Sunday Peeps

Goodmorning all. I didn't sleep very well last night. Hot flashes every hour, then I'd wake up and relive the last minutes of the game. Sigh.

I'm headed to work, followed by GS BSB. This is the evening we meet friends an MIL for pizza. I'll take a big salad instead.

Laura, I love your signature line. That is one of my favorite verses. I love the "soar on wings like eagles" part best.

Taa till later.

Robin
We have got to stop meeting like this!!! 5 am is sooo early.
That's why I never get to see the shows everyone is talking about over in OD.
My ds is a rooster at 5. I want to sleep.....:eek::eek:

Today will be another rest day for me. What's up with this calf pain??? OUCH

PEEPS- I'll bbl to check in. Any idea for my calves? Shoes? Too much step?
They are killing me after a step workout and IMAX 2. HELP

Good morning peeps!! I am kicking back and having coffee. Planning B&Gs later.

Robin, have fun with your friends!!

Ellie, sorry about your legs :( I would rest and maybe soak.

HI Peeps!

Robin - I am sorry about your team losing. :( and the hot flashes too:mad: Have fun tonight with the dinner and friends and MIL. Robin, it looks like we settled on a half marathon in Rock hill, NY. The other choice was near Allentown, but DD23 is going to run with me and this is a better location for us to meet.

Ellie- I saw your pictures your haircut looks sassy! . Does icing your calf help? and stretching too?

HI Catherine!

Wendy- I hope Houdini is on the mend. My DD17 was on the couch all day with a stomach bug, ugh. I do not want any part of it!

Today is an easy paced 3 mile run. Tomorrow DH and I take off for our 25th anniversay trip, alone.

Guten Morgen, Peeps!

Houdini did not get better yesterday. Then she started getting really upset, crying hard, and sticking her fingers in her ears...I took her to a walk-in clinic and she has TWO EAR INFECTIONS! My poor little girl! No wonder she was so upset! She got an instant shot of antibotics and some medication she has to take twice a day. The shot seemed to work--she looked a lot better by 8PM and slept through the night. Luckily the medicine can be mixed in milk and she drank it all last night, too. But I kept waking up, thinking she'd be waking up crying, and was up from 3AM-4AM. So lots of coffee for me, Robin and Ellie!

Oh! I tried the new coffee-mate Carmel Apple flavor. Sounds gross, but was shockingly yummy....

I got up and did Basic Step at 6:30AM. It was all I could manage today, but tops off a good workout week for me. Later today I have a spa outing with the Mommy Group I'm in and I'm getting a half-hour shoulder and neck massage. I'm sooooooooooooo excited.

Robin--I'm sorry about Penn State...but I must say DH (Iowa Fan) was in a very good mood the rest of the night. It was a really good game--I was on the edge of my seat the last two minutes. Oh! I went out and got that Cooking Light you were talking about and there's lots of good stuff in it!! I've folded over several pages and will be trying some things this week (Maple Sage Pork Tenderloin, Red Pepper Jelly Vinagerette, etc.) We'll have to write up reviews for how they turned out!

Ellie--Do you do a lot of deep calf stretching after an intense workout? I know I have to do lots after something like Drill Max or my calfs really tighten up. I would keep resting it, and then maybe ease back into your cardio with a little less intensive step workout. (Cough cough no IMAX 2 right away.) LOL! Hope you feel better soon.

Judy--Enjoy your run! I hope DD is feeling better today, too.

Be back later!

:) Wendy

Peeps Check-in

Peeps:

Good morning! This is a rest day for me. I may enjoy a segment of Stretch Max before church. After lunch, I am going with friends from my church family to a baby shower at a strip club. One of the dancers is pregnant, and we want to bless her and her little one who is due to arrive soon.

Laura, I love your signature verse too!

Robin, I am sorry about the game and your sleepless night. I hope you have time for a nap this afternoon. Hugs!

Ellie, when was the last time you bought new workout shoes? Take a break from step, and trying icing your calves. Stretching your calves every day may help as well.

Catherine, enjoy Butts and Guts.

Judy, have a blessed anniversary trip! Congratulations on 25 years!

Wendy, hugs and prayers for you and your little one!

Blessings,
Heather B.

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Done with w/o. Actually did B&Gs standing portion followed by Lauren Brook's 12 min KB w/o. Nice combo-my butt is sore

Judy, I hope you and your DH have a wonderful trip!!

