track. I keep catching myself reaching in the fridge or picking at my kids unfinished food. I can really thank everyone on this forum for keeping me motiviated with my Cathe workouts. She really is tough. Over the summer my exercise was mostly swimming, running and cycling. I swear, some of her workouts are harder than a 1 mile swim. Hats off to Cathe and the educated crowd!!!!!

This is why it's so important to keep a food journal all the time. It seems like too much of a bother, but if you do it, you will be less likely to have one of those "tight pants" moments. It also helps to weigh yourself on a regular basis, even tho' I know we have a lot of folks on this sight who believe in throwing the scales away. It's a drag, I know, to count calories or points, but it keeps you on track. Write everything down, including what you eat off the kid's plates. It all counts.

Last summer I went through one of those "tight pants" periods, and it was when I was not faithful with my weekly weigh-ins.
Just Do It! :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I am going to start both an exercise journal and a food log. I am afraid to step on the scale at the moment. I think I will wait until I feel a little better. If I see the number I might get discouraged. I think I saw a post listing exercise logs, I am going to try to find those, if not I will just make one of my own. Thanks again. Alicia

I've been using www.fitday.com for my calories and really like it. I cycle my calories, 3 days at between 1300-1500 and then one day at 1900. Works for me. I also weigh daily and have for years.

Muscle mass? I'd like to think so, but I doubt it. Especially, since during the summer I also really slacked off with my weight training. I swear, weight training makes all the difference.

Netta - Thank you for the website, I am going to check it out now.

I like that slide on .. not squeeze on. I tell my friends I am wearing my ballet tights today and they know I am feeling chubby. Ha Ha
