Thanks to all who helped me in my quest to find the right Cathe videos for me. I decided to go with the Body Blast series as it looked more appropriate for my current fitness level but will still challenge me (or perhaps I should say torture me?:D ). I nearly killed myself the first time I tried The Firm-- I could barely walk for a week and I did not go back to that tape for 5 years-- and I don't want to repeat that with Cathe! (LOL, They aren't kidding when they say "never try to do all the exercises your first time.")

I can hardly wait for my DVDs to arrive!

Yes, take it slow and easy, and work until your medium tried and then call it a day, it really doesn't matter how long you exercise but how tired your muscles are. You get the most benifit when you reach that point if you go over it, all you do is have bad form and you don't help yourself in the least bit, your calories burning drops, and the next morning you can't workout, so you got in 60 minutes today but have to miss tomorrows workout and maybe the next days. And that is a lot worse then only doing 15 today and then trying for 20 tomorrow, or changing the workout to one you know and doing that for how ever long you workout normally, and then going back to the new one the next day and trying for 20 minutes. It doesn't matter how much fun it is, or how excited you are or how much your wnat to push it for just one more, you still got to take care of you and stop when your body says enough. Remember this is why you are exercising is to take care of you. So don't stop the minute you put in the DVD, you're still on duty and have to play mother hen to your self.

Also do yourself a favor and watch the DVD at least once all the way threw before you try it. This will show you all the moves and may even warn you how tough it is, and it will give you an idea where to plan your breaks. If you play it nice and cool and take it easy the first few days you do the workout, you'll be blasting threw it in no time. But if you ignore yourself, you will more then likly not even be able to slither out of bed the next morning, as every part of your body will hurt including your fingernails.