Wendy, poor little Houdini :( I hope she is better today.

Heather enjoy your rest. I love to stretch on my rest days. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

JJ, I am curious if you have done Lauren's w/o yet and what you think. Let me know!!

Morning Peeps!

WOW...some of you are up really early:eek: Rest day for me except for walking the dog and raking leaves.

Catherine~ I did Lauren Brooks short workout yesterday. I liked it. I had to do a couple of sections twice just to get the moves down. My favorite was the clean, squat, press move. I love doing those deep squats with the kb...it really hits the glutes and legs.

Robin~ Sorry Penn State lost....it was a nail biter at the end. Minnesota just stunk against Michigan yesterday. I hope you sleep better tonight.

Ellie~ I saw your post in OD. I hope everything turns out OK for DS. Very scary! All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Judy~ Have a wonderful anniversary celebration!

Wendy~ AWWW poor Houdini:( Give her a big hug for me. I'm glad the shot and meds are working and she was able to sleep thru the night. Have fun on your spa outing....you deserve to be pampered!

Heather~ Enjoy your rest day. Have fun at the shower!

Waves to Dani and all who follow:)

JJ

Good morning peeps!first and foremost

Ellie: I wanted to extend again my most heartfelt support and prayers for your DS and the rest of your family! Words simply can not express the immense stress and worry you must be experiencing and we all hope and pray in our own way that you will be back with a report of "crisis over" very soon! Not having kids myself, I have NO idea what you must be going through but do know the power of having the support and shoulders of your friends (cyber or not!) We are all here for you, whatever you need as you would/have for us!

I have been lurking for awhile this morning trying to clear my head, thinking very hard about work and an upcoming opportunity that my be presented this week! I am a worrier on the side (LOL!) and completely over-analize and over-think everything, big or small... Anyway, to make a long story short, I may be a few steps closer to move back to the Pacific Northwest with my office, and may have an opportunity to get DH into a job that is more suited for his talents and aptitudes at my company as well with this move! The supervisor from that office will be in our office this coming Tuesday and wants to talk to me about the position and what it might include... I have been stewing over it all weekend (as I found out friday afternoon!) and will continue to do so until the conversation concludes and I know more where I/we stand... silly I know, but I just can't help it! The problem is that I really like my office and co-workers and the thought of starting over again with all new people (as I just started at this office less than a year ago) is definately something to consider... However, with what I do, you have to go where the work is, and the economic slowdown in the Commercial Construction sector is just plain scarey here and I have no projects upcoming once my current project wraps up in a month or so... Whereas the Seattle market is still booming and has a pretty healthy pipeline through 2010! Outlook much shorter here at the moment... but many other considerations that I won't bore you with...

Robin: sorry you have to work today! I'm sure you would rather be somewhere else! ;) like doing a Cathe workout! all in good time! Have fun with GSBSB and I am impressed with the Salad vs. Pizza choice! I'm not sure I would be so strong! Pizza is one of my favs!!!

Catherine: enjoy your R&R time and B&G... somehow those just don't go in the same sentence very well, but at least you will go from one extreme to the other! :) and BTW I LOVE your boot purchase during yesterday's power shopping excursion!

Judy: your run sounds great! I envy those who can run, but my knees just can't take it... enjoy the outdoors & Congratulations on your 25th anniversary. Enjoy your trip ALONE! LOL Where ya heading?

Wendy: So Sorry to hear Houdini is suffering with cold and ear infections! Hope the antibiotics and stuff kick in very soon! My lil sister used to get them ALL the time... so I feel your pain! Impressive workout so early this morning as well! enjoy your massage! sounds like you need some downtime after your last few days!

Heather: enjoy your stretch and rest day, and your outing with friends!

JJ: ok, so you need to find the thread from the other day about the RAKING WORKOUT and may want to reconsider that raking leaves should be counted an official workout! I'll bet you will work up a sweat and use both upper and lower body to complete this task! Will see when you have DOMS tomorrow using those lesser worked muscles that you never knew you had! LOL!! enjoy the fall weather!

well, need to find the BGR and get off the couch! so much to do, so little ambition!

Wow Dani, what a big decision you have to make. I am sending lots of positive decision making vibes your way ;)

I guess B&Gs and rest is sort of an oxymoron :p But I think it's very appropriate to rest and relax after B&G

Peeps
